He'll look good for the Pistons or whoever. Not our concern.
With the way our season is going...

They shouldn't. That part is true. That doesn't mean they won't.
I'm going to be real with you, any GM who would make that trade is a dumbass. You're going to be locking up ~$102 million per season into 3 players leaving you with a little avenue to improve the roster around them. Harris isn't that guy to justify doing that.

Hands were somewhat tied. Hawks didn't have as much leverage as I thought. Schlenk is probably thinking that improving the locker room mood can help turn the team around in the short term.

Honestly, taking an objective look at this deal (assuming that this is the only major move made at the deadline), it clearly gives more opportunity to Dre, Kevin, and Bogi to step up and produce more.
Too many cooks in the kitchen may have been a hinderance to some of our guys, and at least this move clears up more opportunity for guys on the team. Call it addition by subtraction (although I wish we could’ve at least gotten a top-10 protected pick).

Apparently Cam asked for a trade to a team that would give him an increased role.

One thing that is glaringly obvious is that you need someone besides Trae that can run the show when Trae doesn't have it that night. It would also help if guys could've made their shots as well.

OO isn't the answer at center either. He's only good for smaller lineups at center. When he faces real centers he is struggling.
I'll cut him some more slack. He's only 8 games into his second and is still making rookie mistakes. I'm confident he'll overcome it.

That "Let's go Heat" chant at the end was embarrassing. Smh.

Damn Herro got that ball?

Heat play hard no matter who is on the floor.

I didn't know we were playing the Heat AND the refs tonight.

This is the part of the game that scares me, when Trae sits.

Hawks playing... defense!?!?

I need TLC to not let Duncan Robinson breathe tonight. Wherever Duncan goes, TLC goes.

One thing I'll say is that I really envy the Miami Heat's scouting department. They've been able to find diamonds in the rough in 2nd round picks and undrafted free agents like Max Strus, Gabe Vincent, Duncan Robinson, Omer Yurtseven, Caleb Martin, etc. Excluding Duncan Robinson's contract, all of their contracts combined is less than ~$5 million.

You can tell that this was directly from Daryl Morey. Star or bust.

This is some aggravating shit right here!….Schlenk need to put his foot down and demand Collins is featured in more offensive plays to give him more scoring options.
JC has earned the 2nd best player title on the team as it currently stands and he has improved even more efficiently and on defense…..give the man his damn shots! It may actually help us if he’s featured like the 2nd scorer.
I agree. Nate should expand the play book to feature Collins more. And I'm not just talking about more post ups for John.

Anyone who thinks we are getting Simmons by trading Bogi and/or Gallo is kidding themselves.
I wish it were the case, but Morey is dead set on getting another star to pair with Embiid.

Where is this minor move stuff coming from ?
Just speculating since the only top guy available is Ben Simmons, and Daryl Morey doesn't seem to be budging from his asking price.

A straight up trade of Green and Hill puts us into luxury tax, can't see us going over for Green.
We can offer Lou but then I think that puts Denver into LT or very close to it.
Even if we were to trade for him, those aren't realistic trades for Denver. Jeff Green has played a really important role for Denver ever since MPJ went down. His value is much higher than that of Lou Williams or Solomon Hill.

If we're going to make a minor trade this deadline, I'd want to see Travis go out and try to get a better PNR backup PG. Delon is better as an off ball guard with us. Our offense stagnates when he's running the show.

The answer is no. He really needs to improve his shot creation ability. Too many times he gets pushed out of position when he gets touches in the post, and he really doesn't have any off the dribble shot creation ability yet. I think if he gets better in one of those 2 areas, he can raise the ceiling of this team.

Nothing because that's one less guy in his way.
