  1. In the 30s for now. DX has him at 30. Some teams have him in the early 2nd round. Still a lot of teams still haven't started the real evaluation process yet. They are putting it all together. So much of these evals is going to former programs, current programs, etc.
  2. His stock been going down since the end of the season and the reports are being turned in from scouts. Generally, that's a bad sign. The Athletic and DX strongly takes from GM and scouting executives. Not random regional scouts like nbadraft.net or internet scouting sites like No Ceiling.
  3. I don't see how Ware going to work in the NBA. His biggest strengths is switchablity and his world class change of direction. His BBIQ is meh. His misses rotations often. He's not a paint protector He is a good rim protector but most of his damage is on weak side blocks and occasional length blocks on the ball. That Samuel Dalembert way ain't really how teams want shot blockers. They want them geometry blockers. He blocks shots the same way Edey does. His feel for the game is limited His production game is exclusively rim running. Everything else is questionable. His screens are terrible He's weak in the paint on both ends His Shooting form is different every time like Cam on his shots with range. His self creation are flashes and I believe it will die as flashes. This dude looks like your typical 2nd round big man. This idea of what you want him to be ain't what he is. I wouldn't be shocked if his trade stock fell through the draft process. He doesn't have real upside. He's just talented with no real impact. Who needs switching if you aren't working hard or consistently mentally missing assignments. He should have stayed in college and kept developing. I hope he does that. That's his best play. Show consistency. Show a skill set that's viable. If you gotta sell be horse crap and no way you can prove it. I am a fool for buying it. I've been through this train before with Cam. Never again and Cam had rare talent. He was worth going on that ride with. This dude is just talented. He ain't even worth this much words. Draft grade from me is 2nd. I expect him to go 40-55. I wouldn't draft him at all personally. I wouldn't even bring him in on a 2way.
  4. Bogi benefitted from a poor 1/2 fit
  5. Whereas I see this as a no brainer. If you had the 1st pick as the Hawks or Mavs, draft Edey. If he was a worse Boban, I too wouldn't draft him at all. But I see him as Zach Edey. Zach Edey is the best prospect on the board for fit with Trae. He unlocks Trae off the ball which is a negative for Trae. This completely unlocks him. That plus what he would bring to any team. It would be more important with Trae or Luka. Especially Trae.
  6. It's not a real back and forth. It's one person seeing this player as the fix to all our critical offensive flaws and it's the other guy seeing him as a worse Boban. I have him as this: Here are some key attributes of Edey’s game: 1. Exceptional movement for a big man of his size - Two movement packages (Low post movement - First since LA Shaq, and big man movement which is common in the modern NBA) 2. Superior mental acuity, including basketball IQ, feel for the game, and awareness 3. An athletic freak for his size (7’4, 306 lbs) - Look at his NBA combine numbers. KB voice - OO is way more athletic, Supes. I know but OO is outweighed by 55 pounds and 8 inches shorter. That's the same difference between Trae and JJ. 4. Outstanding hand skills - Elite catch radius 5. He has excellent body control for his size - Can finish in traffic and draw fouls while finishing 6. High-energy player with a relentless motor 7. Consistent scorer - His shot tendency is in the 95+ range which is good but it can be a bad thing but good for the Hawks. 8. Constant movement in and around the post 9. Top-tier screen setter, a potential leader in screen assists given sufficient minutes. His ability to reset and want to set elite screens is infectious as Dennis Rodman thirsts for rebounds. 10. Proficient roller as a pick-and-roll big. 1.54 PPP would lead the NBA 11. Elite helper who makes life easier on his primary ball handler. - An elite helper is a big man, exclusively a true center in the modern NBA who has elite movement + Screening + Feel for the game + Awareness + BBIQ + Finishing = Elite Helper. These guys make the game a lot easier for their teammates but it's hard for their teammates to explain why they are so damn helpful. They just say, he knows how to play the game but this is a clear definition for you. Whereas KB thinks this Slow, plodding center, does everything slow, he's extremely slow, can't move, no skills, bad defense, nothing he did in college is real. He's worse than. Boban. Tacko Fall is better. Will never draft in a million years. So that's why he's in here like his life depends on this because he's trying to match my passion. One of us thinks passing on him will destroy the franchise unless they get Clingan who's a lesser fit with Trae but safer pick overall The other thinks, Edey will destroy the franchise if he is the pick. We are on complete opposite spectrums. [ ] This is why we are likely going to have a thread at 100+ pages.
  7. He literally told you he thinks he's worse than Boban. He doesn't just hate Edey. He strongly hates Edey. He's just not on board with Edey. I feel the same about Ware but I'll give Ware is props for what he is. KB literally can't. He doesn't believe any metrics saying good and only seeks bad film only. He just seriously hates him.
  8. There are a some in the locker room who love DJ a lot more but this locker room gets along. Locker room Chemistry wasn't our issue this year.
  9. Because it doesn't take into account what Giannis is good at based on its own math
  10. Lopez, Zubac, and Jonas was on the perimeter and they were lumbering more than Edey. You still gotta shoot over that and it's easy to dribble drive against that size either. Thats.7'4 306 pounds with a 7'10.5 wingspan. Seeing how CC is moving and he's 6 inches shorter and 40 pounds less, let Edey do his thing.
  11. He's liked among his teammates.
  12. Cousins and Acuna got a vote for favorite non basketball athlete Cousins caught a stray tho
  13. Coaches choose the players. Hill recommends the players. Grant recommended Trae but they didn't want him. He's not exactly beloved by coaches. Quin loves him
  14. I don't get it. Players or Media didn't vote him in for the All star. I don't get it. Who rates him outside of fans? It makes no sense why he's always on this list.
  15. https://theathletic.com/5433545/2024/04/22/nba-player-poll-2024-lebron-jordan-goat-celtics-nuggets-rudy-gobert-timberwolves?source=user-shared-article How is Trae overrated when he's never rated?
  16. The Hawks trying to trade Trae over Murray is false. His trade value has falling is true. It has significantly falling across the league. I can't say I disagree. Murray is better and he's a smooth fit at PG for teams like NO, PHX, ORL, etc. You gotta build around Trae and that's not easy to do. We know. That said, Trae is the one that can carry a franchise. Not Murray which shouldn't be his role anyway.
  17. They made a run at him during the trade deadline but NO wanted more value than Atlanta was willing to offer. From what I've gathered, NO wants to keep Marshall.
  18. He's been helping with scouting which is more than he used to do. Hawks are working all corners this year. Even ones they usually don't bother with much
  19. I've been watching the Pels often lately and I can see BI being better in Atlanta than NO. There is more C&S opportunities in Atlanta. He wouldn't be who the defense sent all of their coverages too as long as Trae is there. While he's not a POA defender, when motivated, his man defense isn't bad at all. His length and size helps. It's clear why they wanted Murray. They don't have a PG who can run sets outside of Jose A and he doesn't really have the offense to play many minutes. Too small and not dynamic enough. Murray's defense would be superb in NO. His style doesn't work here, we don't have enough defenders to protect his high risk style but in NO, they do. I wouldn't be shocked if he was all NBA defense in NO. It seems like BI and Murray would equally benefit from a move. OO and Dyson Daniels would too. Daniels got like 4 POA defenders in front of him in Jones, Murphy, Jose, and Marshall. Defensively, he's close to those guys but all of those guys are capable shooters, he isn't. OO would fit perfectly spliting mins with Jonas. That system fits him and OO iso defense would do wonders for them in the playoffs against exceptional bigs. This is one of those obvious trades that benefit both teams.
  20. Hunter don't got a ton of trade value because of the contract and CC is a negative asset right now at this current salary. As I mentioned earlier, the new salary cap has squeezed the middle class and sadly, we gave those ext before the market curved Murray and OO are our best assets just due to their good contracts.
