We were never in the bubble, so there you go.

Hopefully he doesn't come back playing like Kris Dunn.

I think I'm gonna need my father's blood pressure medication... JC where is your common sense?

But the Sixers are less concerned with him taking a shot, letting his man cheat more to help break up the lob at the rim. Griffin has shot poorly, but his defender can't afford to leave him open.

That play going wrong had nothing to do with Holiday, but why is he on the court? If you want someone sitting in the corner that 100% should be Griffin.

Too many turnovers. Especially Murray who has been losing the ball carelessly.

We've got guys not getting into the right positions on the court, even running into each other. Murray's TOs are definitely his fault, but on that last one he had some miscommunication with OO who I think expected to get the ball in the post whereas Murray wanted a screen. Just simple stuff that has to get worked out.

This team really has little chemistry at the moment.

We've already seen that we can defend well when Capela is healthy and playing well. We are missing some shooting from that team, but Griffin has obviously filled some of that void, and getting Bogi back will also help a lot once he gets going. It might take a while, but we're capable of playing a lot better than we've seen to start the season. And it's not like we're a complete trainwreck, we're 11-9 with much room for improvement.

With Bogi coming back, and JC hopefully figuring this slump out eventually the shooting will be better than we've seen so far. We're not gonna be a great 3 point shooting team, but that shouldn't as big of a weakness for us by season's end. The lack of ball movement is more concerning to me, but even that is fixable. If we can get more out of JJ off the bench I think we'll be a real contender. The fact that we haven't played at all and we're still competitive is a positive sign.

Really? How can you say that when we haven't even played good basketball yet? We haven't seen the best version of the Hawks yet.

Do you think us getting to the ECFs was a fluke?

Of course not. I just mean that individually criticizing players when they're slumping is poor analysis. It's obvious as a team we're not playing good basketball, but shipping guys out alone isn't going to change things. McMillan needs to step up and right the ship. No excuse for us to still be relying on Trae and Murray alone to be creating the majority of our offense.

It's not like we're getting blown out though. These have been bad losses, but we have been in these games. This team has a lot of upside if we can get the ball moving instead of settling for so many low percentage shots.

If we're losing games there's always gonna be a scapegoat. Folks don't want to remember what it looks like when we're are playing well.

What are you looking at? Murray's addition didn't force us to start calling isos all game. McMillan doesn't know what he's doing.

I don't think they're that nefarious. If they pass Hunter the ball, his only choices are iso or get a screen because nothing else is happening off the ball for anybody. I can understand their thought process (to an extent) that they can create a better shot on their own. At the end of the day though, that kind of basketball is uninspiring and has been unsuccessful when it counts.

You can get them easier shot opportunities by getting players moving off the ball and exploiting defensive lapses. They may not be our best offensive players but they're clearly not useless. Who wants to play on a team where two players are taking 52 shots? That's garbage basketball and it's not like the Rockets forced us to play through two guys.

I'm telling you, it's a consequence of the design of the offense. Trae isn't a selfish player, but if there is no movement off the ball then he has to look for his own shot first and pass only if a help defender comes. Same for Murray and Hunter. We are creating very few opportunities for ourselves via player movement and its a joke because we've got good passers that can get the ball moving.

No ball movement. 14 assists for a team featuring two guards who are capable of getting that individually. This should be a wakeup call for the coaching staff.

It's pretty crazy Okongwu might finish this game with zero field goal attempts. I know he's been fouled a few times, but that's abysmal.

I don't think he will continue to be that bad of a shooter. If he has a good look he should continue to shoot, eventually it'll fall more consistently.

I hate this offense so much.

If he's open he should take them. Not taking shots from the perimeter will hurt the offense more because his defender will be free to help on someone else.
