    GO FALCONS!!!!

ps @jy23 I'm ready for that avatar change if you want to make it a Falcons for support, even better! Lol.

@Spud2Nique see man now you've ruined it for me lol. You being so supportive and all I can't be mean like I wanted to lmao. I'm about to pm you in just a min....and welcome to the family my brother

  2. I really don't care who we play at this point...I think they can beat anybody. I would love to put Dallas out tho and shut up all their annoying fans. I'm actually in Milwaukee today and had on all my Falcons gear all day. Early in the day before the game started all I wasn't hearing was how we were gonna lose and Matt Ryan is trash in the playoffs blah blah blah....after the game all I heard was "damn, I really don't wanna play yall". Lol keep proving everybody wrong boys...including the op of this thread lmao

Yeah, we had the clock on our side so the stats don't tell it all but then again an onside kick can always throw a wrench in there.

It's a bitter sweet feeling. The offense scores so fast and so often and I love it...but then on the flip side the defense is on the field so much that it gives the false impression that they're just not any good when people get numbers against them. Honestly tho for the most part they play pretty well. Given another offseason of additions and having the youngins just grow naturally I think we will be nasty next year

Drew Brees eats no matter who he plays, he's one of the greatest ever. I've already explained how inexperienced the defense is. Throw in our nickel back being a rookie as well, forgot about him earlier. We've got the players we need for the most part, we're missing maybe 2 pieces. Either y'all want instant gratification or you just can't seem to spot talent when you see it. This is a building process, we have young guys learning on the fly. It's coming together, they will get better as the season goes on but until then they'll just ride with the offense.

Jones is going to make mistakes and take bad angles, same for Campbell. Neal is going to get beat in coverage and miss some tackles, Collins when he gets back is going to give up some plays, Vic and Grady are just going to have to keep pushing and keep working....but even with all that they're going to flash and show you what they're capable of. Let Tru keep locking up everybody's number one option (did anybody see cooks last night?)...let Freeney keep bringing the pressure off the edge while he teaches Vic....I ain't worried. We good

I said this after the first saints game...I feel like a genius right now lol. The gave 18ppg after the bye.if they hadn't went so conservative against NO in the second half it would've been even better. These boys are clicking at the right time.

  5. We pulled off the 2 seed against the toughest schedule in football. We really had a legit shot at the one seed if there weren't so many crazy things that happened along the way. The KC game, the blatant hold in SEA, the fluke against SD. But all in all great season. @JayBirdHawk how about that pass rush lol. And @Spud2Nique don't worry it's coming....I just want to see how everything plays out first

  7. Ryan has been lights out this year, best qb in the league from start to finish. They'll try and find a way to give it to Brady tho, we all know this.

As far as hooper goes, I remember thinking to myself early on that he reminded me of Eifert. Now I don't know if he'll have his type of production but I believe their talent levels are similar. Similar skill sets as well. Not crazy fast or anything just good route runners with good hands that have enough athleticism and size to dominate most defenders.

  8. Yeah coach kept saying that Hoopers injury wasn't serious and that he could be back any day. I think he was actually doing ladders on the sideline at the last practice. They're just being cautious I believe. Right thing to do at this time of the year.

@jy23 I'm thoroughly frightened now. You are oh so close. You just need 1 win and you have 2 games to do it. Fun bet, specially if it goes down to the final week.

Question...do you think y'all are better without megatron or is it just one of those things where everything is clicking for you all this year inspite of him not being there?

  10. This offense is absolutely ridiculous. No Julio and they score 40 in back to back games lol. Free and Teco looked like they were having a competition with each other all day....big play by one followed by a big play from the other. Beautiful thing when they're running like that. Beasley with another one and we had a Hageman sighting. Great game Falcons

Things can always change, but for now it's great how narrowed down our weaknesses have become. Offensively it's really only Chester. He's a huge negative that won't be around next season. We drafted Schweizter who may be ready to take over or we could acquire someone else. Other than that we need to bring Gabriel back and figure out what we're going to do at TE with Tamme and Toilolo being UFAs.

Defensively we have so much youth across the board. We look set at CB and SS. I'm not a fan of Allen as a starter, though. We found our Kam Chancellor and now we need our Earl Thomas (as close as we can get). Mostly we need to keep bolstering our front 7. We've added some great pieces there in the last two seasons, but we need more.

Of course I'm still hoping we get hot and take it all the way this season.

Spot on. Chester will be replaced hopefully by Wes like you said. We need a replacement for Allen and a stud DT to line up next to Grady. After that everything else is a luxury. We could another pass rusher on the outside but I feel like the other needs are more pressing at the moment.

Just curious about Clayborn's contract. Knowing that next season is on it but is it guaranteed? Can only remember Falcoholic mentioned a lot of performance based incentives being involved. He's good for two or three QB pressures every game and a sack here and there when healthy.

I never saw anything about the guarantees anywhere I just know that in most cases on a two year deal it's an easy out for the team on that second year....doubt they get rid of him tho because he's cheap an the production has been there

  13. Clay should be back before the season is over as well and he was having a good year before he went down. Vic on one side with clay on the other and Freeney sprinkled in will be a good rotation to end the year with. Can't wait to see how they add to this in the offseason

  14. To put up 42 points without Julio and Sanu is impressive as hell regardless of the opponent. I actually hope they rest Julio again against San Fran bc turf toe can be a real nuisance and I don't want that thing lingering around for the playoffs. Get Julio as healthy as possible for the stretch run against Carolina and NO.

  15. @Spud2Nique I'm with you on wanting to not play the giants lol. I think we're better than them it's just Eli has a way of making things happen in the playoffs. I would love to see a matchup between us in the playoffs, y'all have surprised a lot of people this year.

@Thomas I was speaking about that speed at the beginning of the year. I saw what they could be early on even tho they're still not there. There is talent on that side of the ball definitely. Debo should end up being defensive rookie of the year. And I really don't know what else to say about Vic. We were debating at the beginning of the season about him being to small and being in a bad position and all kinds of crap, dude looks like an all pro right now. He is absolutely amazing. Get a stud do to put beside Grady and it could be nasty next year.
