You said this before. It’s the 2nd time you’re saying it. @kg01 I read his stuff 😆..

I agree. I’m banking on us getting a top 3 so Adam Silver can fill the “Hawks quota luck”…

    :airquote:

I'm thinking to fulfill the irony bucket for all squawkers this is going to be certain. Never has there been a better lottery for Adam to dump off to us peons.

Ingram and the Pels will be the 2024 version of Siakam/Raptors.

We will get about 500 pages deep just to see a deal go down with another random team.

    Save yourself the stress.

Yet somehow I keep refreshing these pages all the way through it…

It all depends on who the market players are.. with Siakam, the market was us Indy and Magic..

    What’s the market for Ingram.

    0 interest in Durant

    we need a two,way player …

I want us to focus on Mikel Bridges or Devin Vessel

It would be a huge win off-season getting Marcus Smart and Mikal Bridges… talk about complete turnaround

Which teams might have an interest in Capela's $22.2 million expiring contract for next season? They be looking to reduce payroll the following year. A team that can send us back a useful player plus an asset (depending on the player) with similar salary but on a longer deal?

    EXAMPLES:

Bulls - Vucevic (2yrs at $21 and $20 mil). [I think a trade like this would be Vuc into the JC TPE, then create a new $22 mil TPE from the CC trade]

Grizzlies - Marcus Smart (2yrs at $19 and $21 mil). I think they need a center, but I'm not sure how his season was with them.

Any others you can think of?

Marcus Smart would be a huge win

What is the rationale behind limiting the teams with access?  Seems like any team could trade into the top 10 and would need that info to assess whether to make such a deal.

My guess is they are trying to protect certain markets to get the best possible odds to keep their pick.

I agree with all that except I'd hang on to Bogi unless we get a lot back and honestly i'd hang on to OO unless we get a lot back.  I think he can be a good starter next to JJ which we didn't get to see much of.

I'd trade Murray though.  I just don't see the point of Murray especially when you got Kobe waiting in the wings.

I’m ok with that too.. it better be for a good reason to hang on those guys.

Bogi might be the most valuable trade chip of all of them though. Smh

JJ Trae and DJ are the best players we have and worth holding onto.. obviously DJ is the valuable one in trades. I would not trade Trae.

  7. All this vague hypothetical talk and I just want to start seeing this roster reconstructed..

I really hope those bozos in the front office are working on it.

    here are the facts:

    1. Squawkers debating salary is useless

    2. we suck at defense

    3. Trae will stay if we want him to.

    4. DJ will stay if we want him.

we need some serious roster moves.

i hope these players are gone soon..

Dre Capela Bey OO Bogi Meth Bogi

Don't overpay for talent that is replaceable.  The John Collins and DeAndre Hunter extensions would have never happened under a guy like AA.

Ain't this the truth... So many GM's are afraid of letting these guys walk and get baited into overpaying.

AA knows how to GM.. can he be the GM of Falcons, Braves, and Hawks at the same time

There have been a bunch of legit concerns he will need to overcome mentioned but don't seem to get a reaction.  The amount of time he spends injured is definitely one of them.  Again, my expectation for him this year was that he would be more productive than ever and seize the starting job.  Snyder decided he wasn't the man for it during the 2023-24 season and when it looked like he might make a case for it while CC was injured OO again got hurt and missed the rest of the season.  Availability is a very important ability and our frontcourt unfortunately has a track record for repeated and significant injuries (OO, Hunter, and JJ in particular).

Plain and simple.. OO should be on the block if a good trade is presented. He is not untouchable.

I think him and Bam are miles away in how they play the game.

Moving away from an agent to his father would send the signal to me that he isn't all that worried about it right now.  If I'm trying to read tea leaves accepting that, a move to his father could mean he isn't focused on renegotiations right now or that he is very comfortable that he has the leverage to get what he wants.

This is my read on it. Also, there is a more than slight chance that Trae is unhappy with how his name is used by the traditional Rich Paul rumor mill spin cycle.

Pretty sure I would be pissed if my name kept getting tossed around during the season when I’m trying to play basketball.

Yeah.  Let’s go out and get us a 7-foot slug just because he’s big.  Let’s trade our athletic modern big because he’s not 7-foot tall.

lol. KB, how many of these centers would you choose to give starting minutes over OO:

There are so many better centers right now:
