They can at least tell their own freaking beat writers that the rumors are false so some idiot like Brad Rowland won't create a postcast announcing a trade is imminent.

Get off my man Brad. That dude pus in a lot of hours on these Hawks. I go there when Hawks news is barren and he is right there with the monotone delivery. Lol.

It is wild that just changing a coach has made this much impact.  I was asking my buddy who coaches high school the other day what % he felt was:

    1. New coach

    2. Health

    3. Player buy in

Player buy in might be the most because they can’t blame anybody else now and they know they are competing for real now.

Not trading him due to having to pay an extra 15% if we do

Cam should be off limits. Rondo and the okc pick would be as far as I would go

Do we have to pay he trade kicker or the team trading for him?

This is well said.  I would also mention that Bawb said on the telecast that he thinks this may be the most deflections he has ever seen the Hawks have.  And he has been doing this a LONG time.

Yeah, I heard him say that. That’s crazy to think that Nate has this team doing this this fast. I also think Letting LP go put the team on notice that everybody needs to perform or they might find themselves on the short end of the stick.

  5. During this streak, this seems to be the key. Guys are doing all the small things at a high level. Everyone seems to be accountable for their role, hustling, happy for teammates, prepared, resilient, and dare I say it, mentally tough. Nathan Knight may be the embodiment of this mentality.

What are your predictions and thoughts about our 8 game west swing coming up. I got us at 5-3.

     @ Lakers W

    @ Warriors W

    @ Nuggets L

    @ Suns L

    What does everyone think here?

I am going conservative.  Trying to work guys back into the rotation is always tough. 3 - 5. The last two games worry me because they are back to backs and a long plane ride in between.

LP cost Trae and Capela and AllStar berth..smh..Hawks would be top 4 seed if we had Nate from the start..

Thats probably why Trae and Collins were mad at him. Forced them to play a certain way and sacrifice, but it didn't lead to wins and their individual numbers were down.

The ones that irritate me are the early clock, no one under the basket 3's.  I don't know how to look it up, but I'd guess his make % on those is well below 37%.  Especially early in the game.  But it also seems like he's cut down on those quite a bit this year.

Spot on. He has done much better at this although he did do it in the Cleveland game once. The best time for him to do it is in a two for one situation.

    Eggsactly.

He may not be "better" than certain other guys but the mere fact that he plays with energy/enthusiasm benefits the team.

I'm sick and tired of watching teams like OKC, CHA, CLE, and others out play us with middling dudes that just out-work our guys.  Meanwhile, our guys are all too cool for school getting boxed out and bodied by skinny dudes I never heard of.

I mean, I've known about Kenrich Williams since his college days and I know he's been decent in the league.  But that dude was the best. player. on. the. court. at times when we played.  How does that happen?  Because our guys failed to match his energy level.  That dude had a 70's style shag and was whippin our collective arses most of that game.  Shiiiii, we've been beat by a dude with a rat-tail and a dude with a shag.  Last time that happened to a team in the same season, it was 1979!

Knight is a change of pace ... and obtw he's actually good.  Play the man!

^^^ this. This is spot on. The biggest difference between our current wins and losses is that we are not letting Joe Blows come in here and have the game of their lives against us. Everyone on our team is playing with the right energy no matter who they face.

You keep saying this BS.  Don't you see what is happening?  The same thing happened in the Miami game.  Maybe some of y'all are just slow to understand what Nate is doing but I see such a difference in the team's mentality.  Less of a focus on shooting 3's and more of a focus on defensive rebounding and limiting turnovers.  Nate himself said that this is the focus and it is happening but yet y'all keep trying to convince yourselves that it isn't.  I find this very strange.

Yes. I also noticed the pace of play is down significantly. This reduces the other teams opportunities to score. That is why the scoring has been so low of late. This how DeAndre Hunter played at Virginia. He should excel in this style when he returns.
