  1. Ja Morant would be fine defensively for Sarr. He's good defensively off the ball. He just sucks on the ball and he's horrendous at PnR defense. Sarr can cover for that but he can't cover for Trae's and he would have to play drop coverage which would be a major weakness for him in the NBA. Trae and him will be a catastrophic fit as a 1/5. 1/3 is fine. If he can shoot the C&S well, he can work with Trae with no issues. If anything, he helps Trae with perimeter switching
  2. Ya'll don't realize this but you gotta have an inside game as a big to really be effective like the names you mentioned. Sarr is terrible offensively as a big. He's promising as a perimeter player but he's raw at this time. I know what the ideal looks like and they are all exceptional in the paint. Just imagine a player in 2k with bad interior game and he raw at everything on the perimeter. That's Sarr.
  3. Offensively, yeah. Defensively, hell no. The minute Sarr plays a min without Trae on the floor, he's a top 25 defensive player in the league right now. His defensive floor is off the charts. The problem is Trae. Sarr strengths can't cover for Trae's weakness. Sarr is an exceptional defender right now.
  4. To me, we got Gueye who has a lot of potential. While Sarr got a lot more potential than Gueye. They both raw and will take time. At least Gueye is a big and can do big man shit. Give me Clingan. He will never be an superstar but I know we become a much better team. Sarr got exceptional bust potential and I am not convinced we will take our time with him and use him correctly.
  5. This fools think screening is easy. Nothing irks me more than you guys and your bullshit. When it don't work, you want to blame the coaches. The coaches can't turn shit into gold.
  6. Lmao, ya'll really think everything is teachable. If its teachable, draft Clingan who's good at every thing we need now and develop him. This teachable bullshit is only used for players you like
  7. While he can help anyone defensively even then, he's not much of a post defender, struggles badly in drop coverage and is a poor paint protector. Put him on the floor with Trae and his value on both ends goes down to the sink of the ocean. We just need to develop the kid and ship him to CP, asap if we took him. Gueye got more upside as a 5 and he has no upside as a 5.
  8. Ya'll love setting yourself up for this. I've watched the full games, he's the problem bro. His screens are shit. Doesn't like contact. Doesn't roll strong either nor does he have PnR IQ. He's literally just a lob threat. I am out on him if the idea is him as a 5. He will bust extremely fast.
  9. Sarr is way worse at the PnR than any of our current bigs. I really don't believe people understand, this guy doesn't play like a big offensively, at all. Sarr is more likely to be an effective PnR ball handler if we keeping it a buck
  10. If this is your perspective, I can't say anything negative then.
  11. As long as the plan is to be a big wing and we are patient, only then, am I on board. If he's a 5, f*** it! I'm completely out and when the worst happens, I told you so. I see the potential but we gotta have a plan. That said, how does this help Trae?
  12. Hawks University starts in College Park. Patience will be critical for Sarr.
  13. The reason why I say he's a big wing is because he's strong in areas you want big wings to be exceptional at. Offensive rebounds Attaching aggressive closeouts Finishing when slashing straight line Can finish through contact from the perimeter While he's not a good C&S guy yet, I clearly see the upside. I really think he's comparable to Jaden McDaniels but he's better. Way better. Bigger, stronger, faster, quicker, better lateral quickness. I think Sarr is a potential monster if used right. His offensive upside is legit. While he's more of an open court guy, his ability to dribble and create for a 7ft + is rare. He's not KD or anything like that. But a potential 18ppg with world class defense for a big wing who's 7'1 is groundbreaking. He can lock up small guards. That's what makes him different. His offensive floor is extremely low but he has promise.
  14. We already seen that, that's not the case. Sadly, Trae is a poor floor general. He's an elite offensive juggernaut who excels at the PnR. The best PnR player I've ever seen
  15. We all see the potential because he's extraordinary talent. Someone just upped a post from me saying only Edey with the Hawks and Sarr in the right situation can be a MVP from this class. So it's not like I am down on this kid completely. I am high on his talent and if you are patient, you could hit a grand slam with his upside as a big wing.
  16. I'll take that. That was getting us and Houston 10-12 WAR. That's us being in the top 3-4 every year and being better than the Knicks and Pacers. Give me that. He's better than Capela to me but if that's what he is, I'll take it.
  17. JJ got a lot better. He did what he was suppose to do. Improve and build a skillset that could help us in terms of winning games. I don't know how that's a shot at me. I can't project if someone makes minor improvements over the years and they have a massive jump, that's not predictable. It doesn't fit the metrics charts. JJ was someone many felt should be most improved. That's a testament to himself.
  18. He can play drop coverage at an exceptionally high rate. With Trae, that matters massively. We don't get killed due to PnRs, we get killed off the ball, in transition because of turnovers and PITP. Sarr ain't changing that with off ball failures like Trae on the court defensively. His metrics completely crater as a drop coverage big. He's world class as a switch, man, and rim protector. He got some exceptional qualities but Trae has a way to f*** them up just due to his lack of tools and measurements on D. His effort is there and he now.fights through screens and isn't much of a liability as a PnR and man defender. But he's still the worst in the NBA off the ball and really, nothing can change that.
  19. If you want to sell me on Sarr potential, I can see it as well but not with Trae.
  20. Offense matters a lot and defense does too. If you can't protect the paint and play well in drop coverage because you aren't a real big, you are basically a switchable big wing, nothing wrong with that if he's a 4. But as a 5, that's asking to be abused in the NBA. JJ also is our 4 and he's likely to be a broader line all star. We would have to trade him at some point for Sarr Anyone thinking Sarr is this sweet fit is delusional af. There is nothing in his metrics or game film that shows a positive fit with Trae. He will be fine with Quin. He fits what Quin likes and Quin can find a center who fits Sarr. But that means we aren't playing Trae ball no more. If you want Sarr and you want him to work, Trae has to go. Otherwise, his bust potential is off the charts. He's terrible at every area Trae needs you to be great at.
  21. If we trade for BI/Daniels/picks. We need Clingan. Trae Bogi BI JJ Clingan Gives us a legit 50 win+ team yearly.
  22. Drafting Sarr makes the BI trade the most pointless in history. BI and JJ are essentially blocking Sarr at his best position and Sarr will f*** up Trae so much on offense and defense, it's a disaster as he has everything but what Trae needs. Even then, he needs to be in the Gleague due to offense alone and getting stronger
  23. I don't have that intel and won't have that intel as they haven't even brought the guys in yet.
  24. I still agree with that. Have you paid attention to my posts on Sarr as a big wing. My issue with him is with the Hawks, in particular as a big where his bust potential is through the roof.
