Well Luka's out so all of the talk above is now meaningless (listed as right ankle soreness, but probably load management for him and Kristaps because they believe they can beat the Hawks without them).
Honestly that sucks. I was looking forward to seeing how he and Trae did, now I won't get the chance and I'm not sure I'll watch, plus Dallas is so good at sharing the ball without Luka and Kristaps.
He’s missed more than 20% of the games this year.

I really hate to say this, but Cam will end up on the bench with 2 fouls in the 1st quarter if he's on Luka. I'm calling it now. There's no way the refs are going to let Cam hound Doncic like he's capable of doing. They're going to set the tone early. I honestly hope I'm wrong and would love to see that match-up myself, but the pessimist in me already knows how that's going to go.
I hate that we are without Hunter.

Here is a little crazy NBA karma for Dallas and ATL

Trae does need to make better decisions with the basketball. But he's also only 21, so...
For sure...he is also number one in the NBA this season on assists per pass, second in total assists (and assists per game), and has reduced his TO% by 1% this season. That number should begin to drop as our team gels together more and more. The funny thing is that Harden has 83 fewer assists than Trae and only 20 fewer turnovers...hmmmm. And these assists are being generated on the worst 3pt% shooting team in the NBA and one of the worst shooting teams on 2pt.
For a little reference on the TO% which is the best measure of Trae's team impact he is not at the top (although he is in the Top 20). https://www.basketball-reference.com/leagues/NBA_2020_advanced.html#advanced_stats::17 Note some players worse than Trae in TOs...Ja Morant, Ricky Rubio, Ben Simmons, Lonzo Ball, Andre Drummond, and not too far behind...Lebron.

Got me over here stewing.
Basically said, Trae's not a good player because of his defense and he's the main reason the Hawks are 16-41. I could tell Kamala was getting pissed. The dude couldn't even admit Trae had a great game last night. The bias with these mfers is driving me insane.
We all know Trae needs to work on his defense. He plays better in fourth quaters when we are in games.
These guys are out of touch with reality and deeply embracing their identity as Traeters.
They must not be looking at some of the stats out there, watching the games, or are so hunkered down in their preconceptions against Trae they can’t see straight. The future will suck for them. Until then, we should begin to use their logic and point out how Ray Allen kept the Bucks out of the playoffs from 2001-2004. There are dozens of these situations where great players are on teams that are not at the same level yet. Fortunately for us (unfortunately for them) Trae is barely 21 and just getting revved up.

How many of those are Wilt? Didn't he average 50 one year?
Wilt is all over the chart. Honestly I was having trouble exporting the data into one excel file to sort
I will find some time later today to see how many he is on.

The positive points are just amazing. This kid is 21 years old.
And as I like to tell my Dallas friends...only 5 months older than the 20 year old from Europe...

So sorry, Your Guy isn't popular enough, Spo. I suppose some fans aren't wild about the candle scent of burnt bridges.
"It's a joke that he's not," he said. Well, that was one heck of a punchline tonight!

Check out the video I posted from Spoelstra...it makes you realize how powerful those out of rhythm 3s are on the defense.

Official Game Thread: Mavericks at Hawks
in Homecourt

With all the MAV fans saying that this was a win for them since they didn't really have their two best players (and that most teams don't play Atlanta hard), my head will explode...The reality is we are making progress, pure and simple!!! Cam's game is maturing by the week!!! I really hope Hunter is okay...I think I saw it was personal reasons. Anyone know what the situation is?
