  1. As a prospect, Haliburton for me. Hayes has a higher ceiling but he has more blockers and there is not guaranteed he will get there.
  2. A top 15 offensive player and a bottom five defensive player in the NBA. That's year two JC. That's basically what he is right now impact wise and that's year 1. No sophomore jump where he would be fully able to use his playmaking and scheme versatility with the experience he already has from college. Like I said, I'll take year 2 JC as a top 15 choice overall even if he never improves again a if he improves which he should just like everyone else, why not take that is my question at the worst. You can do much worse in this class. Coaches can coach defense and he's an overall smart player, he can learn how to be an impact on defense. I don't know why guys just don't see it that way at the worst. We can disagree on potential but his floor is the best in this class. His offensive floor will likely be in the top 15 of this class when everyone reaches their ceiling.
  3. I've been saying for a month, I like this kid but taking him over Toppin, is shocking to me. Toppin is clearly a better offensive player and defensively, he's a 4 so he's not going to be much better either on defense if not worse. Because of his COVID play, his stock has shot up and teams are drinking the Kool-Aid. Some teams already liked him but once he came back and looked much better. Teams were sold. He benefited from post COVID play.
  4. Even if you think lowly of Toppin, he's still the best offensive player in this draft at worst a good offensive player right now. His floor is likely a top 15 prospect in this class. That's what gets me. I am high on Toppin, I already think day 1, he's a top 30 PF in the NBA and a 15 offensive PF which I know, is not a high mark at all but considering this is the draft and a weaker one at that, that's pretty damn good value even if you are down on the kid. I just don't get it. I really don't understand how some Hawk fans can be down on this kid. He's literally a perfect system fit with what we do and want from our bigs. It's crazy to me to be honest.
  5. Murray would be available for Beal. Not so much for a pick in this range
  6. Okongwu is who I am projecting based on what I am hearing to be the 6th pick. That doesn't mean he will be our pick. Shit, we probably still trading it. Washington, Boston, and San Antonio all have their eyes on Okongwu. Boston also is looking at Okoro and Vassell as well in a trade up. This one is looking more and more like New Orleans 2019 with the 4th pick.
  7. If Thibs wants him. I know Dennis Smith Jr. is free free free and some. I don't know if they want to eat money to trade Frank.
  8. While to me this is a strong PG class and a strong top 18 class. Trade wise this is how the class is: The More Pricey Jewels - We have no high clarity diamonds but we have expensive players called the Pricey 3. This is Ball, Wiseman, and Edwards. It's going to cost you a significant asset or two to get one of these players. Last year we had two high clarity diamonds and one super rare jewel only afforded to the most wealthy and extremely coveted (R.J., Ja, and obviously Zion). The Jewels - These are Kay's Jewelry players. They have good trade value and can strike you a future 1st as well as the pick swap. This is Deni A, Killian Hayes, Onyeka Okongwu, and Issac Okoro. There are people who think these could be future All Stars and are willing to trade up for these players. Last year, we had two of them (Garland and Hunter). The eye of the beholders - These players are worth a late 1st and the pick swap. No one is really trying to trade a future 1st in a stronger class for these players even if it's protected. Some teams can see these players being All Stars and what not and some can't but their value is largely based on the eye, not the consensus. These players are Obi Toppin, Tyrese Haliburton, Aaron Neismith, Kira Lewis Jr., Devin Vassell, Patrick Williams, etc. Last year, it was Coby White, Rui, Cam Reddish, Jaxson Hayes, Tyler Herro, P.J. Washington, etc. So if you are looking at just trade value: Ball/Wiseman/Edwards Okoro/Okongwu/Deni/Killian Obi/Hali/Aaron/Kira/Vassell/Pat/etc So Atlanta landed in a good trade spot. #6 wasn't bad at all. Zach ain't getting traded. He was pulled off the market. They didn't like the offers.
  9. There are a lot more sellers than buyers. Some teams will not be able to move their player. Bulls might be left holding the bag on Thad
  10. My personal board. The mock is based off of what I am hearing. Not my board or Toppin wouldn't be at 9
  11. Mock draft. My personal board for the Hawks is 1. Toppin 2. Deni 3. Okongwu 4. Patrick Williams 5. Naismith 6. Devin Vassell 7. Haliburton 8. Hayes 9. Achuiwa 10. S. Bey Ball, Edwards and Wiseman have been removed
  12. Ball has the most trade value Okongwu has the most trade value at our slot, this is a weak center class. Just two lottery prospects. Wizards want a center Suns want to get off Oubre contract.
  13. Based on the information I have without trades which will likely happen: 1. Ball 2. Ant 3. Wiseman 4. Deni 5. Okoro 6. Okongwu 7. Hayes 8. Vassell but trade up likely 9. Toppin but trade up extremely likely 10. Haliburton but trade back extremely likely
  14. People have to remember, we have relationships with Nets (a lot of staffers), Warriors (TS, several members), Knicks (Rose) and a couple others. So when it comes to deals and the draft, we all work together. This is why some teams are preferred teams for trades. They are closer to each other and share more information with them.
  15. Good stuff on the bottom of the 1st because I haven't heard those picks can be had for more than value at this time. Also thanks for the deals in place if we had 1 or 2.
  16. I don't think so honestly. I think it's a cop out. Givony was close to TS. He was saying it's to sell tickets. But honestly, people questioned Luka ability to lead on championship team. It wasn't this no brainer decision for teams who want to rebuild and add talent. If it wasn't for the dumb Knicks and that stupid trade. There is a great chance Dallas would just be Memphis 2.0 right now. Good team with a nice future. Not a young contending type team
  17. It's clearly not about race. Every insider is saying the same. Atlanta wasn't drafting Luka. They wanted Trae. That's what makes what TS saying strange. It's not that they weren't going to take Luka that day as they claimed, it was that, it didn't take much to move Atlanta off #3. We all know when TS wants value he can bargain for days. It seems like @thecampsteris right as well as least to me. All people within keep saying was Atlanta wanted more assets to move down and to land Trae.
  18. TS said he was going to take Luka but my guy says it was going to be Trae. They even promised Trae family which Ray denied as you see here. They just wanted an additional asset he said. That was as far Dallas was willing to go Tony okay Luka tho
  19. Best way to describe it is waves. First wave had the guys like Horford, Oubre, Randle, Prince but just available, no assets. It also had higher profile players that are currently off the market. Hield, Gordon, Dinwiddie, LaVine, etc. Those teams wanted the moon for them and realistically these guys weren't on the market. 2nd wave is recent which we normally don't see, we just get one wave with continuous news. This is a lot of new guys. Guys who teams want to trade to free up cash due to COVID or FA or both. Teams some wanted to evaluate some players and just don't want them no more. And now assets are getting attached to players to free up space. So we are seeing a lot more decent players. Maybe the good players are all gone but the decent players damn near wasn't realistic but now they are. That helps Atlanta a lot as we weren't interested in decent trading assets for players unless it's for a good player like Capela.
  20. This is such an eye of the beholder draft I don't think I seen this site so divided since 2018 but that one wasn't this bad.

Because people actually come from all other sites snooping for info. Some I am not allowed to publicly share

I can't publicly. Some have been rumored recently but I can't say but yes. Atlanta is interested in some, especially if they come with an asset attached and they add value. Literally, just last week, the best possible PG on the market was D.J. Augustin and Shabazz Napier and Augustin was likely to resign with ORL. Now, we got a quality marketplace. I really think teams started to settle at what they will do in the draft and players just became available. Also, some are targeting key FAs and need to get rid of salary as well as resigning some of their own players. There's a number of reasons but Atlanta is at the fontfront. When I say the market for Atlanta was SHIT, I mean it. People of value want to be part of a core, we have a core already and likely adding one more to it from the draft. PT matters to FAs. Things are clearly looking up now.
  23. I can't exactly say as some of this is under wraps but some decent players. Maybe didn't do good as starters but they would be excellent backups. Players that wasn't on the market last week. Even some of the players available could now be had with an asset which was the reason teams or a team didn't care about their availability. If you asked me last week, last month, two months ago before the bubble. I would say that the Hawks really might have a rough bench. Hell, I was promoting Al's bad contract. Not anymore. We got good options now. This will and from what I hear has opened up the Hawks draft substantially. It's going to be a fun draft night and days leading up to it. We could have an excellent bench.
