Its all about Dennis and Dwight. Say what you want about Horford and Teague, those guys were very steady.

He seems like a good Euro player. Its going to be tough getting roster spot right now in the NBA. His agent is working the phones I'm sure.
-
It's all about Dennis and Dwight. If they struggle this year, watch out, we could end us sub .500 easily.

I like Dennis, I like that has some dog in him. But I'm not sure he is steady enough to handle the job. Most all great teams have either a great point guard, or a great point forward.

I'm going with 46 wins. I think we are going have trouble on offense some nights, but generally solid on defense. I think having two starters (Howard, Dennis) that aren't good shooters is going to be a problem.
-
I still think we should of kept him. He's solid, hes a great mid range shooter, good passer, good rebounder, good defender, High BBIQ. He's not Wilt Chamberlain or anything, but he is a good player. Everyone just wants to poo poo him now that he left.

Coach Bud was really being over dramatic, it wasn't that bad a fall.
-
He seems more like a 3 and D to me, with upside to expand beyond that. Those type players are important though.

1 year later and I still think it was a god awful trade. I don't even think hes worthy of an extension. He sucks.
I completely agree. I think some people on this board will defend anything Bud does.

We lost Horford and Teague. No objective observer would upgrade us until further notice on the young players..
-
I kinda feel like we need one more solid scoring threat.

The organization is handing Dennis the keys to the offense. I'm just not sure he's consistent and steady enough, night in and night out, to handle the job. Our team should be solid defensively, but we are going to be a mess on offense. Bud is going to have his hands full that's for sure.

You can question my intellect. You can question my basketball knowledge. ...... but you will not question my allegiance to Krispi Kreme.
This offense shall not go unpunished, sir.
I like DD better because the donuts are more doughy, almost like a pastry. KK donuts are just pure fat and glaze, it has a non food quality like cotton candy or something. yuck.

This isn't the appropriate place for that discussion, @bleachkit, but I for one am happy to engage the topic over in the Religion & Politics forum...
I thought it was germane to the discussion.

Its time to end the war on drugs. Why cant Mike Scott smoke weed and take MDMA if he wants? Its does not harm anyone else. This notion that drugs have to criminalized for the greater good of society is complete nonsense. Drug illegality causes far more harm be crearting an unregulated, crime ridden black market. We learned this during our nations disterous experiment with alcohol prohibition. Its just incredible how few people value civil liberties and personal freedoms and buy into drug stigma. Its completely irrational.

Still think we should have let him walk. Based on salary he's one of our big three. I personally think he's more of a role player.
-
Horford was hurt with those pec injuries and missed quite a bit of time. So now that he's gone maybe it bears looking at how we played without him. Anybody care to do the research?

His agent needs to fired. He is a solid big. He should be getting 8-10 million a year in this market.

Cleveland got put into POSITION to do those things, but if you wanna believe its all real, good for you partna.
So how can the NBA stage outcomes? They cannot make guys hit shots or play defense. You theory makes absolutely no sense. Explain how the NBA can entirely dictate the outcome of games. Let me hear it.

The NBA IS the reason its the way it is. The NBA don't want some random team getting into the NBA finals. Too much advertising money at stake. Its all fixed dude. You actually think Golden State came back from 3-1 against OKC? You really think Cleveland can beat Golden State?
They happy as pigs in slop that Golden State has Durant. The moment i heard that Jerry West met with Durant, i knew he was going to Golden State. Look at all these player contracts and money they making. There is no way in hell they gonna let a team like Atlanta accidently beat Cleveland and go to the finals. NO WAY NO HOW. Next year's NBA finals gonna break records, watch and see.
So the ending of game 7 was completely staged? The block? The Kyrie 3? Spare me your tin foil hat BS.

The NBA has to fix the way FA is. The players have way too much power in creating mega teams and screwing others. If you looked at the t3ams KD narrowed it down to it was all big 3 type teams. So unless you a. Have a superstar already in team and b. You are in a desired city. You have the chance for the players to talk and built a super team. If not, you are just a minor league team supplying the others. It is frustrating to watch.
No. They league already did that with bird rights and the extra year and extra money. If anything remove the cap, and salary restrictions and allow teams to pay whatever needs to be paid to keep the stars. When players you have never heard of are getting max deals the only leverage superstars have is that they can leave.
-
Sam Presti must be inconsolable. Westbrook is leaving next year too. You drafted Durant, Westbrook, and Harden. Nobody has drafted a group of stars like that. And he loses them all.

-
Very surprised! Its a short deal though. The league has changed. Superstars of yesteryear would never have done this. Klay, Steph, and Durant, that's a lot of shooting.

If we had a really smart point guard, or point forward to make this thing work, we could be really good. But as is we are going to be a mess on offense.
Schröder agrees to 4 years 70 mil extension

I am happy for Dennis, but the guy is not a finished product. He turns the ball over, and his shooting isn't that great.
