It's true he goes begging for fouls but I guess I don't see the problem with it. It's the same thing we've seen CP3, Harden, Curry, KD, LBC, etc... do their whole careers. IF the refs are going to call it and give him FTs, then I'm all for it. Bout damn time something went in the Hawks favor anyway. I railed on LBJ for years about whining about calls every time down the floor. I know I'm being a hypocrite on this but I don't care cuz now we got an elite on our squad. Time for him to get the superstar treatment.
Here is a nice take on many players we considered floppers...https://bleacherreport.com/articles/869637-15-worst-floppers-in-nba-history#slide15

Here’s an article arguing for shutting Capela down for the season.

I don’t think there’s any issues with fit offensively with John Collins and capela whatsoever. I’m not sure why that’s even being argued among some posters.
the offense is the easiest part to get working. It’s the defense that we have absolutely no clue about.
If capela does his part defensively as expected will this really improve Collins defense as a 4???....that’s what in my opinion Schlenk and staff will be mostly focused on. This is Collins chance to bring the defense big time! ....good signs that he’s already an Slightly improved defender this season so he’s already gotten better without capela being on the floor so I’m feeling somewhat confident that JC is going to show us some defense we haven’t seen from him....but We already know he’s damn good offensively, him and capela WILL work offensively don’t worry about that.
when originally making this post ....and I will say it again if Collins doesn’t show great improvement defensively with capela on the floor (which I believe he will).....despite his stellar offensive numbers I can’t see Schlenk giving him a contract that he’s going to be expecting in 2021. Which will result to both sides unable to come to terms reports. Collins clock is ticking to show what he’s all about defensively. This is why I really want to see Capela playing this year for a good stretch of games. This should give us a worst-case baseline leaving the summer to tweak and train for next year. That will give us a great glimpse of evaluation (end of this season+early next season) for TS to decide on long-term fit.

Hilarious. I think it was the correct call to begin with, but I'm not sure how anyone could honestly want a different result in that situation except for salty Mavs fans. It would a total sham to bail the Mavs out in that situation.
They're also upset over the foul on Brunson. They could have a point there. The only replay I saw last night did look sketchy. Dedmon didn't seem to make a play on the ball.
I also think Cuban wants the rim looked at from when Cam slammed so hard on the stolen pass. He thinks Cam should be arrested for destruction of property

Yea, if Beal is so beloved why did he get obliterated by Trae in both the fan and media vote?
My point exactly!

Trae is getting plenty of love, but the squawk only knows one thing, perpetually playing the victim card, and the no-respect card.
While Trae certainly gets some love, there are very few posts on twitter, YouTube or B/R where a positive statement about Trae is not jumped on by some Traeters with comments parroting untrue statements such as "Worst Defender in the NBA," "empty stats," and perpetual loser. Fortunately, there are statistical arguments against all of these arguments. That doesn't mean Trae is not a horrific defender or on a losing team:) But there cannot be a positive post on Trae right now without detractors diving in. Highly frustrating. If we win a lot next year and Trae continues to perform in the 25/10/4 window with 1.35+pps, those detractors will be gone in a year. Can't wait!

Don't get me wrong. I like the guy as a player. I just don't get how/why he's viewed more favorably. By all rights, he should be viewed more harshly than our guy.
Well to be fair, this year's all-star weekend kind of shows another view on the different takes on Beal and IceTrae...Trae (criticized often and harshly) was #1 Fan Vote, #2 Media Vote, and #3 Player Vote. Hardly a bad showing. Where was Mr. Beal? Need I remind us about his purse-swinging, baby-having, her-man-protecting, Trae-hating girlfriend...Kamiah Adams! So as much hate as we feel Trae gets, at least we can rest in the fact that he was an All-Star Starter in 2020!!!

I really like Hunter's strength. He does not get moved off the block on rebounds very easily.
