  1. So correct me, hero. What is the average salary for an NBA starting SF? What is the starting salary for an NBA starter? Look. We get it. You won't be happy unless Sund does a S&T with Marvin for CP3. It pains me to break it to you, kiddo, but the 2005 draft is wrapped up, McFly.
  2. Here's an even simpler thought: Do you need to "carry a team" to earn around the average salary for an NBA starter? Is Marvin at least as good as an average NBA starter? At 23 years old, no less?
  3. ASG will probably spend the cash on legal fees relating to their ownership fight. That said, this guy was never going to play for Atlanta. Anyone who bails when a backup center is re-signed is not worth pursuing. Obviously, a 2nd round pick in 2010 is not worth a 2nd round pick in 2002, but we take what we can get for whining Euro players who won't compete for a bench spot. Don't worry AndersEn. I see you starting at the 5 for Houston in the next century. Rock on, Aussie. Yao could be an amputee and still start over this guy.
  4. Of course he is. The problem is finding a head coach who will run15 plays that allow him to.
  5. We are the same young team which is now one year older with an improved sixth man. Maybe we'll still end up a #4 in the East, but as of right now our star is a lot brighter than at least two of three teams ahead of us. Before the offseason I worried about both Washington and Chicago contending for the #4, but I think losing Gordon will really hurt Chicago.
  6. They have spent on the Hawks, but what is even more surprising is their moves with the Thrashers. It seems like they've definitely opened their wallets a little this offseason.
  7. Something tells me (not sure what) that J J will demand more than 3 years at $18 mil.
  8. I would give Bibby a head-coaching-option at year 3.
  9. No, but we were blown out by Clippers at home with a Bibby-less team.
  10. Could Atlanta be bluffing? If Childress calls us on it and we actually match, it would likely cost us Williams.
  11. Christ Almighty I hope this is true. To many of you - of course Bibby is not a long-term solution. But the guy runs the offense well (which Woodson does not). This team is honestly lost without him on the floor. Exhibit 1782745387 was the Clippers game at home last year when Bibby was injured.
