  1. That pick should be in the playoffs next year. I'll take my chances with 6. If you said New York or Sacramento, I would be interested
  2. I'll do this one. We will still have a REALLY small shot at Toppin and Okoro. Also a good shot at Williams, Haliburton, and Hayes
  3. It's a lot better in the last two years. Teams are starting to adjust to the modern NBA but it's taking time, Wiseman is still a top 3 pick so maybe by 2023.
  4. I don't know if there is an all star that's available this year but I could see JC+6 being appealing for a major trade. It wouldn't shock me if GS stays at #2. There just isn't a player available right now that makes sense to trade the #2 pick for. How do you pronounce Avdija?
  5. I agree, I really don't think Igbo names are hard to pronounce.
  6. I honestly think moving Collins is a bad idea. Even if aren't going to give him the contract he wants, I'll rather do a SnT like MIL did with Brogdon. Trading JC to GS for #2 just isn't appealing at all to me. It's all about commonality. We see Smith all of the time, many of us do not see Okongwu.
  7. I hope he doesn't. That's a wasted pick. He's going to be forever limited and has no shot of overtaking Cam/Hunter/Kevin. The people who like him to us are the people who HATE Cam/Hunter and don't see Kevin as a good fit because of his defense. For us, who love Cam, it's stupid because this guy is going to be position locked and is that really that valuable. He has value as I do think he can be a rotation piece sooner than later like Cam Johnson is for PHX but you have limitations and considering what we got. I think it's pointless. He just doesn't have that much versatility defensively. It's great that he's a good defender right now but what good does it do me if that's position locked. He's not going to be overtaking Cam Reddish no matter how much guys like Hollinger don't like Cam or Hunter. The Hawks love them and we do. Hollinger got fired for a reason.
  8. I hate Devin Vassell as an option more than I hated Jarrett Culver last year and I really didn't like Culver and he showed exactly why this season and I liked him at #10 a lot more than Vassell at #6 because Culver is a good player, just not a good fit. Vassell is not a good basketball player at all. 3&D SG's are position locked and he's showed me he can't guard quick PG's either. I hate the idea of drafting a 3&D SG in the lottery. Easy pass for me. Patrick Williams is by far the best prospect for us from Florida State.
  9. This is probably my wish list and why: 1. Toppin - My #2 prospect in this class. An offensive dynamo, can play on and off the ball, great decision maker with a nice feel for the game, good passing chops with potential to be great, elite finisher and special movement player abit not as good as JC, good shooter, and excellent first step for a PF. Defensively, is position locked but has some positive qualities that make you think he's more like Dwight Powell and Kelly Oknlyk than Jabari Parker and Michael Beasley. I think by year 2, he can compete with JC for the starting spot and give us an elite 6th man along with Kevin. Easily my #1 if available. 2. Deni - My #6 prospect in this class. He's a PDS dynamo offensively and while I have questions about his jumper, I do think it has potential in the long run. I really can see a role where he becomes an excellent 6th man in time. Considering the lack of good bigs on this roster after the starters. I am going to value him at a higher rate than Okoro just due to him being ready next season and not in 2021. #2 if available which I have doubts. Slight Gap 3. Okoro - My #10 prospect in this class and #2 on my current Hawks BB of players I think could be an option (removed Ball, Edwards, and Wiseman). He is a movement wing with a nonstop motor, has PD ability and potential to be more, strong as an ox, elite finisher for a wing, and is an exceptional defensive perimeter prospect right now. But his shooting is WIP and his offensive skill is currently basic level. I don't see him as more than a 10th man right now but his potential+realized potential is one of the highest in the class. I think he's worthy of this spot. His intangibles and BBIQ really give you hope. Some will question his shot and compare him to MKG and Bembry who had broken shots but you can also compare him to Jaylen Brown, Jimmy Butler, and Andre Iguodala who needed to work on their jumper as well. I think Atlanta has to seriously look at how good it is but as good as an overall player he is. Why not? I think he's the obvious choice if the Toppin and Deni are gone. 4. Patrick Williams - My #14 prospect in this class is a bit of a reach but he's a projected big wing with Covington potential, a great body, good feel for the game, good BBIQ, great defensive intangibles and just is much better on tape in stat wise. He's what you want in a modern 3&D big wing which is the most valuable 3&D there is. While I do think he will take some time and like Okoro is more of a 10th man at this stage, his potential screams eventual starter even if not as good as Okoro. Some will rather Williams because of his shooting ability even if he's not the same level talent. For me, he's clearly #4 right now for me on options for #6 overall. Gap 5. Tyrese Haliburton - My #4 overall player in this class and #4 on my current Hawks BB of players I think could be an option. He dropped for #6 options just due to the fact that I think he's a PG and Jeff Teague is coming back. Our offense was much better after the trade and I think Atlanta wants a vet. I don't think it's a good idea in an extremely strong PG draft. We could just buy our way up and get Pritchard, Riller, Flynn, Lewis, or someone like that which will be better value overall. I guess my thing is value. The other positions value extremely drop after the lottery. The PG position is extremely strong after the lottery. So I am playing the game of value. I do think Hali has more potential than people think and I clearly wouldn't be oppose to drafting him. I just don't think other positions are that good in this class as PG position is. 6. Hayes - I will keep this short, I like him but it wouldn't surprise me if he was a rich man's Kris Dunn. Like a Gary Payton type. It also wouldn't surprise me if he was just Kris Dunn pt 2. I actually like his defense a lot more than most but his offense isn't that advanced and he's a turnover machine. His PnR reads and play is 2nd to only LaMelo Ball and ahead of Haliburton, Lewis, and Anthony. I like him but the depth of PG's in this class is what's hurting him. My #6 overall player in this class. 7. Cole Anthony - I really like him. I think he's going to be a really good player and already is a good basketball player. That's it. My #9 overall prospect. I think he can be what we wanted Brandon Jennings to be.
  10. This is a reach. I actually watched his games after the COVID. He's a NBA 4 defensively
  11. I am indifferent. #6 is right there at the spot where most teams above want to trade down to but teams below probably don't want to trade something good. I can see the same deal Phoenix did at 7 being had at our slot. Someone the level of Dario Saric. I'll rather stick to #6. For me, we need to buy a 1st rounder this year and get a 3rd string PG who can eventually overtake Teague. I see want to use our #50 pick for a two way contract but that player shouldn't be a lock for the opening day.
  12. Pretty big reach considering he lacks versatility and one dimensional
  13. Go right ahead, I can't do it anymore so why not my friend
  14. For the first time since Luka, I hope we stay put. We are in a great spot, don't screw this up Travis
  15. Any Cam Reddish trade proposals is usually awful and neg worthy
  16. Shit was worse than Marvin but Marvin stands out because of CP3 and Deron
  17. Spurs wouldn't do it for #6 for Murray
  18. Collins and Capela is our tandem. Toppin will be a 6th man like Kevin. Our Harrell and Lou Williams
  19. I doubt he will be there but if he is. I'll be ecstatic
  20. Jaylen Brown 2 Jimmy Butler 2 Andre Iguodala 2
