  1. He's done more than those two but is it enough is the question
  2. He was like that in Houston as well. While he wasn't the mouth, that was Tucker, he was one of the brains on defense. He really took pride in it. I honestly think the injury got him traded more than anything. He was critical to Houston's defense. They really haven't recovered since losing him.
  3. P.J. Tucker is a REALLY good fit next to Capela. He does a lot of things I really think benefited Capela and I say that as someone who been to a lot of Rocket games in person. Especially his communication skills. Tucker does a lot of good things. He's clearly not on John's level but let's not put him in the same damn picture with a clown like Ryan Anderson who's archetype died when you were required to do more than shoot threes to be a stretch big.
  4. He's made perfect for Trae. He protects him and provides a roll option. He basically does what Jones does but actually great at most things outside of just finishing dunks. Defensively, Trae probably already noticed a massive difference.
  5. Playing time is a big deal for free agents unless you offer an insane amount of money. If the player is coveted, PT is critical. That's why Davis Bertrans will be a mountain too hard to land
  6. Not exactly but I do think the Hawks want a younger in their prime vet. They wanted T.J. McConnell last year but he choose to go to Indiana which had more PT even if they offered less money
  7. It's going to be interesting to see how Atlanta deals with that PG position. They need to overhaul everyone after Trae since they traded Dennis

I can't say for sure, there is still a chance these teams can workout these players and when that chance comes available will mean everything. Hearing Edwards is now a legit 6'6. Ball is still growing and Toppin grew before last season. Information is still fluid. Edwards has been the Hawks top guy for awhile. Question his fit with Trae but he will make an impact similar to Harden with Westbrook in OKC in my eyes, Atlanta would be a fool to pass on that. But teams are talking to players agencies right now. Players know their market, even if they can't sign a deal beforehand. I have serious doubts Atlanta can buy a lottery pick but that's just my opinion. Atlanta is just doing it's due diligence. I think it is a shock to have Ball in your top 3 when last year Morant wasn't there. I get if Ball was there, I would trade down but to actually take him is different. It's no surprise for Toppin or Edwards due to Edwards ability to play both wing spots and Toppin can give us a backup for John and if Collins decides to leave, he gives us a player like Devincezo was for Brodgon. There is a lot to like about 2021 and not just Giannis. You got half of the NBA'S superstars who are free agents in 2021. Open to the idea at least. I still have my doubts Atlanta will do any deal that requires one of the core 5 to be moved and not get a star or superstar in return. Not sure Atlanta has the assets to land Hield. Harris has been a target for awhile but he has other suitors, its obvious Atlanta has the most money but Harris lives in NY and loves it there. Even if the Nets move on, the Knicks would still be interested. The Hawks biggest issue is playing time. They lack it at most positions and a lot of guys are leaning to returning to their teams so its gonna be a tough year for Atlanta. There is a reason teams were trying to get cap space last year, many saw this FA class as extremely weak last offseason. I think it's worth trying. Especially if Hunter and Reddish improve as expected. There is a chance someone like Rudy Gobert could be available as well so Atlanta has options. Not that I know of. The Bulls seemed to pull him off the market no happy with the value they have received in return is what I've heard from multiple people and places in the last couple of days. Riley been aiming for another big 3-4 for awhile.
  9. DeAnthony Melton makes sense if we truly think Kevin is going to be excellent as a backup PG for the 2nd unit. I am not sure I am as confident. I would rather Kris Dunn. If Kevin can be the backup PG as well, Melton makes more sense as he's better than Dunn overall.

I disagree. I think he's a PG. Your team was a terrible fit. No spacing, no shooters, low PnR play. He should have went to Georgetown or Notre Dame

He didn't struggle early on before the injury. The injury really hurt him
  12. Wiseman doesn't fit but value wise, can you get mad at 6 or later? Probably not. At 4, I just don't like it.
  13. The whole team was ass. Angel whooped our ass
  14. Atlanta don't have a true rival. Probably New York since Sabrina and Hollywood will be forever linked.

Good news and bad news: The Hawks could possibly be open to selling our HOU 2nd rounder. Good news is, the Hawks are one of the teams looking to buy a 1st rounder in this draft as they plan to sit on a portion of the money for 2020. I was told Atlanta wants to target a PG. I am with @Buzzard on this one. I would love to have Cole Anthony as a backup to Trae.
  16. We could have used Bol, Graham and the other ones we traded for cash
  17. If Angel was our female Dominique, Chennedy is Trae Young.
  18. The one thing I notice was Cam shot looked the same each time and his handles are starting to become smooth again like it was in HS. I saw a lot of flashes at the end of the season. Trae is looking like Trae. Jordan Lloyd needs a shot at the NBA.

i kinda agree but he's getting a lot of attention in general. I was told Detroit wants to keep him at all cost and he's limited in the salary he can get. This was not by my guy but from a couple others who have knowledge of DET's FA situation. Before they hired their new GM, they were set on trying to land FVF but I don't know about now. Retaining Wood seems to be priority. I do know Blake Griffin is as available as ever.

Here is what I think is going on in the draft. Melo and Edwards are clearly the top 2 guys among the potential lottery teams especially non bubble. There is a great chance if you land in a slot to get them, you can trade down for future pick with heavy protections or a mid to late 1st in this year's draft. Not the value we got for Hunter but things can change as we get closer and teams know their real spot. Teams really like their 5-10 range in this draft and see little difference outside of the big 3 which they consider to be Edwards, Ball, and Wiseman. Like last year, this will be an eye of the beholder draft and like last year, the lottery will dictate a lot.
