  1. Loving Trae’s on-ball steal of Randle and Capela’s getting his anchor on.
  2. I always thought Dwight was pretty ass (nothing but hops and shoulders), his communication and synergy on defense being the main reason. But Embiid and Simmons are so good defending PNR it kinda evens out for them as a team. It’ll be interesting to see if we can connect on more lobs than we did early in the Knicks series.
  3. I understand the pause but it’s fun to look forward. I predicted a 4-2 series win so I got a game to totally discount the Knicks, a roster I never respected as they’ve proved to be a sweet matchup for the Hawks. If we lose this next one I’ll shut up about the Sixers. Question: do the Hawks pull a Larry Drew versus Prime Dwight move? I don’t want Capela struggling with foul trouble in addition to being unable to match Embiids scoring. Just let that man drop 40-50 a game while singling him up with the Bruno’s and OOs and Knights. The spots where they double him should be well-timed, he’s far better than Randle in that regard. The rest of their squad is capable of another 50-55 points maybe. I’ll take my chances with the Hawks getting to 100 first and eventually winning with the way we’ve been defending lately. That’s 18 Embiid triple threat possessions where the possibilities are: 1. a missed shot and defensive rebound 2. hard foul leading to at least a point 3. Pass out to a well-defended player 4. Best case scenario drawing an offensive foul 5. Getting scored on Doc is going to be thinking outside the box when it comes to defending Trae, a Top 2 MVP candidate who’s big as a tool shed deserves the same respect. Make our young Bigs run him off the three point line because Clint ain’t about that life lol. His touch from there becomes softer with each FT he makes so we gotta pick the poison. We simply can’t let him get his within the flow of their normal offense with Harris and Simmons attacking the rim and Green and Curry getting open looks. Let’s test his supposed improved stamina and conditioning in a series where everyone knows what’s happening strategy-wise after Game 2.
  4. And have y’all noticed his misses from three are of a much higher quality than in the past? We’ve seen a fair share of airballs, bricks, and rim grazes that have no chance of being offensive rebounded. Now his shot is producing more high bounces off the rim that John and Clint can grab or tip, or long caroms that Dre, Bogi, and Kevin hunt down. When you combine his efficiency from 30 feet (!), the possibility of John or Clint having a putback (and possibly And 1), and the possibility of Bogi or Kevin getting a wide open look as the defense scrambles results in an insanely high PPP sequence. Clearly our marksmen have been getting more reps up in practice under Nate.
  5. Great vid. I try to point out all of his standout plays during the game. This was the crux of my gripes with him during regular season play: just put your body and energy on the line to prevent being a liability. Clearly that isn’t a priority during the regular season for him (and that’s fine, it’s likely an agreement between GM, trainers, and coaches), but it clearly is in the playoffs. If he’s anywhere near a neutral defender it maximizes the transition opportunities and we see this team looking like a circus that coaches simply can’t find an answer for. There’s clearly a playoff intensity on that end I admit I didn’t think we’d see, and I owe him an apology as if he cares. I can’t question his will to win anymore as he simply isn’t taking plays off and realizing how he can help standout defenders like Clint and Dre be even better through simple communication, footwork, and active arms. I don’t even mind the couple three point fouls he’s committed as he’s had other close outs that have affected shots and lead to a Hawks board. Nate has been a godsend for Trae, marrying a toughness and accountability element to his ridiculous skill set. His next step is to post multi-steal games, drawing a few more offensive fouls, and more 7-8 rebound games which were common during his ROTY push.
  6. The Sixers don’t rebound as well as I thought (13th offensive and defensive). Thybulle on Trae is gonna be very interesting as well as John’s strength versus Harris’ spacing and quickness, Dre is certainly gonna cross-match. I’m almost like let Joel get his without fouling him so damn much. Gotta bottle Seth Curry up for sure, like ball deny his ass. It could come down to the benches. Nate > Doc.
  7. Damn bro sorry for your loss, I wasn’t in any of those discussions. I can’t imagine how pissed you were/ are at everything surrounding the pandemic.
  8. I was clowning the Knicks for selecting Knox with a lottery pick (although I thought he could be a poor man’s Rudy Gay with a functioning franchise). Bruh they selected Frank Ntilikina even higher. Aren’t you supposed to trade lottery picks before they become part of the garbage time gang? We got mid-rounders running their starters off the floor
  9. I wonder how Pacers fans are framing the Nate tenure now. Probably shifting blame squarely on the GM lol.
  10. I thought they was supposed to be this great defense. Them boys didn’t want no parts of that last rotation lol.
  11. I always admired Chris Paul but was never really a fan. I love watching that little f&@ker now.
  12. Bruh RealGM would literally crash and explode.
  13. I would’ve fallen on the floor had he been in a suit.
  14. They did a list with just 10 assists last game that had Magic on it, now he’s dropped off. I’m guessing Kevin Johnson will drop off next game while Trae stays. That’s some crazy company man.
  15. “Authorities escorted serial killer Kevin Joseph Huerter into the courtroom, his face showing no signs of remorse for his atrocities.”
  16. LeBrons head is still near the rim. I’m with @Diesel now that man gotta be juicing.
  17. I can’t really tell when Dre plays bad. His movement and positioning on both ends are so good I don’t sweat his shooting too tough. He defends anyone on any play, sometimes two and three dudes.
  18. Another sparkling game from John and Clint on Randle. I think the war wounds are gonna energize John even more.
  19. Jeff Van Gundy mentions Charlie Ward like once every other game he announces.
  20. I didn’t know that. Glad he did, that seems pretty rare to allow a coach that young to do so but Travis is a youngin too relative to the traditional GM.
  21. Red Velvy with totals of 39 points, 15 boards, 6 assists, 2 steals, 6 blocks, and 2 turnovers. He legit has a whole win share in this series with Bogi and Trae. So proud of his improvement man. Does he wanna help build something special or go get starter’s money for some dumpster fire is the question. I’m going with the former.
  22. Yeah those coaches coming to bat for him was weird. They know damn well he’s green and that Nate is real quality.
  23. Even Schlenk gotta be surprised at this chemistry and these fits. He’s made great moves since he arrived, arguably none better than bringing Nate Mac-10 into the fold. Does the man even sleep?
  24. No one on our team respects their regular season defense. Not sure how their points allowed was so low playing Philly and Brooklyn so much. Must’ve had key guys out every time.
  25. Happy happy, joy joy. This is a pretty damn high playoff standard. Thibs gonna start stealing Nate’s stuff on D.
