    Well, what now?

Trade Sap. Or unless you want to lose him next year for nothing too.
  2. Should have rebuilt. Should have traded Horford and Sap. Dumb dumb dumb dumb dumb!
  3. We might as well trade Sap too. Told you guys we should have went the draft way. Hopefully Schröder and Dwight can be stars.
  4. About trying to trade ya............ Pie meet face. Are we really going to max Sap now or still trade him? Officially traded Jeff Teague and Al Horford for Dwight Howard at the #12 pick.

    Horf to Boston

And now we will max Sap at 32 years old.
  6. UM..........................SAP...............................we still love ya! This franchise.

    Horf to Boston

LOL Read the Celtics RealGM board. One page was "F Horford and the Hawks" to "WTF? Yes!!!!!!!!"
  8. I'd ask for Jaylen Brown and the Brooklyn pick, but I doubt that would happen.
  9. an expiring 32 year old for a top 3 pick isn't a good deal? What do you want?
  10. Well for 1 we need the cap to re-sign Al. 2, it's most a likely a top 3 pick in a great upcoming draft. We can find our superstar.
  11. Millsap to a panicked Boston for the Brooklyn pick please!
  12. Hope we get a good young wing from a sap trade.
  13. It's good to trade him. Many offers. Turning 32, shoudn't max him.
  14. The Spurs way was a successful one, but today's NBA, the successful (championship level) team structure is different. It's get a star. Then what you do see, is add more stars. Keep adding so many stars that people question how do you even have the cap for this. Load up on talent so much, that any mock 'let's play together u guyz!' Spurs-lite team would be crushed by. That's today's NBA. The Spurs even see that a bit.
  15. So for the people mocking my strategy (this topic), how would you have built the team? Here's the scenario, you signed Howard and Bazemore. Cap room filled. Horford leaves, Sap is turning 32 and want a max next off-season. Go.
  16. I meant purposely suck. We could suck this year for all we know.
  17. Well if you traded Horford at the deadline like he suggested, to say like Boston, got what became Jaylen Brown. Add the #12 we got for Teague and our own. Then traded Sap and Korver for draft picks in 2017, you would have already had a start.
  18. Should have did a quick rebuild, trade Sap for pick(s), suck for a year, get a couple of top lottery selections in a good draft next year. Heck, if we traded Horford at the deadline for a top pick from this past draft (traded to Boston which became the 3rd pick), we could have already had a Dennis/Jaylen Brown/our picks to look forward to. Instead we will now have Dwight Howard with a 22 year old PG, and aging Korver, an expiring Millsap that could walk next summer or we pay the 32 year old the max, and a freshly signed 70 mil Bazemore. Oh and a couple of rookies.
  19. Well, for starters, you have to decide if you want to max a 32 year old Millsap next off-season. See, I prefer Sap over Horford next to Dwight, but would rather have Horford signed to a max than Sap. So, should we trade Sap, regardless on if Horford stays or leaves? Should we roll with Sap for 1 year, then let him walk too?
  20. Something about telling Horford if we are trading Sap and what we would get back is wrong to me. He can then bolt, and know that we almost traded Sap for him and for what. Sap wouldn't want to know that info, that we prefer Horford over him, I'm sure.
