My eyes!
I think I got the winner of the worst Trae trades possible. This one features the site favorite PeliCan'ts.
Dude on bleacher report posited a 'Trae for McCollum, Daniels, and a pick' deal.
And wondered if that'd be enough for Atlanta.
It's gonna be a long summer, baybee.
It would be awfully nice if the move to squash this kind of nonsense happens sooner than later. The agenda driven devaluing of Trae is nauseating.

Who is going to be the Salary Dump this offseason?
My guess is Clint.

Trae voted 3rd most overrated player in the NBA.
I wonder if these things are pushed to bring down potential value...
It absolutely is.

You guys still trying to make murray and trae working is one of the funniest things ever. all the information is right in front of you on how that pairing doesn't work yet people still saying keep them because they don't understand what they gave up for murray doesn't matter anymore. It is the worst two man lineup on the team. They have a better win percentage and better net rating when one sits. Murray is gone
!!!
I agree that the pairing doesn't work and the likely outcome this offseason is one is traded. It will likely be Murray as that is what they've already tried to do. Murray absolutely increased his value after the deadline for everyone to see. So, hopefully the Hawks don't get anymore spam sammich offers.

Trae clearly wasn't ready and it's unfortunate because he was bound to be blamed. I'm disappointed Quin didn't give a little more run to Mo and didn't give any run at all to Kobe. The young guys would benefit from this experience even in a loss. The veterans are who they are at this point.

Hunter is reverting back to his old approach for some reason and it's not working.

On to the next one !!!

Did Quin just punt this game?
Appears so. I'm not feeling the lack of awareness or concentration on some of these plays. That turnover just now was just careless.

Absolutely absurd that he has the chance to do this at 25 years old!

Why did Bogi not pass to a wide open Matthews on the wing, but instead lob it in to Capela who had two defenders on him?

Who threw that ball out of bounds?
Bogi.

Bogi has made some poor decisions the last couple of minutes.

I know Trae wants to play and help his team, but there's no need to rush back. Let that hand get completely healthy. No need to take unnecessary risk with this season. And if he does play again this season, when they lose, the takes are going to be horrendous. But, then again, they already are.

Tough game. Guys were gassed on the second night of a b2b. Jalen has got to learn to finish strong through contact. However, the officiating was DISGUSTING. And we know why. On to the next one !!!

Dejounte Murray refused to make a simple pass while doubled at half court. And turned it over. YOU DON'T HAVE TO MAKE EVERY PLAY! PASS THE BALL!

This is the reward for beating the Celtics twice. These refs are on a mission to give the Hawks an L.

Honestly, I thought Snyder's impact would be felt at the beginning of the season considering he started early. But it's really only lately that we seem to have started turning a corner.
And, for the yokels that wanna tie it to a certain player's absence, I'm referring to a period starting when he was still playing.
I was thinking and hoping the same, but it should have been expected. Realistically, it takes some time to bring about these stylistic changes and especially with core players who have never been coached to play this way. De'Andre and Dejounte are actively looking to shoot threes and not worrying about whether they fall or not. I can't believe it lol. I was convinced they would never commit to playing that way. I'm happy to be wrong and it's been wonderful to see.

Can't say enough how impressive it has been to see Murray and Hunter transition their games over the course of the season. Yes, Quin has pushed them to be three point shooters, but you can see they've bought in and it has added a new dimension to their games and for this team. They keep shooting them even when the shots aren't falling and it's slowly pushing other guys to play the same way. Coaching matters.

This, this, this. Which is why I fear Trae will ask for a trade at some point this offseason. If he does, I won't blame him. He gets all the heat and criticism nationally, while Ressler and company are the real issue with why the team can't win.
