Post more. @AUhawksfan and you don’t post a lot but I really like your stuff, both. You’re like excel players off the bench with limited minutes.

I’d like to give you guys more run 🏃‍♀️ :laugh1: @kg01 can hit the bench he needs a blow…

These old bones can't handle the load, so I have to be like a microwave when I post and make the most of the minutes I got.  Quality > quantity.

We need you and @kg01 to keep the minutes up for team morale, although I'm not really sure who is keeping both of you in check.

I don't follow your logic here.

    1. Since They Both Got Hate for Joining Super Teams There Is No Hypocrisy:  Bron got a lot of hate for pressing the "easy" button and moving to Miami to enjoy a stacked team.
    2. KD Marketed Himself as a "Loyal to OKC" Guy and Dissed LeBron for Leaving:  KD was one of Bron's haters and threw shade at him in two ways.  First, he made the tweet a week after LeBron made his announcement criticizing the fact that everyone wanted to run to other franchises like the Lakers instead of winning themselves.  Second, he specifically contrasted himself to LeBron by preaching his loyalty to Oklahoma.
    3. KD Was Already on A Title Contender:  The Thunder were up 2-0 in the WCF and had already been to the NBA Finals.  They were already title contenders and were still good enough to win 48 games a year the next 3 seasons after KD left whereas Cleveland was a house of cards without LeBron (winning 19 and 21 games the next two seasons) and were moving in the wrong direction (losing badly to Boston in the second round).  LeBron also went to a team that had proven nothing whereas KD joined a team that won a title 1 year before and 73 games that season.  (I.e., they were already historically good without him)

Now I'm not a fan of the super team approach at all but LeBron got every bit as much "hate" as KD when he made the move.

(Harden got criticism too but I just don't think he is as relevant since he is arguably not even a top 20 player anymore.  His power play moves are just much lower stakes so he gets raked over the coals but fewer people care in contrast to someone who is the best or second best player in the game.)

Yeah, plenty of hate has gone around for these guys.  Harden included.  This just encompasses what the problem is for KD:  he can't keep his mouth shut.

He has looked hypocritical with past comments and has gotten sucked into flame wars on Twitter, etc.  All that stuff has just put more of a spotlight on him while he tries to constantly defend himself to the masses when honestly he just needs to let it go.  At least guys like Harden and Bron kind of accepted the hate for what it was and moved along.

How many years we gonna let Soften (hes too fat to be hard-en) get away with the 'uh, I came into the season outta shape' eggscuse before we realize he's just over the hill and Father Time is 82-0?

Nah, he's just waiting and cruising through the regular season so he can turn it on when it's playoff time.  Lean mean beard machine!  Right?  Right???

The point is no one asked anyone for an analysis.  Someone just showed a video of Dre working on his weakness which should be a cause for celebration but not here.

Says the guy who rarely celebrates anything.....

As I stated back in April, there is more to this story then the media is discussing. Cooper and the Hawks were trying to spin summer league into up'ing his trade value so they could get something back for their investment. He bombed.  The Murray trade gave them their backup plan at the 1 and Cooper believes he can contribute. He did not want to go back to the g-league. No idea what his plans for the future are.

Whole situation doesn't smell right because the whole story isn't out there. It'll come out eventually.

It’s one thing to believe you can contribute but it’s another to show it. He had a chance to at least show flashes and he failed.  Best of luck ‘Rife!

Schlenk buys stamps and mails in SL every year.  I blame yall for letting your basketball withdrawal make you get excited.

But I need this!  I need something!!!  I’m struggling over here and this isn’t fixing it.

In the comment section though, somebody said Hawks came up, somebody else said 63 Celts too so they could just all be crazy. Lol.

And you believed them?  Are you the same person clicking because they have young, sexy, single Hawk fans that live next door to you and you didn’t even know it?

  8. So, the real question is are you the Heat, Spurs, or Lakers?  Since I’m none of those I’ll make up my own.

I’m the Sacramento Kings.  Mostly forgotten but occasionally I’ll pop my head out with some ish that’ll make you scratch your head. I also lead people to drink heavily so they can stand me.

Wait. This isn’t going so well….

Never been a fan of D Wade.  Awesome player no question, but never a true heat guy nor LeBron.  Way too self-absorbed.  No coincidence he serves therm in no capacity but has ownership in the Jazz and is a fashion model for TNT.  I’ll take the Chalmers or Norris Cole jersey lol.

How was he not a Heat guy?  He is “the” Heat guy. Took a pay cut his whole time there and only left because Riley’s stubborn self wouldn’t finally pay him what he was worth. Still came back, buried the hatchet, and gave his fans one last run.

If he wants to pursue other financial opportunities after his career that pop up, then good for him.  He has done plenty for that franchise.

He’s likely a cap causality regardless like PJ Tucker before the season.  Bucks might dismiss this season due to the Middleton injury and try to run it back but they’ve got a lot of key FAs on an already expensive core.

I like Portis, just not as a replacement for a starter, but that is high quality depth that needs to be looked at. His toughness, athleticism, rebounding, defensive versatility, and shooting means you can mix and match him with any and all of the current frontcourt.

Yeah, that's what I was hinting at.  He doesn't have to start, but he could get a lot of meaningful minutes on our squad if he was up for the role.

Ya'll focus way too much on stats.

Let's redo the top 75 NBA list, Supes style!

    1. Al Horford

    2. Draymond Green

    3. Dennis Rodman

    4. Ben Wallace

    5. Robert Horry

    36. Cam Reddish

Let's just list all the players that played on winning teams and contributed to them but never had a defense have to focus on them because they just aren't that good offensively.  All while completely negating other players that put up amazing statistics despite having teams hone in on them.  These players help you win a chip but they aren't the reason you're winning it.  You need a guy that puts up numbers and draws attention to do that.  Basketball 101.

Your attachment issues are really clouding your judgment bro.

I do appreciate you keeping the Hawks offseason interesting though.

Yepy.....Nope....8 points in his followup game.

    Nostradamus over here!

It’s ok, Karl Malone…I mean, Al Horford has another 130 playoff games to hit that mark again. So when he’s 48 and puts up another 30 piece in the playoffs you’ll see why he was a more meaningful Hawk than ‘Nique!

  13. I liked Al when he was here.  He's a proven winner, but I don't need to give him any additional recognition with our franchise given the way he left.  He could've done so much more to not leave a bad taste when he left.  Same can be said for Bud.

Al is a winner, but a tertiary player at best on a championship team.  Winners don't always equal championships either and I can think of plenty of times he wasn't clutch for us, and that point blank miss with the Celtics vs. Rockets.....so yes, having him on your team is a plus but don't rely on him with the clock winding down.
