  1. Anyone looking for tickets to the Hawks vs. Bobcats game on the 28th - check out ScoreBig. They've got 1-, 2-, 3-star seats, plus Club seats still available. I got 2 tickets (1-star seats) for $27 each. While it's not a site for all parties going to an event (many aren't the biggest fan of the fact that you can't choose your exact seat location, just a general area), it's certainly the Priceline of live-events - you get to say what you want to pay, and save between 10-60% off retail every time.
  2. I'd say the chances of Smith re-signing with the Hawks are about 50/50 with him participating in a sign-and-trade to get shipped out of town. He can fit in with the team's plans, but at the same time the haul they could receive in return for his production might be something worth investigating.
  3. Tonight's a really interesting matchup. I'd love to see the Hawks use Smith at power forward. (I wrote more in detail about it here: http://soaringdownsouth.com/2012/11/14/josh-smiths-positional-battle/)
  4. I personally LOVE what he's doing at small forward. Check this out: http://soaringdownsouth.com/2012/11/14/josh-smiths-positional-battle/ What do you guys think?
  5. I agree, and feel like the positives that Josh Smith brings to the court are being taken for granted. They'll be missed when he's gone. Here's something I wrote about which position best suits him within Atlanta's current roster structure: http://soaringdownsouth.com/2012/11/14/josh-smiths-positional-battle/
  6. The rebounding is awesome, but if you look at this article I wrote (http://soaringdownsouth.com/2012/11/14/josh-smiths-positional-battle/) the scoring numbers this team is putting up with Smith at the four are astronomical!
  7. And to get him there, it'd be in Atlanta's best interest to have him play as efficiently as possible while still in a Hawks jersey.
  8. This was an interesting conversation, and I think it brings up the positional issue of where Smith is best suited to play. I wrote a little bit about it here: http://soaringdownsouth.com/2012/11/14/josh-smiths-positional-battle/
  9. Right now he's going back and forth from power forward to small forward. Where should he play, and where is he best utilized within the context of Atlanta's current roster? I wrote about this a little bit here: http://soaringdownsouth.com/2012/11/14/josh-smiths-positional-battle/What do you guys think?
  10. What position do you guys think best suits Smith within the context of Atlanta's current roster? I wrote about the idea here: http://soaringdownsouth.com/2012/11/14/josh-smiths-positional-battle/
  11. Why do you think Smith would be a good fit in D'Antoni's system, which is based on quick screen-and-roll action that requires spacing (ie an ability to shoot)
  12. Kenyon wouldn't hurt in theory, but it's hard to see where he gets playing time.
  13. Anyone know where I can grab some last minute tickets for Friday night's game? Thanks in advance.
  14. Haha I take it you're not buying the league's possible movement towards small ball?
  15. I like the fundamental idea of trying to acquire a "superstar," but moving Horford is not the answer. He's a very, very good player, and an important part of Atlanta's future.
