  1. I watched the film, he is fast for his size and moves fairly well up and down the court well for a center. Your new boys, no Ceilings literally said the same on the Edey podcast multiple times. This is your boys. At the end of the day, my job isn't make you sensible. It's just to speak facts and stick to the truth. It's just that simple.
  2. Landry is smart, he should draft Edey. Move down, get extra draft cap and draft the best player on the board. Common sense
  3. Impact guys are where it's at. Jokic was an impact guy before he was a star guy
  4. I like Ron Holland. I think he got the best chance at being that broader line all star class that Smoove and JJ are in. But guys like that are always in that range where I am not sure if they impact winning like that. I value elite 6th man like Jamal Crawford and key role player like Shane Battier over stat monsters who don't exactly impact winning. They tend to he great in transition. They tend to get stocks but when I watch them play, do they impact winning and they always get paid and I don't know if they help you at the end of the day. I rather avoid that type all together unless you are needy like us with whom are talent deprived. His grade is a 93 as well. So he's in that tier but my top 10 is full of what I think matters more to winning ball so while he is grade wise in the mix, I don't love guys like him is my rule of thumb
  5. Sothron and I are generally on the same page and we are day and night on this one. I still love my brother and I will never hate on my brother, EVER There are people that had Penix as a 2nd round prospect so to them, it was a massive reach. For me, I loved it and I wanted Penix to sit a year.
  6. Shelden and Payne were guys I thought were obvious busts and were. Obviously some of the 90s picks was those were much weaker classes overall. Acie Law and Cam Reddish surprised me. I wasn't against Marvin, just felt CP3 and Deron in particular Deron was the obvious choice.
  7. It wouldn't be a shock to me that he's a star in his 2nd contract regardless of where he lands.
  8. There are people that had Penix as a 2nd round prospect so to them, it was a massive reach.
  9. The Falcons did the right thing in my eyes but my eyes isn't everyone eye and there are a lot of fans who things differently. Also, I compared Penix Jr to Warren Moon but with more speed so I also was higher on Penix Jr upside than I was on Cousins period. It's 3 parts 1. Did you like the Cousins signing? I didn't till Penix was drafted 2. Do you see value in two premium QBs on the same roster? I used to like the Montana/Young 49ers as a kid so I always saw value in it if aged completely different 3. Did you like Penix Jr at 8th overall? I did and felt he was a legit 1st overall pick candidate if Caleb wasn't in this class. So I eventually liked everything but some maybe many only liked 1 out of 3. For example, supes, do you go for upside or NBA ready. I wanted Reddish over Hunter even though we got both. I wanted upside over what I felt was someone who was just a versatile role player at the end of the day. Plus I really loved Reddish potential. What happened? I lost and bad. Times I wanted upside over proven but was cool with the proven. I wanted Brendan Wright over Al Horford. I was cool with Horford but Wright is the next KG. Lmao, another L. I generally always lose the upside over proven battle. I only win when upside is so clear like Josh Smith or Jalen Johnson. Where it's upside v. Someone like Jameer Nelson or Quintin Grimes. Not that those two are bad but the upside play was so obvious to me. I even liked Hali over OO Luka over Trae Jalen Brunson over Omari It would be tough for me but I'll probably go Edey over Risacher. That would be tough for me. Easy for me is Risacher over Sarr and Edey over Sarr. That's extremely easy for me.
  10. As long as teams believe Bronny equals Bron, Bron will have value. I've heard 5 people bring up Bronny to us for 1st overall and made sense with the reasoning as well.
  11. Sarr can't be every elite prospect ever and Edey who is extremely well accomplished with great data and testing results get shun every single time you bring up guys like Yao Ming, Shaq, and Jokic but let's be 100x more ridiculous and bring up JJJ, KG, and others who's heights he's extremely unlikely to ever reach. I am really not a fan of Sarr supporters extreme suppression of Edey because you believe someone prototype is this when the data and the film don't match the eye. Even if Edey is different than Jokic, his predictive results from Pelton is the same as JOKIC His impact is projected to be high, the highest for his size since Yao Ming Ya'll love shunning Edey but when he's a stud in the NBA and Sarr clearly flops. Everyone is gonna be like, we knew Edey would be good, we saw it in college, NBA GMs are dumb. Sarr was good in OTE or in Australia in the ABL. The Hawks are a terrible organization with bad management. No one and I am no one will excuse negligence as a reason do make a mistake. Saying Darko was #2 against Bron all year doesn't give Detroit the excuse that they passed on Wade and Melo. [Edey deserves respect]. You have no clue what he will become in the NBA. Even me, who thinks he's a perennial MVP candidate with Trae is unsure completely until it happens for real. You can only be so sure regardless of how confident I am that it will happen
  12. With Trae, Luka, or Harden, yes. But in general, I see him as a 6th man
  13. I really don't see Sarr as a big. He's a big wing to me. He can you be bad at all big man actions on both ends and claim you are a big?
  14. That's the thing, you see him as that. Not us. Let's say he was that, then he shouldn't be a 1st round pick much less #1 overall prospect on my personal BB. But he's not that. So, there is your answer
  15. OO is more of a lob threat, OO is just a dullard on the PnR whereas CC has a good feel for the roll and even washed and missing screens like crazy, he's still miles better at it than OO.
  16. There is the blind assumption to expect the best of the prospects some posters like and expect the worse on prospects they don't like. There is no true baseline on here. If i like Sarr, KG and JJJ. That's not even a real baseline, that's just wishful thinking. That's like my Cam could be Klay Thompson with better ability to defend on the perimeter. Boy, he never came close to developing a movement skill. He still stays around the perimeter waiting for the ball and his 3 ball is still as inconsistent as ever
  17. That statement is wrong. He was superior this year with Murray than Trae. The metrics back that. That said, he wasn't even half way healthy till the 2nd half of the season so it's unfair to truly judge
  18. Screening Movement as a big man Low post movement Motor Hook shot ability to finish through contact Strength Ability to draw contact Size Mental acuity Stamina Touch Rebounding Boxing out Timing Leadership Intangibles Hands Hand size Aggressiveness Will 7'11 wingspan [Edey has lots of] translatable skills
  19. There is no promise of that. To assume it like it's guarantee is doing him a disservice. I literally did the same with Cam Reddish and it was doing him a disservice. Wishful thinking logic is dangerous because it's not promised
  20. Walker Kessler is only completed his 2nd year, that's not a defined outcome yet.
  21. None of them profile as a top high lottery guy. Edey is my #1 prospect and I see him as a 6th man for the most part
  22. Risacher or Edey. Possibly Clingan.
  23. [T]he data disagrees, the coaches disagree, even OO said progress ain't linear in the presser for the exit interview about his performance this year. https://neilpaine.substack.com/p/nba-estimated-raptor-player-ratings
  24. He was playing the 4 and 5 exclusively tho? https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/c/chandty01.html
