What does this mean?
-
Its funny how important it is to be tall in the basketball. This guy had never played basketball before when he was discovered in 2009 at age 17. Never. But now he is the NBA. Literally, as long as you can fog a mirror and you are 7 feet or taller, you will have a shot at playing professional basketball. That's really not an exaggeration.

The white man is our mortal enemy, and we cannot accept him.” – Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan
The point I was making was not that Grandmother harbors any racial animosity. She doesn’t. But she is a typical white person…” – Barack Obama
I get to) kill all the white people… How great is that?” – Jamie Foxx discussing his Django Unchanged role
Civil rights laws were not passed to protect the rights of white men and do not apply to them.” – Mary Frances Berry, former Chairwoman, US Commission on Civil Rights
White folks was in caves while we was building empires… We taught philosophy and astrology and mathematics before Socrates and them Greek homos ever got around to it.” – Rev. Al Sharpton in a 1994 speech at Kean College, NJ
There is a couple Northcyde.
I'm done with this silliness, there is unlimited racist remarks from all people, back to the Hawks.
Thank you. Point well taken. If you reversed the races in those quotes there would be outrage, but since it's blacks just talking about whites everyone just shrugs their shoulders. It's a blatant double standard. It's reverse racism. And the search for "racists" by looking for any remarks recorded off the record is almost akin to a modern day McCarthyism.

African-Americans can make remarks about whites with impunity, yet if a white makes a remark about black people they are condemned as hateful bigots. Enough of this reverse racist nonsense. You can't judge someone based on remarks off the record. If i catch you calling a woman a b$#ch does that mean you are sexist and hate woman? According to the current logic on fairly judging racism then the answer is yes, even though it is utter nonsense.

Where did anyone and especially a group of people say he sucks? And MVP means nothing because if it were a fair award MJ would have won them all and LeBron would be winning them all now because he's the best player in the game.
So what is your argument against Lebron as a basketball player. He basically has no flaws in his game.
-
Tim Duncan is not as versatile as Lebron, but his BBIQ and efficiency at the power forward position are undeniable.
-
Lebron might be the best passing small forward of all time. He can also defend positions 1 through 5. He is a threat to get a triple double any night, and he can drop 40 on you if he really wants to. He also is just won back to back championships and MVPs, and had one of the most efficient seasons in NBA history. But yea, you guys are right in your completely objective analysis. He sucks

People refuse to acknowledge Lebron's greatness. The smartest, most efficient, most talented player of his generation. Period.

Can we afford to pay Zaza 8 million a year? That's a lot for a back up.

I was out and didn't get to watch the game so I was wondering if anybody here saw it and what they thought about it.
I'm surprised that nobody has had much to say about any of the summer league games. I know it's summer league, but I figured there would be some feedback here. Here is a write up I found about the game last night. It looks like Teague, Crawford, and Gilder played well. I really like what I've seen from Gilder.

I didn't insert the link correctly, but you can copy and paste. Can somebody let me know the correct way to insert a link please? Thanks.
i didn't see it.

whats up with this? Im not getting anything

Its only 5 years 30 million, less than Marvin's deal. Match and trade Marvin, why not?
-
I like chills game, match his offer and trade Marvin. I love his put backs on air balls.
-
How come NBA TV doesn't have them on their TV schedule on their site?
-
I'd take Stephen Curry, he's going to be a star. Of course they are trading him.
-
He has the athleticism that for sure. But now he has to run a team, and that's not easy.
-
They have some similarities coming out of college. Both 6'3 200, they both were only 3 star recruits out of high school who developed into go to scorers at mid-major universities. Just like Wade, Crawford game is based upon attacking the rim (Though I think Crawford's jumper is more consistent that Wade's coming out of college) Wade was and is more athletic, but as Crawford showed in his dunk on Lebron, he isn't afraid to attack the rim and finish. We haven't had a guard like that....ever. (maybe teague) If you look at their college production, they were almost the same player.
I know it is pie in the sky, but there are always steals late in the draft.
The expression "poor man's Dwayne Wade" is misleading. Either you are an elite player such as Dwayne Wade or you are not. If you are a "poor man's" anything then there should be no comparison to Dwayne Wade, one of the best players of his generation.

Mentioning the Marvin trade salvaged this thread.
You're right about that! In fact I'm proving your point right now
-
ASG is in a tight spot, JJ isnt worth the max, but they have no choice in order to keep him. Years 4, 5 and 6 of that contract are gonna suck thats for sure.
-
Whats sad is that the only thing driving his price up is everyone wants him as bargaining chip to get Lebron or another free agent. No one really wants him for the max as a stand alone.
-
I don't think that is reason they didn't pick him. As long as he's not suffering from symptoms he's fine.
-
It is saying the greek papers are reporting this. I hope it is not true. I am hoping that we can get something for him instead of just losing him for nothing.
Well he wont start if Marvin comes back, and maybe wasnt too excited about playing with the bucks. It seemed to me more likely than not he go back to Greece., so long as he felt safe there in light of the championship riots that took place.
-
I wonder if we could get Josh Childress to come back and put him at the 3. While Marvin does his job (solid shooter, solid rebounder, solid perimeter defender), it seems like Chillz has a more unique skill set and makes his impression on the games more with offensive rebounding, put backs, and he can shoot when necessary as well. Also, Marvin gets hurt a lot, well so does chillz for that matter I guess, but I don't want to break the bank for a guy that plays 50 games a year.
Just WOW! (Levenson will sell Hawks)

It's 21st century McCarthyism, only with communism replaced with political correctness. Seriously, losing your business over a two year old email discussing demographic and racial issues in relation to attendance? Absolutely insane.
