  1. I don't get how ESPN gets their numbers. Spotrac says we have a lot more than 42 million It's a shit article. Not worth reading.
  2. https://orlandomagicdaily.com/2019/09/18/2020-orlando-magic-player-outlook-al-farouq-aminu/2/ Grant https://thunderousintentions.com/2018/05/12/jerami-grant-season-review-transforming-contributor/ Both are average players who are below average offensive players who are average on offense at their peak who are good defenders. The difference is one fits our system offensively and the other clearly doesn't. I'll take the one who fits for a thousand, Alex
  3. Lol! This is the shit I am talking about on this site about understanding what we do and saying the silliest shit! Grant offensively is BAD with the basketball. Poor decision maker. Can't dribble. Its obvious why he worked well in a low ball movement system like OKC with Westbrook dominating the rock and struggled badly with Denver and their motion offense where every player is responsible of being capable of doing shit positive with the rock and you want him to come here when he already failed badly at the role. This shit is why we got rid of Bazemore as soon as we could and Portland who is extremely similar to us traded him for Ariza who wasn't even playing for Sacramento at all. The only positives for Grant is rim running but we seen Damian Jones and we know that shit ain't that valuable. Aminu on the other hand is a good handler of the rock. Good quick decision maker, good open 3pt shooter and does well with touches which is key as we are a big man touches heavy system. You must be good at being decisive. While giving you similar levels of defense as both are switch defenders who offer versatility. Grant is literally one of the worst fits and I wouldn't take him for free for us. That's not saying he doesn't have value for others but for us, he's Bazemore, Bembry, Graham and those guys are napalm for our current style of play and only need to be there as 13th and 14th man at BEST. I would rather rookies take their spot. OKC was smart to move on when they moved from Westbrook. Genius.
  4. A trash rotation player who doesn't fit our PDS style or a PDS center who's a 5-7 WAR player and is extremely impactful and effective even if it's clear, he's not a 30mpg type anymore. This is a no brainer to me but you know, who's paying attention to impact right. Al would only be our most impactful player by a mile two years ago and our 2nd most impactful player last year by a mile in a down year in a system that used him wrong. I am trying to understand the logic of this site sometimes. I find it hard to see it at times. I literally scust everytime I heard Grant's name brought up. If you want an overpaid impact PF, Orlando has Aminu who is an ideal system fit for us and was in the top 20 of all players plus-minus in 2018-19 before stupidly going to Orlando which is a SHIT fit for a PnR PDS guy in FA because of the money. I am never going to be negative on Dedmon because he's a perfect system fit but he's not good at Basketball. He's not even average. He's below average and all of his benefits is his brain, feel for the game, ability to play within our system and versatility which isn't much at this stage of his career but he's still a great system fit so it's not awful nonetheless.
  5. Travis had no business selling those picks earlier. I really hoped he learned from doing that. This idea of too many young players is silly. A lot of teams have a lot of young players. They just got key vets, we don't.
  6. This team is garbage either way. We need to get a top 3 pick, hopefully a big wing anyway.

  8. He was pretty good at first than his conditioning and lack of PT in SAC caught up with him
  9. Unlikely and his new contract is about to kick in next season
  10. I don't see Dallas trading an asset to get rid of Wright. He's on an okay but overpaid deal. He could be had for free like Dedmon but there teams will likely want some value. Felt like it was a good value trade for both teams. I tried to do trades that aren't so one sided unless I say a reason why it would be like the Horford/Richardson/PHI 1st deal for Dedmon is extremely one sided but I said it's due to COVID if the salary cap goes down
  11. What do you all think about Delon Wright for Dwayne Dedmon?
  12. I would consider a trade of Dedmon for Delon Wright. Dallas needs a center. We need a backup PG who can play off the ball.
  13. Aminu for the rights to Alpha Kaba is a great trade to me as well. If we can land Aminu and Horford as our backup 4/5, that would be insane especially considering how we play defense and both fit our offensive style of play to a T while neither fit the style of play of their current teams. I do think Philly needs to mix things up more like Nick Nurse does with Toronto considering the personnel on the court.

He is still good, just playing in DET.

I haven't heard Holiday's name attached to ours but he should be a target considering his improvement in Indy. Forbes isn't worth signing it to me. He is not a good player. I also haven't heard his name attached to us in any type of way. Green is not available. KCP is resigning with LAL as is Bradley from what I got. Leonard hasn't been mentioned and I am not sure if he ever will be. He's not good at all to be honest. Rivers seems to be a lock to resign with HOU is the last I heard before Corona hit. He fits certain systems only in my eyes as well.

It's odd. The FO likes Graham and what he brought to the table and maybe he can really fill in that 12th to 13th man role that comes handy when called upon with no baggage. Then you got Bembry with a little baggage but LP loves him as well as the coaching staff. Neither got any early suitors and may eventually get some but my guess is these dudes might not be in the NBA in 2020-21.

Right now the only locks I've gotten is the Core 6 and the 14th and 15th man (Skal and Bruno). I already mentioned that Bruno could be moved for the right deal as a filler. Nothing I got on Dedmon, our 2020 1st, or our 2020 2nd rounder says that those are locks at this time. What I know is what just about everyone here knows. Atlanta wants to improve their depth from 7th-11th badly. They want quality rotation vets. They want who we draft to earn it is what I've heard and they aren't going to be considered core like John was, they will have to earn it. I like that. I hate giving minutes because we have to. They can go to the G-League as well. When it comes to Goodwin, his teammates love him and he got some people in the org who does but there is a feeling that resigning Jeff Teague is something they want to do more. There was a legit comfort of having a vet PG in the locker room and some felt he helped Trae. His market is dead right now but there is a chance Atlanta could bring him back as a 11th or 12th man/ 3rd PG. We will see, I think it will come down to resigning Jeff or keeping Goodwin for the final cut honestly. Trae Cam or Kevin Hunter Collins Cap Cam or Kevin Key Vet Key Vet Key Vet or Dedmon Rookie 1st rounder PG Rookie 1st rounder Teague or Goodwin Graham or Bembry Skal Bruno The Hawks know this. It's not easy to get shooters. They aren't heavy in this FA class. Look at the names I mentioned that Atlanta likes, all of them can shoot open threes.

Believe it or not, Atlanta may still bring BOTH of them back. Believe it or not, they got some backers for the 12th and 13th man roles within the org that wants to keep them. Neither have much of a market so returning is of interest to both even if it seemed unlikely at the end of our season.
  19. Here are more guys. I already mentioned McDermott and Looney already as has others. Kelly Oubre Beljica Cory Joseph Patty Mills, Aminu, Dwight Powell and his terrible contract, James Johnson and his Allen Crabbe contract.

We are working on that but it's not easy. We got cap space but no one wants it who deserves it as they got options

Way too much, they want a top 5 pick for them when they aren't difference makers for no one. Like who LaVine or Gordon away? Neither are big wings and while Gordon can guard them, he can't offensively play on the wings.

That's my guy. New Orleans wants him back with Ingram and Favors.

Oh, since I am watching the Kings, I just remembered. I am also hearing MJ is open to being very active this FA and wants to sign Giles as well.

Everyone has their own goals. Atlanta likes to do deals where our goals are similar. I do think Atlanta might think about getting the Brooklyn pick back but from everything I was previously told. Atlanta doesn't want to take on bad contracts of non useful players anymore. From my view, I think if Atlanta gonna move up, it will be buying picks and moving up from that way. I don't see them being willing to take on Johnson. I was told earlier this year that this is the end of taking on bad players on bad deals for draft assets.
