  1. It was only a few possessions before LD called a timeout and seemed to correct it. But those few possessions early in the 4th marked a huge turning point. A few ISO plays (one for Horf, one for Craw, 2 for JJ), and that was that.

Crawford didnt have a iso play he didnt even have the ball . LD called a timeout because Joe ran out the clock for 3 straight possessions

Zaza should have been in but the loss had little to do with Crawford having the ball because he didnt

  2. For your Tyrone Lue impersonation at the start of the 4th. Your shot selection and decision making allowed the Bulls to make their run.

Why do we stop moving the ball around in the 4th? We always seem to do it.

What are you talking about ? everytime you come with some stupid made up stuff.

jamal took two shots in the 4th quarter and one was to beat the clock and on one he was wideopen and missed .

he had no turnovers and barely got to touch the ball again ?

Did you watch the game ? Do you need video ?

  3. We need a total team effort! We could contemplate whose turn is to show up all day, but we'll need everyone tonight!

Everybody will be against us... Bulls, their fans, main-stream media, NBA, refs, mascots, blues brothers, freakin' wind...

We'll just have to take blows and keep coming back at them... and hopefully win!

    Let's go!

just the way I like it . :D

from chicagos paper this morning .....

The Bulls also believe that the inadvertent-whistle issue, in which referee Bennett Salvatore later apologized for not giving Rose a three-shot foul call, wasn’t the only time the officials should have been whistle-blowers. The Bulls thought Rose took some pretty good shots — literally and physically — on some drives that rolled off the rim.

“Derrick has to continue to drive with force,’’ Thibodeau said. “If he continues to do that, he’ll get calls.’’

    Rose also dropped the hint.

“I was taking the ball extremely hard,’’ he said. “I guess they weren’t fouling.’’

Whether the refs owe the Bulls one is open to debate. The whistles tend to be friendlier at home, anyway.

Whether the Bulls owe the Hawks one is not open to debate.

“We just have to jump on them from the beginning,’’ Rose said, “and see how they play then.’’

this is why we start the big lineup and put the hammer to someone early because thats what they are gonna try and do .

  4. ISO-Joe is not the answer to beating the Bulls .

    Coach Drew said it best:

I wish Joe had the ability of Dwayne Wade or Lebron who are able to attack the basket before the opposing defense sets and sometimes finish with DUNKS or GETTING TO THE FT LINE. However, Joe rarely dunks or finishes with authority. Kobe did that in his prime. Jordan did that in his prime. Nique did that in his prime.

Joe gets trapped too often(on one side of the court) and lacks the speed and athleticism to consistently beat double-teams. On top of that, his decison-making is too slow.

Jeff Teague is better at breaking defenses down and Joe Jonson shouldn't be allowed to hold on the basketball as if he is the POINT GUARD.

Jeff Teague isn't Derrick Rose, but he has the ability to have a similar impact and bring something to the table that Bibby, Hinrich and Joe haven't been able to do.

SPEED DOESN'T GO INTO A SLUMP.

Should more plays go to Teague so he can create for himself, and having another athletic wing player (Who can finish at the rim) such as Damien Wilkins may change the Hawks profile...

I wish the 6'9 Marvin would be able to fill that void as the "athletic wing", but its not going to happen...

All Teagues been doing anyway is creating for himself hes not a PG hes a SG in a Pg's body if anything this series has proved that . Not that there is anything wrong with that but please stop saying give him the ball so someone else can get more shots because thats not happening

  5. Please, lets be real here with this Marvin scapegoating. Collins has never been even a rebounder at Marvin's level for a 7footer no less and is therefore not going to develop rebounding instincts and acumen all of a sudden at his age so that is a nonfactor in this argument. Zaza is the only bench big worth a damn on the team and is averaging more fouls than rebounds which is what is limiting his minutes. If you want to complain and say that the rebounding difference is entirely on the head of the guy who is playing not even 24 minutes a game then that's on you but that won't change the fact that we are running a 3guard lineup the rest of the way in games. Grasp at whatever straws though.

again you still dont get it .

I said nothing about REBOUNDING I said physicality stumbling bumbling idiot Marvin doesnt give us that . We have no one in that frontline willing to throw there weight round in any form or hammer someone when they cone down the lane . We have no presence at all it aint about individual numbers numbers just as it wasnt about numbers in the orlando series.

But in that Orlando series we either won the rebounding edge or was within a few rebounds of it in nearly every game.

We are getting clobbered because there is no physicality at all and Marvin no matter how much you are trying to talk him up is bring nothing at all and should be never start again for this team again .

But physicality aint always about the laying on of the hands though its about the instilling the belief that you will. The Bulls dont buy for one second that Marvin,Al,or Josh will take a hard foul and they play like it . I guarantee you that they know that Collins or Zaza will deliver one .

This team is doing the same thing to Rose that they used to do to Dwight sit around and marvel at his greatness instead of making sure they hammer him everytime they had to foul. If you watch Rose hes smiling on every little drive into the lane because hes not being touched at all.

Once you give them something to think about well they wont be as quick to the ball and Rose wont be so carefree on his drives .

  6. And I've watched every second that Collins has been on the floor and can tell you that other than some fluke jumpers in game 1 he has been useless. His size is useless on the boards because A) he's not mobile enough to even put a body on a guy to boxout B) not agile enough or long enough to get off the floor when a rebound is in his vicinity. Guys are literally going around him or jumping over him and he can't rotate out etc. etc. etc. That's been the number one reason for his lack of minutes now and all season and it's not going to change because he's just a poor matchup against any team that features a mobile frontcourt. Height simply does not equal s*** against the Bulls, they were number 1 all season and just beat a team that sported 7'2" Hibbert to go along with Hansbrough in their frontcourt. People are just trying to hang on to a fallacy because they all have this "in a perfect world, big=rebounds" mentality but at the end of the day our C's just aren't talented enough or our Forwards active enough to really make a dent in a team that has made outhustling and out-techniquing teams their bread and butter all year.

It aint about that at all its about physicality and whether you like it or not we are a more physical team with Collins or Zaza in there .

If the choice is Marvin or Collins/Zaza at this point Im choosing the journeyman centers ever time

  7. The fact that its even come to this is completely asinine. We shouldn't even be talking about this.

    lol

Hey you there PF dont shoot those long threes and could you maybe grab a rebound because i dont know if they told you but its the second rd of the playoffs and we are playing the team with best record.

sometimes all you can do is grab a bottle and sit back and just shake your head

  8. start Zaza or Collins like I said a week ago .

The Marvin,Al,Josh frontline should never start for this team again

This team cannot handle the "maybe" that comes with starting both Marvin AND Josh.

    Go big !! Stay big

Did anyone not notice how in game one when Zaza and Collins came into the game how suddenly there were bodies hitting the floor all over the place ? enough to make you even ask what are they doing ? but you need that because it gives the opponents pause.

Zaza or Collins will always put a body on Noah and will get just as crazy as Noah gets this allows for Josh and Al to crash the boards against the gimpy Boozer and Deng if JJ drops down and help we are golden.

If you leave Al at center Josh will play Noah and they both end up being overpowered and outhustled by Noah.

I would be really fast with the hook tonight if if Thibs can sit Rose for 7-8 minutes in game one we can sit Josh

  9. But it's just so damn simple to stop taking jumpers. That's all he has to do to become a much more effective player. He doesn't even have to replace those jumpers with good shots, just don't shoot at all and the Hawks will be better off by default. I have to believe common sense will prevail eventually.

Im starting to believe that he shoots those jumpshots out of spite .

  10. You pick your poison though... They're giving Rose all the jumpers he wants because he's most deadly at penetration. Him breaking down the defense is going to open up the game for anyone else on the floor - not that they need that because dude is unreal at finishing. That sh!t last night where he just stopped under the rim... i mean, that was ridiculous. He just exploded into the lane and then stopped on a dime, turned and laid it in...like a ballet dancer.

I say let him shoot just like you let Dwight dunk. Don't let him break down the defense, force help, and get everyone else involved.

Yeah Derrick Rose didnt beat us I think we cl;early know now that the Bulls are not even a good offensive team .

NOAH is who beat us if we had one big who matched his energy and effort level in the paint we wouldve won the game

    19 and 14 for Noah

19 and 21 for Josh and Al combined

They have basically laid down the challenge that they dont believe that Marvin,Al,and josh can beat them

and when its 58-39 on the boards you Thibs is in the lockerroom saying that our frontline is as soft as they come .

and when I was saying that Marvin should never start again for this team last weekend they thought I was overreacting ? That we shouldve stayed with the big lineup . ?

where Josh plays has no bearing on whether he shoots threes or not Josh shoots them because he wants to.

Thats why I wanted at least Zaza to start because it allows us to put a body on Noah at all times and opens the door for Josh and AL to crash the glass . I know that with Zaza and even Collins that when the are in the game bodies are gonna hit the floor.

Im not worried just like I wasnt worried against Orlando but some things are so obvious you have to wonder what is going on .

  11. Don't know if anyone noticed, but Josh shot that really bad three in the first quarter in the corner and Al threw his hands up and was like WTF. That was a game changing possession right there, as Chicago came back and scored and built up momentum. LIke MoBetta said, the nuthuggers will be in here soon that don't understand basketball. So sick of Josh Sh!tz.

I recall that too because I think we all had the same reaction as Al

They are gonna do there best to make sure that our guards dont beat them Crawford,Joe and Teague have kept us in it but our bigs have to seriously step up .

  12. starting frontcourt is 2-16 with 4 minutes left til the half

josh had not made a shot tonight why not just pass it to teague in the corner ?

too many plays in the first half that are not being finished...how many layups are we gonna miss ? how many rebounds are we gonna mishandle ?

  13. Crawford scored 22 points, and that may happen again, but it's hard to imagine him and Johnson combining for 56 with only one basket inside five feet between them -- and even that one was a difficult bank shot from a sharp angle
    .

I may not have the sharpest eye but I couldve sworn JJ and jamal made more than one shot from within 5 ft ? jamal is averaging 20 ppg for the PLAYOFFS and both JJ and jamal are stroking it from three 48% and 46% respectively for the PLAYOFFS.

One other thing jamal and JJ were never this aggressive at any time for longer than maybe a game or so during th regular season . They are locked in playoff mode and the analysts really need to stop trying to gauge them based on regular seasons stats .

If any of them took the time to actually watch the game instead of looking at the box score they could easily see the difference

  14. Teague WAS Hinrich tonight. If he continues this, we have a legit shot at taking this series.

Yep he basically did what Kirk did last series a solid all around effort from him . If he can do this consistently he will win me over.

  15. I feel as though you really don't understand the question or just don't have an answer for it. We don't need fouls from our bench I'm asking you point blank who will produce for our frontcourt off the bench if Zaza starts?

Id use Marvin against Brewer or Korver depending on how they wanted to play it and against Deng in the post when Deng stays with the second unit '

As for a big I would go with Collins depending on who they used off the bench Asik or Thomas

  16. That doesn't answer my question about the bench. Al, Smoove, Marvin and even Joe from the last series have proven that they can rebound, who amongst JaCo, Hilton, Powell and Etan are you willing to attach your confidence in though off the bench? It's very simple, we lack quality depth and we are not about to take what little quality we have and throw it out in the starting lineup. If Kirk was healthy then you can make the argument for JaCo starting but as is you are not going to have Teague and him playing together and you are definitely going to have to have a better offensive lineup balancing the presence of just one of them.

We are only 8 deep so it doesnt matter but one thing I do know that if this team cant afford to get off to its usual slow start with the "regular front line" . If you get down to this team well then having a few extra fouls wont mean a thing

  17. You know for damn sure Zaza was never going to start for us given our bench depth. Starting him supposes far more "Ifs" about the bench than someone who has at least managed to be an average starter on previously successful Eastern Conference teams.

I know for sure that when a shot goes up Zaza will be in the paint and I cant say that about anyone else on our frontline considering the way weve been pounded by this team on the glass adding marvin to the lineup plays right into there hands
