  1. It wouldn't for 2021 but it will for even the max for 2020 but there is no one that can get the max in 2020 available truly. Hawks currently have 60 million in cap space out of 115. Richardson 10 and Horford is 27. Dedmon is 13 going out. 23 million for 2020. 2021 is projected to be 125, we have 43 million for 2021. Obviously, our 1sts this year is expected to add salary as well. So we would likely be right around 35-37 million for 2021. We might have to shave a million but that should he easy to move money.
  2. If he was cheaper, he wouldn't be available for extremely cheap either. He's still productive even as a wrongly used player as Philly is doing right now.
  3. I am pretty sure Philly would rather the 1st to trade in this draft over Richardson as a wing is extremely difficult to get on the open market and trade market right now and to be a filler might be undervaluing him too much in the current marketplace. Also, they need to limit their salaries as much as possible.
  4. I like these four off-season moves a lot: Draft Obi Toppin in the top 5. Trade Bruno, Dedmon, and cash considerations for PHI 2020 1st rounder (OKC), Horford, and Richardson Move up a bit around 15-19 range to get Killian Hayes or Cole Anthony if they slip. Draft Tille with our 2nd rounder. Trae/Anthony or Hayes/Teague Reddish/Kevin/FA or Bembry Hunter/Richardson/FA or Graham Collins/Toppin/Tille Capela/Horford/Skal 1-13 with insane depth. 1-10 can all be + WAR players. Best depth in the eastern conference with Toronto. Finally a team that can win around Trae Young.
  5. Scust at Vassell being anywhere near someone's top 5 much less over Toppin.
  6. The Hawks have so many options. I'll say go BPA. None of these guys will start year 1, finally. If that's LaMelo, draft him. At the end of the day, having two Trae Young's is MUCH better than just one. My Hawks big board is this: 1. Edwards 2. Toppin 3. Okoro 4. Haliburton 5. Deni 6. LaMelo 7. Okongwu 8. Wiseman 9. Cole Anthony 10. Vassell I am great with any of the top 4. I am fine with top 7. I am just okay with 8-10. At the end of the day, none of these guys need to be in the core year 1. They just need to be prospects in year 1 like John was for us his rookie year.
  7. I agree with Andrew on this. Richardson is the perfect get for cap space like McDermott.
  8. Any trade for Richardson needs to be for cap space or non-assets. We aren't in position to trade our young assets for anyone at this stage. Richardson is not Capela, he's not worth a 1st rounder. Capela is.
  9. Three moves I will consider to add salary and talent for the Hawks: 1. Horford/Richardson for Dedmon- Philly saves 88-90 million dollars in future salary. Gains a decent center. Hawks gain a top 10-15 center on a bad contract and a top 30 wing. Improves our depth tremendously. 2. Doug M for a future 2nd rounder - Depending on how the cap is, Indy could be in the LT. This will get them out of the LT and give us a quality wing for nothing like IND did to get Warren. 3. Patty Mills for free - I doubt SAS will be in a tough cap spot but this could be available. This is something Atlanta needs to look at.
  10. I love yoooouuuuuu JAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Probably because we don't care about public reaction of our opinions.

I wasn't comparing them as the same players, just ball dominate is all. In all fairness, AI didn't play in the modern NBA, he played in the ISO era. Production was king, not efficiency.

It don't work like that believe it or not and AI dominated the rock, we already got our baby AI in Trae Young

So did John Wall who I watched live in over 100+ games as a season ticket holder. It's the IQ aspect he lacks and he's always lost. That's not easy to fix. I think Edwards fans have a blind spot for him.

I am not high on either as defenders long term

The floaters The ball handling Ball has bigger passing pockets due to his height while Trae is quicker to get to spots. Both aren't good finishers at all as prospects but the potential is there for both and achieved by Trae. Shooting wise, Trae has an edge on Ball as a prospect as Ball has an edge on Trae as a defender I just see these two are highly comparable

I don't think you are hating, I just see the two as similar

I think they are very similar as well. Trae didn't have this jumper I was sold was going to translate either as a prospect. I think it's unfair to compare prospect Ball to All Star Young. Prospect Ball compares favorably to prospect Young from the eye test for me. If you want to disagree, that's your opinion and one I won't stop you for but when they Trae Young type, I tend to agree

I just haven't heard the Hawks name for either player. Embiid or Simmons. The journalist I got this info from said Cleveland is interested in both players but Philly isn't interested in moving Simmons.
  21. A lot of people like Luka game because it's more aesthetically pleasing but James is just much more difficult to guard and far more efficient. I don't like his game at all. It's not pleasing on the eyes but I am not delusional either. He's extremely effective

He's going to be used like a suped up Lamar Odom is what I've heard. They want to play an uptempo modern style.
