Well, I'm not going to listen to anyone trying to tell me how to post, but I need to give you guys a dose of realism.

Here it is: There is no LeBron James or Kevin Durant level prospect available in this draft.  Once you realize that, then things may soak in a little better for you.

Doesn’t have to be a lebron in this draft. D wade was in the same draft as lebron and won a title before him and Bron didn’t win one until he went and teamed up with him...so who cares if there’s not a “lebron or Durant” in this group

  2. Dukes defense got better bc they went strictly to a zone which had been working for them thru the season when they decided to use it but for some reason coach kept switching it up. They went zone and it’s worked. They even started pressing...actually watch the games before you try and talk about what’s going on

I'd rather have Draymond Green than Andrew Wiggins.

It really hurts the pro tanking crowd when you point out the fact that the three best players who have been drafted since 2010 were taken with the 15th pick (Kawhi Leonard), 30th pick (Jimmy Butler), and 35th pick (Draymond Green).

    Wow...you really believe this?

  4. I couldn’t care less about that honestly...means nothing once he’s in the league. BUT something I do care about is Butler getting hurt. I hate it for him as I would never wish injury on anyone but how far do you all think they drop in the standings? Bc we were looking at a pick in the 20s before....could they fall enough with him out to give us a pick in the teens (somewhere between like 17-19) maybe

A stretched out John Collins at his worst. Chris Bosh at his best.

I think he’s a tick better than Bosh. The athleticism is off the charts. Did you see the video of him doing the 360 between his legs in warmups...looked like he wasn’t even trying lol. And yes I know Bosh was a 20 & 10 guy before going to Miami I just think his impact could be a lil more on his teams because of his activity level. That type of stuff is contagious

JMO, but he's more of an 8-10 guy in the draft.

He's underrated because he plays with Bagley Jr. I still think he's been better all around even though he is not the more talented player. The games don't come all in scoring, boarding, and being athletic as hell.

If I did a mock Bagley Jr would be higher than Carter Jr, buuuuuuuuttttt, I'd be very lukewarm at drafting him. Not mad but not thinking "woo hoo!" at all. I've made it clear but my guys are Ayton and Doncic in the top 3-4.

If you get Bagley Jr, you're counting on your developmental system being able to mold him because he is very bad defensively right now and is lost on offense if it's not an offensive set.

Just asking but how many full duke games have you watched?

  7. Carter is not our best player, he’s a great player but he’s not as good as Bagley. Bagley has a great first step, good quickness, hustle is other worldly and I don’t care what anybody says hard work and hustle is a talent, he’s a good athlete, has a nose for the ball when it comes to rebounding, has good from shooting the ball, has good footwork, is improving on the defensive end of the floor, good passer out of the high post. He hasn’t slowed down in conference play we are just becoming more balanced so his shot attempts have gone down, others guys are stepping up and finding their game

I’m not calling him steph 2.0 and I don’t want him with our first pick. It’s just that he’s not playing that bad.

Not saying you specifically called him that but it’s being tossed around. And I’m not saying he’s playing terribly I’m simply saying I don’t want us to pick him for the reasons I pointed out. Not that he’s a bad player but I don’t believe he’s what we need AT ALL.

His usage is stupid high, but that doesn’t mean he’s inefficient. He has been the last few games, but he still is 3rd in PER. Bagley and Ayton are 4th and 5th.

He had been the last few games bc teams started pressuring him more and he’s been inefficient bc of it. Defenses will be much tougher in the league and I’m not confident in this Steph 2.0 thing. Steph and his impact are extremely rare. Just my opinion but I’m not interested...at all. Don’t want him.

  10. Don’t want Trae at all. Horrible decision maker, can’t deal with pressure from defenses, usage right is dumb high so it inflated his stats, shoots crazy shots all night and just gets away with it bc the coach has just given him the greenest light ever, doesn’t play defense, I’m good. Keep him away from my team

I don't feel nearly as bad about the Georgia loss. It still sucks a whole lot, but it was a much closer game and Bama was pretty much better across the board. The main frustrations were not wrapping up the Bama freshman (not gonna try his name) on that 3rd down and then losing another damn OT coin toss. That's 3 in a row in these massive games. Next season might be a step back with so much veteran talent leaving, but Kirby's recruiting classes are insane.

Definitely won’t be a step back. Offensive line will be a lot better across the board. Dline is brining everybody back except Atkins while bringing in some crazy talent. Secondary will be much more talented but not as experienced but I think the effectiveness of the line will help them anyway. Now losing Roquan will hurt absolutely but the collective talent on defense will make up for that. And while carter and Bellamy are great players I truly feel like Walker will have a better season than anyone do them did next year. And the depth that we have to play on the other side will be more than enough. Anderson, Cox, Ojulari, Beal...they will be fine. And the receivers and TEs are mostly coming back while again adding better talent. Chubb and Michel will be missed but Swift, Zeus, Cook, Holyfield etc will definitely have the talent to make up for that and the line being better and having a more experienced qb will make it easier for them.

Most great NBA players were pretty good right away. LeBron, Chris Paul, KD, all showed signs of being great early on. I really cant think of any generation talent that was terrible their first couple years.

Terrible no, but some took time like Kobe, TMac etc

OK.  Tell me what that "more" to his game is.

Has a great first step, is a good passer out of the high post, has decent skills on the block, good handle for a guy his size, jump shot looks good but could be improved with work (the mechanics are there tho), moves his feet well on defense allowing him to defend multiple positions, great understanding of the game and pace, extremely unselfish....add all of that to an extremely athletic, ridiculously active 6’11 frame and you’ve got a really good player with the potential to be great
