So, you tell me tho... when does Murray sit then? You want him being Trae's partner... but you also want him on the floor when Trae's getting a breather... what gives?

I think that's asking too much. And I think the solution is to have Trae plus Murray plus Delon.

You rotate him out. He still plays starter minutes and starts. He comes out, Huerter/Bogi comes in. Trae comes out, He comes in. You balance this until the last 8-10 minutes of the 4th and let them finish the game together.

and to be clear, I agree with resigning Delon and figuring out how to rotate him into what I was describing.

The point is I’m making is creating the rotations isn’t hard. Having the people to rotate and fit the different roles is and we knocked that out of the park.

Okay, I held off getting juiced about this kid b/c it just never felt to me like this was going to get done... I sensed a Lucy and Charlie Brown situation, and I know I'm not the only one.

I'm now juiced. He really does seem to be a perfect fit for this starting line-up.

I'm not a fan of the idea that he'll play both with Trae and with the 2nd unit, as has been suggested may be in the FO's thought process. I don't see how that's practical, and I'm really hoping Delon is still at the top of the free agent shopping list.

I don’t agree here and I think it’s apart of the brilliance of the move. He’s got the chops as the PG. We need someone who can make things happen when Trae is on the bench. We also (currently) have a long jam at SG. It’s a nice piece for the coach to have and we no longer have to worry about stalling out offensively every time Trae goes to the bench. That allows us to rest him more and god forbid he gets hurt we can still compete.

Hell, I knew Ressler and Schlenk had to be on here when we drafted Cam Reddish. I was like ain’t no way, we never had a FO actually select a player that we all wanted before. Not since Horford and Acie Law. (Yes, don’t act like ALL of us didn’t think he was the next DWade lol)

Even resigning Solo and Lou last summer was a little too good to be true. I’ll take credit (shame) for the Kris Dunn signing. I was pushing his bandwagon heavy that offseason. My bad y’all

Well they obviously didn’t listen to me because I been trying to tell y’all Cam was trash 🏃🏿🏃🏿🏃🏿

Who would we want from those teams that's a win now player?

Heat: Bam (Not happening, and other heat players aren't worth john imo)

Kings: Kings want Barnes probably, I'd only want Sabonis for John

    Jazz: ???

I hope we don't make some silly trade of John just for the sake of making one. I really don't know what a good return player for him would be.

Perhaps Harrison Barnes and the Kings pick next year? The pick would probably be pretty high knowing that franchise... and we'd have money to spend.

Cap space to sign Ayton and a 1st would be dope AF. Especially if we could get a solid backup big out the deal.

If Gobert is a locker room problem then I don’t want him here.

We should bring back Solo Hill … he was invaluable for the young guys.

This is big. It wasn’t clear if Mitchell or Gobert was the root problem. If it IS Gobert then I agree

The most ideal team is Indiana for JC. They have a lot of cap space, they have an elite fit with Turner. They can give us a lot of cap space and give us a 1st to recoup that we are losing in this deal. This would ultimately mean Ayton is extremely possible for us.

If Schlenk manages to pull this off AND keep Auton and Turner he the fin GOAT

  7. We still got to shore up the Center position. I love CC, but the injury prone label is starting to come back.

I just wish we could package a deal for Gobert. Gobert anchors this team defensively AND is an upgrade offensively over Capela.

That team could become a dynasty.

If the Hawks gave up 3 or more, I don't know. This better work out because there is no pivot. Plus they will have to max him out in 2 years.

Eh you have to go all in at this point now that you’ve got a superstar centerpiece type player. The Heat series highlighted the need for another top level perimeter player. If it doesn’t work, he still has tremendous value. We didn’t give up anything but (likely) mid-rounders

If it doesn't work...the Hawks are screwed!  Everyone was just as happy after the Bogi sign too.

Bogi is a very good role player. Murray is a young All Star.

  9. Team has just been devastated by injuries and COVID. We do have a glaring gaping need for 2 more scorers. As much as I like Hunter, if he can’t stay healthy he’s no good to us. Haven’t watched Cam enough to have an opinion, but I’m sure he still struggles wildly with consistency like he always has. Sadly these two stepping up, being available, and playing consistently would solve 80-90% of our issues. We still need another guy who can get a bucket unassisted regularly.
