We competed with Cavs, Lakers, Orlando, and Boston last season (until playoffs) but none theless. None of them have gotten better except MAYBE Cavs. None of you would of picked orlando to go to the finals this year - don't even try and lie about that. Im not saying im just sayin...... We would be substantially better next season with this lineup. No doubt. Sometimes I think people on here are like Randy Quaid from Major League. Anyone who has watched the Hawks the last couple of years knows what Zaza has brought to the team. There are going to be some good teams that offer him a contract this off season. Now more than ever, with good BU centers slim to none, I think it is time to show Zaza how much we would like him back here in atlanta. Why should he want to play here for the same amount of money he could be earning with a top contender. I think the players read these blogs more than we think so now is your time to speak your mind.

Stupidity annoys me. Bringing back zaza, marvin, and bibby + adding teague and crawford AND MCDYESS makes us as good as boston, orlando, and even the cavs. This would make us instant contenders. I just don't see this happening unless rockets lay off zaza and Mcdyess just really likes atlanta......

Also would rather keep Marvin. I like his Defensive ability that IMO is underrated. I think our focus is purely resigning our own guys (with maybe exception of flip) and getting an added big man with experience if anything.

Also, it is important to point out that Flynn, Holiday and Law all came with risks as well. And Rubio might not play at all. I'm loving this pick. I agree he is a combo guard but, assuming he can play defense which I believe he will, I think his offensive fire that he will bring will overshadow his passer inadequacies. Plus the dude can pass- he tore up the ACC all season until the end.

Why is everyone so negative about our pick. First off Lawson wasnt available and second Teague has more potential than Lawson. Blessing in disguise. Teague will be our starting PG by mid season even if we resign Bibby. He will blossom like Bradon Roy did. Watch......

Zaza is a no-brainer. He brings what we lack for cheap and is a good motivator. McDyess or Gooden would be nice but don't see that happening. I think Gorat or Bass would be best fits but just wouldn't be that vet leadership everyone seems to value (and rightfully so).
