  1. A lotta times Pete zigs when you think he'll zag, and I'd hate for you to go through life ball-less.
  2. If the Heat wanted cap room, they'd just let let Mournings contract out. If they're trying to rebuild, they'd trade for younger players, or lottery picks. This trade doesn't help them at all.
  3. I don't think we did too well. I think there were only two picks where we predicted correctly. I think I was maybe 5 or 6 spots off picking Dalembert. It was a lot of fun though, and I'd love to take part this year.
  4. Still the same situation. Detroit sends it whenever they want to up until 2004(?). I think next season it's pretty much a lock that we'll get it because Detroit's going to get Memphis' pick and probably wouldn't want two (unless they have a terrible season), since they're trying to get cap space.
  5. Mourning's contract is very cap friendly since they don't have to give him an extention. If I'm Miami, I'd rather have the 20 mil cap room than Wahad & Van Exel, And I'd rather unload Grant's hefty contract than Eddie Jones'. Again, I like the trade for us and for Dallas, but I think that if Miami does decide to move Mourning, they will get a young star somewhere in the package. I think in this trade, they would at the very least insist on getting Raef in return.
  6. OK... So you're saying. Atlanta trades: Theo, Toni, Vaughn for Lafrentz E. Jones Dallas trades: Lafrentz, Van Ex, Wahad for Toni, Vaughn, Zo. Miami trades: Mourning for NVE, Wahad, Theo , and 2 (future?) 1sts Pretty interesting. A quick question...Who do the picks come from, and when? It makes sense for us and Dallas, but not Miami imo. They loose Mournings relatively cap friendly contract, and take back a couple of terrible contracts in Nick & Wahad. I don't see how any of the two picks could be lottery, so they don't really get help for the future. They loose Jones, keep Grant, and would be dependent on Nick & whatever they get with their lotto pick for all of their offense. I'd take it in a heartbeat for us, and I could see Dallas going for it, but Miami...I just don't see it.
  7. I wouldn't put too much stock in anything from Thompson's site. He doesn't follow the Hawks and was dead wrong a couple of times last season on who was even in the Hawks lineup. (He swore up and down that Henderson would start at 4 with SAR at 3).
