Clint
Clint is just the better of three right now
Dre and Clint
I thinks Dre and Collins can get us Kat with some combination of a young guy or a pick.

I like this question even better. Instead of Mike Bibby, we get to transport Trae Young back to that season. How would that have changed things?
The perfect pairing.

Then he struggled in the series against Miami and the narrative reverted back to wondering if he should even be a starter in this league.
Add in the historic media bias against Atlanta teams and players and there you have it. I’m convinced if Trae was drafted by the Knicks he’d be on his third All NBA team at least.
That is why trae Young is the right fit for this organization. He has been treated like that his whole career and the Hawks have been treated like that for forever. That what drives him and to lift a city like this against those odds is a dream for him. That is why I will always be a Trae fan. He gets it and feeds off it.

I just made a thread but I’d love him as an assistant.
Definitely, I wonder what his relationship is like with Quin?

Yeah I went on a youtube search and you should here all the surprise and excuses. They even keep bringing up old false reports about trades and likability. Perk is callem out quit with the fictional narrative. Oh by the way, what is Luka doing?

Hawks have officially overachieved this postseason imo...
We were supposed to be swept.
Instead, we've at least created doubt in Boston's Championship aspirations....
Obviously, getting Game 6 at home gives us hope of doing more..
Murray coming back pissed off should help. lol
Don’t forget we were supposed to lose to Miami who crushed Trae and had him all figured out. The law of the mid means we can’t be under 50%. So our odds of winning it all are still pretty great. Lol

Man I am glad superstar Al Horford let Trae get a little shine tonight.
This is delectable. I would love some Boston tear soup right now. Lol.

Just came in to say that was a good game by Dre. His best all around game as a Hawk. I know said I was done with the guy but got to give him props when it is due.
Trae is a bad man. That is all folks.

I didn't know that Smart could hit the three like that.
I don't like him, but I got a little more respeck for him.
He is the main reason for their improvement. He is now a good point guard who can hit the three. Add the to his defensive reputation and viola. Still going down though.

Boston sucks. It will be so great if they somehow blow this series. I am here for it.

100%. After the 2021 playoffs, in the 2022 regular season he took his game to another level we hadn't seen before. The Miami series broke him mentally.
It's pretty clear that Trae lives and dies by his confidence. Check his summer league and the first 2 months of his rookie year, the criticism was in his head until he overcame it. Miami series happened and it took him down a peg and he's still trying to get through it.
The reason he's not a winning player right now is confidence. If we have 2021/22 Trae confidence he is a legitimate winning player that is extremely hard to stop. Because of his size, so much of his game is based on quick/fast decisions, so if his confidence is shaken AT ALL he's going to struggle.
Interesting take. There might be something to this. I don’t agree that Miami shook his confidence though. But it is clear his 3 point shooting has taken a dip. He is almost reluctant to shoot it at times. Not only did he not become more of an off the ball shooter, he actually shot off the dribble worse. I think this might have been the coaching rub that Trae was trying to conform his game by not taking shots when he felt like it to try to become more efficient but it worked in the opposite.

I'm sitting here watching our own guy shatter records left and right and I'm dumbfounded as to how people ignore all of that to focus on TEAM FLAWS that are holding him back.
Not to mention when that guy in Dallas didn’t even make the playoffs and still gets MVP votes. Nuts.

Al ain't even top 50 all time for me. But he's the best Atlanta Hawk though.
We are all entitled to our opinions. I am not going slam you for the way you view Horford I am not sure why anyone would slam someone for liking a player like Trae.

I am officially done with Hunter. He is a low effort player and is not good defensively.

Hunter had me frustrated that game. He has to play better point of attack defense and finish defensive possessions. He has to have some aggression to his defensive game. Everyone steps up their defensive intensity in the playoffs but our “best perimeter defender” looks lax out there. Also, he is fouling people right in front of the refs. Those fouls don’t look obvious but they are fouls. Other more savvy defenders play tough like that when the contact is out of sight of the referees.

I kind of like that I can go into this game with no expectations and just enjoy how it unfolds. Less stressful to watch. But oh boy of they upset the Smeltics, pure joy.

would you rather miss the playoffs and finish top 3 in the draft lottery or make the playoffs and lose 4-2 to either the Celtics or Bucks?

I still would take the lottery finish.
Beating the Celtics yes. Hate them.

Was it this thread that someone said that Ja Morant didn’t have any character off the court issues when we were comparing Trae’s issues? Ja done F’d up his career.
