  1. Phoostal, The Hawks probably won't win another game this year. The team is just awful. Play.
  2. Deez, WOW! You are resting your hopes on a high schooler that just isn't ready to start in the NBA. You are asking the kid to be the next Reef. A guy to come out and try to lead a team and he just isn't ready. Good luck on that one. Play.
  3. wallace = credibility? The guy has all but signed the contract with New York. wallace wasn't staying in Atlanta, furthermore, he is not this great player you wanted him to be. He is a career 16 PPG 6 RPG guy with tons of potential that will never be filled. Play.
  4. Forget Kobe. Forget Richardson. Kenyon Martin is an idiot. He isn't worth max money and is only a big name right now because he is with the nets. Crawford is going in a trade, if he goes at all. Go Hawks!
  5. Come on guys, two weeks ago Billy Knight could do no wrong. You all were lauding him for ditching salary. Now, he continues to dump and you whine? I don't get it. I thought it was a mistake to move Reef/Theo. But, that's just me. Play.
  6. Pusha, The point is everyone was hailing him as the second coming after the first quarter. I was pointing out that it was a little early for all that. Play.
  7. Dr. Z, It is SO funny, because over in PTL all they can talk about is how Reef was the ONLY reason they were in the LAL game. Even though he missed the shot (he was fouled) they stuck by him. All the complaints Hawks people had are strengths in their eyes. The same is said with wallace. I think the grass is just green right now. Quit looking through rose colored glasses. rasheed was not somehow held down in PTL. Play.
  8. KB, How is that again? If Reef penetrating was the source of TOs - and he only averaged 2.4, how does that equate? Terry still did his TO thang. wallace did his "more than Reef" TO thang. You are definitely right ... don't jump the gun. Play.
  9. You all were trouncing Reef in the thread below and praising wallace like the second coming. Someone basically said, "if the game is on the line, you'll see the difference between wallace and Reef". Well, I guess we see the difference between Reef and wallace. Let's evaluate: 1st 3 QTRS: 20 pts. 6 rebounds. 4th QTR: 0 points. 1 goaltend. 2 turnovers. 2 missed 3 pointers. 0 rebounds. Questionable defense on Rodney Rodgers. Same bald spot! Oh, that is the TRUTH! He is basically UNSTOPPABLE right?! Come on guys, you are being silly. The only thing this guy does better than Reef is play defense. 20 points on 24 shots! That's atrocious! It's just bad. 6 rebounds! Woohoo! Let's give it up to the savior! Trading him would be a HUGE mistake. You guys are being silly right now. I am not saying he isn't talented, but praising him on some early minutes like he is the second coming of Christ is just lame. Play.
  10. http://oregonlive.com/blazers/oregonian/in...93627265461.xml -- Randolph not so good as people thought. http://nypost.com/sports/knicks/16335.htm -- Rasheed tells Damon he's heading to NY???
  11. From what I have seen of Randolph is that his game is limited. He is good around the rim, but he can't create. He is very BIG DOGGISH. He gets the ball and it is in the void. It is going up as a shot. Even his own teammates comment on that aspect. Portland guys want to trade him, so he can't be that special. I think he is a big boy that scores. But, he won't ever take the next step. I don't think he physcially can do it. Play.
  12. Path, rasheed also had Person in Portland. He also had DA. rasheed will do what rasheed will do. The last thing Hawks fans should want is for the team to win. rasheed is NOT coming back. He is probably going to NY, Houston or Philly (w/ Mo Cheeks). So, the worst thing that could happen is win just enough to take yourselves out of the lottery and then also lose the only reason you weren't a lottery team. Winning would have been okay if rasheed would stay, but he isn't going to. Play.
  13. Dolf, I am not sure who I would take out of the two. I think Kobe IS more versatile and far more talented. But, I don't think he can carry a team without becoming detrimental. Iverson on the other hand, finds a way to make those roleplayers around him play better. Although, he makes good players play worse. I would probably take Kobe - because of the talent and the unknown factor. He might dominate with his own team. But, I think the defensive mindset is the way to go. It isn't exciting, but it makes us tough. Play.
  14. I do this deal in a second. I said it in another post. Francis, first and foremost, fills the stands. Secondly, this season is over. Third, he is the type of player everyone wants. Exciting. A big draw. He is within your grasp. Kobe isn't coming. Iverson is a long-shot. Play.
  15. Deez, Obviously you weren't watching the games... rasheed was playing SF. Which is why he was jacking up so many threes. He didn't play center. Randolph is a black hole (and a whiny little brat --- http://oregonlive.com/blazers/oregonian/in...67718299200.xml ). BUT, rasheed isn't talented enough to pull 11 rebounds and score 24 points. Sorry, he just isn't... and if he is... he doesn't have the mindset. Play.
  16. If they just offered Francis, then ATL would be dumb NOT to take it. I don't think Francis is the answer, by any means ... but he will fill the arena. Play.
  17. Cy, Again, it is the defensive side of the ball that this team is REALLY going to struggle on. I will still watch, but I think the move was a move to tank the season. I don't believe this lineup fills any of the gaps the team had and it makes our defense QUITE pourous. Before when Terry went for his "olay" Theo could alter the shot. NOW - you have Nazr looking confused. This team could be dangerous in two years though. The moves to make are: Draft & Sign Okafur. - He is the only one assured to come out of the draft and be able to instantly contribute. I still say he is a max 15-10 kind of guy, but that isn't bad. Bat eyelashes at mid-profile players. Get a "TEAM" together, rather than individuals. Kobe is NOT the answer and is probably NOT going to come here. Iverson on the other hand -- he may. A strong supporting cast is what Iverson needs. Build a STRONG defensive team FIRST! The players are cheap and are easier to resign. Then get the stud to generate the offense. That is the way I see it. Play.
  18. Deez, Wasn't rasheed playing for a contract in Portland and doing an sub-par job? What changes? The fact that he is "the man"? Come on. That's silly. Further, what makes rasheed the first option when Reef, a much better offensive talent, wasn't our first option? He was like option 1.a. Jackson 1.b. Terry 1.c. Play.
  19. Deez, I think you are right... Randolph might be on the way out. He played a horrible game, with NO emotion or desire. Further, with the game on the line, Reef, Miles and Theo were the front court. Reef played a lot of PF with Miles at the SF. Strange. Play.
  20. Dolf, Randolph has NO DEFENSE. None to the point that it makes Reef look like All-NBA Defensive team. Further, Randolph is a muscle player. He muscles for his points, but he does not create. Ask any Portland fan. A lot of people are calling for him to be traded now that they have Reef. Randolph may be aggressive, but he isn't a good player. He is a REALLY big Dion Glover. Play.
  21. I may be WAAAAY off base, but I am not sure they are allowed to practice during the all-star break. Play.
  22. Dolf, I can say, if he isn't upset about the trade - I sure as heck am. I don't know how he is going to play out there at SF. Zach Randolph is a goon and not that great of a player. He can't create, doesn't have much of a shot and can be shut down easily. He has no dribble and is actually the worst defender I've ever seen. He is their PF. It is scary. Play.
  23. Dolf, I understand, but I don't think he really gave it to ATL. I think he was just hurt, and that was the expression. I don't think it was "Ha ha. They suck. I hate them." Because I'd bet my bottom dollar he would come back right now. I think he was just expressing his hurt and the feeling of being dejected. He is just a kid. Play.
  24. Not a chance. If the team wins 6 of the next 30, I'll be duly impressed. They still have weak perimeter defense (Person is a pathetic defender too). Couple that with the loss of their only interior presence in Theo. And you have yourself one awful defensive team. The ONLY defender is rasheed and he is only marginally better than Reef. Good luck winning 2 out of 3 with that lineup. Further, where is the discipline? You have Jason "Jack-It-Up" Terry, Stephen "Jack-It-Up"-Son and add rasheed "love-the-three" wallace. That means, three of the five starters have no conscience when it comes to the three-pointer. Then add to this you don't have a coach worth a hill of beans, and he will probably be scared of Wallace... Man, it is going to be ugly. Play.
  25. AHF, Oh boy, what ever would we do if we hadn't resigned waste of a good, fresh air Terry? Play.
