  1. That's true, others being better around those two will ultimately help those two
  2. It did love JC last year. That is true. What you also have to take into account Trae/JC impact with the PnR was tops in the 2nd half his Trae's rookie year. He was so critical, when he played, JC had us at 8th for offensive rating and without JC, 30th. Yes, 30th. LP said this year would be extremely difficult to replicate that success due to teams understanding of what we do and Trae's PnR abilities as well as JC natural fit with Trae. He was right, teams sold out on the PnR and we really didn't have an effective 2nd strategy. At least in year 2 of their tandem. We did see JC improve a number of aspects on offense which helped when teams took away the PnR stuff so he clearly improved but this is what happens in the NBA.
  3. Its also very telling that player impact metrics love JC and think he's on equal footing to Trae. Both are considered top 50 players but player impact metrics. Player impact metrics see Trae as a While winning impact stats see Trae as a top 15-25 player. All metrics see Trae as a top 5 offensive player in the NBA. But winning impact stats see as a bottom 10 defender while player impact sees him as the worst defensive player in the NBA. For JC, player impact metrics are much higher on him than winning impact metrics. They see JC as a top 25 offensive player while winning impact metrics top 150-160 winning impact guy aka, an non impact player if he plays a major role. No surprise, he is listed with Julius Randle, DeAndre Jordan, and Myles Turner who are favorably comparable players to John. My belief is he's an empty stats guy putting up great numbers on a bad team. He's an ideal #4 option and at his best defending the 5 and playing all over on offense at the 4 as an elite movement specialist. Trae's story speaks for himself. Everyone sees him as a top 5 offensive player right now impact wise. But questions are, is he a #1 option or not is very real but I think he is. His defense must improve. Winning impact metrics are hard on him and player impact metrics just hate him on defense and there is a lot of reasons as to why as well. Overall, it was a tough season for us but I am optimistic next season.

As of right now, yes. That said, I don't agree with Wiseman over Big O. I do agree with Toppin over Big O.

Here's the draft prospects one: Not my best work, I was working on father's day fumes after a very long day. I covered about 10 prospects. When into serious detail with maybe 4 of them. I do plan on doing individual pods on each prospect where I have the data in front of me and I'll be far more analytical in my research. I kinda freelanced this one. https://voca.ro/lwYtwevcR6y Future pods: Covering 2nd year players: What happened to Waffle House Steph and Klay and are they really the next Harden and Gordon instead? Trae and Kevin Capela and Collins - Can this big man tandem be Goldeneye 007 N64 or one of those trash 007 games on Playstation 2 that was terrible? The expected studs who could disappoint or become superstars: Obi Toppin and Tyrese Haliburton Three's Company: The advanced sum of Anthony Edwards, LaMelo Ball, and James Wiseman The dazzling polished young Euros: What could be of Deni A. who I will have his name right on this pod and Killian Hayes These guys will for sure be productive role players but what if they are NBA All Stars: Onyeka Okongwu, Cole Anthony, and Isaac Okoro 2nd round PG's who I really like for the Hawks: This will cover a lot of guys.

No Rome, he ended up getting a new job in Seattle and it make it hard to do podcasts. Here's is the 1st one, it's not 5 mins, more like 31:49 mins. Topic: Hawks Rookies Evals. (Hunter, Reddish, and Fernando). https://voca.ro/9EsBeY1xroJ
  7. Cam literally just grew last summer. LeBron grew from 6'7 without shoes in HS to 6'8.5 without shoes now. These guys are always growing regardless of frame. That's what happens when you are 18-21. Who cares about the majority, these are NBA players. Nothing about them is of the norm. Their wingspans are abnormal to the majority.

@JayBirdHawk @AHF @Spud2nique @Gray Mule @kg01 Here's the latest I got: I got a number of info this morning. Didn't write most of it down so I forget it since I got the little one. Here's the new info - Note: This is from Saturday. I just didn't have time to work on it till tonight. He confirmed Atlanta has a top 10 players they are targeting and he also confirmed that the current list of the 5 of the leads are this: 1. Edwards 2. Okoro 3. Toppin 4. Hali 5. Wiseman He also confirmed that Deni, Okongwu, Ball, Poku, and Hayes not Vassell, Precious, or Anthony are being targeted for our slot between 1-8 overall. He said that the Hawks can be all over the place before workouts saying that JJJ and Culver were top rated till the workouts and private interviews in previous years. We must remember LP and Tony do have a say. Tony is the reason we were down to Doncic and Young when our scouts wanted JJJ. Like I said before, Tony saved our 2018. I got info on five teams in the lottery. Golden State - They are pushing the NBA for teams not in Orlando to see players at their facilities in limited capacity for scouting reasons. There is a chance this could pass, would do wonders for the Hawks as well. Seems like everyone is pushing things through GS who have great favor with the NBA at this time for obvious reasons. Golden State favorites from what I got was 1. Edwards 2. Haliburton 3. Okongwu 4. Toppin 5. Deni I heard they are out on Wiseman but he's in their top 10. They are open to moving the pick for a vet. MIN I heard their top 5 but no order: Hayes, Ball, Haliburton, Toppin, and Edwards Chicago Same like MIN: Ball, Hayes, Haliburton, Toppin, and Edwards CHAR Same like MIN and CHI: Ball, Edwards, Wiseman, Okongwu, and Anthony. I heard Mike likes Cole. The question is would they take him knowing they got Graham and Rozier. I heard they will take BPA unless Wiseman is available. Cleveland top 5 as it was told is 1. Wiseman 2. Toppin 3. Deni 4. Ball 5. Edwards I heard they are also looking at both Edwards and Okoro as well heavily as top picks. NY and DET are in transition, there top 5 isn't really much right now he said. So is CHI but their new President of BBALL OPS is liking these guys. I am hearing they are really targeting a PG. I heard they would love Ball, Hayes, or Haliburton. I am creating a short clip cast tonight. Check it out...
  9. Wiseman has never been high when the draftnik community. He's been high with the scouting and GMs community though.
  10. I don't know about any of these three guys. He plays such a modern style of Basketball like Harden and Oladipo
  11. No one makes sense for us like Edwards. Toppin does for one end of the court as does Hali. Okoro will take mad time. Deni Avdija can play but idk. Wiseman, men for me at least.
  12. Maybe, looks about 6'6 with shoes in the clip. Kids are always growing at this age
  13. Wiseman for Toppin then Wiseman for Poku
  14. The Hawks like Hali from what I heard recently. I mentioned it in the Ask Supes thread. Not as much as GS does though
  15. Offer John 16 million aav for security do your dance Travis

I was assuming on that statement. I don't know if he interviewed yet. I just don't know why his stock improved with us I know they want to. GS feels they will be able to as things open up. Atlanta didn't seem optimistic the last time I heard LP on this topic.

I am not sure. PG's range is extreme in this draft because of PG depth is elite in this class. Idk honestly what this means for BG. I know the coaches and players like BG.

I just got info on Okoro. Hawks like his versatility, his tools, physical traits, mental traits, first step, explosiveness, two way ability, and talent level. They think he has star potential. Wiseman. Speed, tools, length, potential, and size is a rare combination and hard to find. Edwards: Tools, athletic ability, skill level, talent, size, fit for backup role gives Atlanta a lot of flexibility. They see a potential star with modern skills they covet. Hali: Shooting, BBIQ, passing, PDS, impact, and skill level. They see a player who can truly help us win games at a difficult position to find depth. I asked why Hayes isn't super high and Atlanta questions the fit with Trae and Hayes potential overall.

I don't know. This is the first time I am hearing they really like Wiseman. I know I don't really like him. I am Team Okongwu. I knew they liked Okoro but it seems to be more real even now. It seems like his interview went well. They always liked Toppin which isn't a surprise, both GS and Atlanta loved Obi during the season. Obi issue is GS wants their 5 to be a great interior defender who fits. Obi doesn't fit even if he's a perfect fit offensively. I asked him about an hour ago why Big O has fallen out of favor with Atlanta and GS to a degree. He says both teams aren't sold on his upside but don't get it twisted, if GS falls to 5 and Halli is not available, he could be the target but not to the degree that Hali has moved up for GS. Hali is GS #2 overall prospect. I asked what Atlanta likes about Obi and the response I got is upside, offensive fit, and offensively impact. He said GS likes the same things but view Toppin as a 5. Atlanta views him as a 4. For the top 9: Team highest on Toppin is Cleveland. Teams highest on Edwards is GS, Atlanta, Charlotte, and MIN Teams highest on Ball: Bulls, DET, NY Team highest on Haliburton: GS Team highest on Okoro: ATL Teams highest on Wiseman: CLE, DET, CAR, WAS This draft could go any direction. While teams have their guys, I was told teams aren't open to move up in this draft and are fine staying in place. I really think Atlanta will go BPA.

I got some insight this morning but I can only share so much. The players are all on the same page right now, they will only play if the NBA agrees to a number of items. At first, it was a small group but even LeBron is behind it now. It seems like the NBA will have do a lot more than made Juneteenth a holiday. The NBA teams who aren't invited are still trying to do something to stay involved even if it don't count. They are using that's other teams are getting a competitive advantage that's more than just 8 more games plus some. I don't know what it maybe but the NBA will workout something for those teams like us. Teams big board around the league is shaping out with Edwards #1, Wiseman #2, Ball #3, Toppin #4, and Hayes #5. But values are all over the place in general. Some teams have Edwards as low as #12. Some teams have Wiseman in that range as well. Ball as low as 10. Toppin/Haliburton/Anthony/Avdija/Vassell have the most shaky projections. Each have been as low as the early 20s. I asked, who was like this last year who was a highly rated prospect, I was told Reddish/Langford/Nassir Little/Clarke/Goga. He said all five was as low as the 20s last year on some boards. For us last year, no lie, Reddish was #5, Hunter was #4 on our big board but Reddish was more wanted I was told but Hunter was needed. He said Hayes/Okongwu/Okoro are all locked into the lottery for most teams. The Nassir Little/Bruno Fernando Award where he has the biggest swings in terms of stock is Neismith/Oturu/Joe. For all of the players, here's the latest: Edwards is getting a lot of top 10 teams love and hardly any love outside of the top 10. Playoff teams are down on Edwards. Many saying Ball is clearly a better get as well as Wiseman. Wiseman is getting a massive boost of late. I am not sure why but it's like Garland, when you have less tape, teams just project more and he's really benefiting from it. I was told he's getting top 5 grades from most of the top 10 teams. I asked if he was high on Atlanta's board, I was told he was and they are interested. I was told he wasn't high on Golden State's board. Minny been a hater of this draft, down on a number of guys including Wiseman. Toppin is getting a lot of top 3 love but teams that hate him, hate him and he's been as low as 20 and 24. He said, his stock is due to some teams thinking he's a bad defensive fit at PF, he said, some teams think he will be terrible on that end and some think he got some potential. Just needs to be developed. Was told, he's low on Golden State's board. Extremely low on Minny board. Exceptionally high on Cleveland's board. Atlanta, New York, and Detroit are very interested in Toppin. He said, Toppin is #2 on Cleveland's board behind Wiseman. I was shocked but he said, Cleveland plans on using Drummond as a trade asset in 2020 and want a vet to start so Wiseman doesn't. Ball is getting a lot of great and negative feedback. Teams who love him think he's the top prospect, teams who don't clearly don't. Even for teams in the market for a backup PG, I was told those teams like Haliburton and Hayes more. The Knicks, Wolves, and Bulls are the highest on Ball. It's wide open this year. Big O, my personal favorite is not high on the Hawks BB is what I was told. I didn't get reasoning. Okoro wants Atlanta and Atlanta loves Okoro. He has a legit shot at being the pick. The Hawks love his package, athleticism and potential but they have questions about his shot. Haliburton is a big mover. I was told today the Hawks really like him. Not as much as the Warriors but Hali is moving up the boards. Many teams think he's the best PG in this draft. Some think he's a wing and he's mid-to-late 1st for them. Anthony is getting a lot of love when teams go back to HS film. He and I think he will be a top 10 pick even if some top 10 teams are down on him. He tells me, it's very likely. He said Deni is either loved or hated. No inbetween, he said he should be a lottery pick but where? Vassell and Neismith are fighting to be the 2nd SG taken and some teams love Neismith and many don't but Vassell is getting a lot of lottery and mid 1st love. He said Atlanta is really focusing on drafting a PG in the 2nd round. He thinks Atlanta could stay or move up for one. He said he thinks Atlanta will draft Okoro based on his information and projected slot but could take Toppin. He said Wiseman and Haliburton are others to keep your eyes on. Said Edwards is Atlanta's top guy. No shock or surprise. Said Hayes isn't as high on our board as he is on some other teams but he's not high for GS either. He said GS and ATL been almost in a partnership with these prospects. He seems to think Okoro is our guy with Toppin being close. Pearl wants Okoro in Atlanta as does Okoro himself.

  22. I can tell ya'll that this is NOT on the table whatsoever.
  23. He honestly can play both positions. He's about Paul Pierce size, just a tad shorter.
