Did Quin just punt this game?
Appears so. I'm not feeling the lack of awareness or concentration on some of these plays. That turnover just now was just careless.

Absolutely absurd that he has the chance to do this at 25 years old!

Why did Bogi not pass to a wide open Matthews on the wing, but instead lob it in to Capela who had two defenders on him?

Who threw that ball out of bounds?
Bogi.

Bogi has made some poor decisions the last couple of minutes.

I know Trae wants to play and help his team, but there's no need to rush back. Let that hand get completely healthy. No need to take unnecessary risk with this season. And if he does play again this season, when they lose, the takes are going to be horrendous. But, then again, they already are.

Tough game. Guys were gassed on the second night of a b2b. Jalen has got to learn to finish strong through contact. However, the officiating was DISGUSTING. And we know why. On to the next one !!!

Dejounte Murray refused to make a simple pass while doubled at half court. And turned it over. YOU DON'T HAVE TO MAKE EVERY PLAY! PASS THE BALL!

This is the reward for beating the Celtics twice. These refs are on a mission to give the Hawks an L.

Honestly, I thought Snyder's impact would be felt at the beginning of the season considering he started early. But it's really only lately that we seem to have started turning a corner.
And, for the yokels that wanna tie it to a certain player's absence, I'm referring to a period starting when he was still playing.
I was thinking and hoping the same, but it should have been expected. Realistically, it takes some time to bring about these stylistic changes and especially with core players who have never been coached to play this way. De'Andre and Dejounte are actively looking to shoot threes and not worrying about whether they fall or not. I can't believe it lol. I was convinced they would never commit to playing that way. I'm happy to be wrong and it's been wonderful to see.

Can't say enough how impressive it has been to see Murray and Hunter transition their games over the course of the season. Yes, Quin has pushed them to be three point shooters, but you can see they've bought in and it has added a new dimension to their games and for this team. They keep shooting them even when the shots aren't falling and it's slowly pushing other guys to play the same way. Coaching matters.

I'm hoping Trae doesn't rush back. For one, he should get completely healthy first. Secondly, at whatever point they lose, be it play-in or playoffs, his return (if he does) is going to be blamed for it and I don't know if I can stomach that stupidity.

No he's not.
He's making plays with the ball and he's making quicker decisions making the defense react to him vs waiting to react to the defense. He has also been consistent for longer stretches. Instead on one ir two good games in 9...he's having real stretches of good games.
He made a pass over the top of the defense in the PnR for a semi-lob to Clint. He didn't have this BQ (before Quin).
Quick, decisive, consistent and playing with a level of toughness.
De'Andre becoming a hunter of his three point shot (pun intended) is something we've never seen. Agreed, he is definitely not the same player. It's good to see and I'm happy for him.

It was a rhythm 3 that was wide ass open. I don't care what the shot clock said. You were only up 1 pt. Man up and take the shot.
I gotta agree here. In a game where you're getting no calls and the Celtics are getting what they want, sometimes you have to take the risk to get the reward. In this case, the reward was preventing the refs from helping Boston get the win.

I only caught the end of the third quarter on. Not the way you want to start a game, but guys showed commitment to the game plan. Bruno seems to get better game by game. I have to say, though it's taken time, Murray and Hunter have shown increased willingness to adjust their shot profiles to the offense Quin wants to run. That's been a big part of the better play. On to the next one !!!
