He's expiring and wanting a huge contract from someone. If he pulls back on his play or causes a disruption (won't happen) just because his 'trust' with the team is broken, wouldn't he hurt that next contract chances of being a max? Either way, Hawks have him for 1 more year. If we sign a 32 year old to a 5 year max contract, that would be the ultimate problem.

And he's right. Warriors have shown they can win without Durant, West, or any other future ring chaser. But now, Durant will try to put his face on any future championship they win, like he was the reason. He's as much of a ring chaser as Ray Allen coming out of retirement. And the funny thing is, if he stayed, Horford would have come over. Westbrook/Oladipo/Durant/Horford/Adams would have had a great chance. Durant's legacy is = to buying a ring off eBay.

Cuban to pull a Jordan himself, pull out of the Bogut trade, max offer to Whiteside. (keep Barnes though, screw GS). GS stuck with Bogut. Durant, free agent. Please happen.

Could Mavs go back on their trade (since nothing has been official yet) for Bogut to sign Whiteside? That would then cause GS not to be able to afford Durant.

Does Mavs have cap still? They stay desperate. Justice would be who they keep if they rebuild. Dragic would probably be the 1st to be moved.

There might be a mini trade shake-up if Wade signs with the Bulls. Woj has said Riley is lining up contingency plans if Wade bolts. So bring on some NBA trades!

OKC would just cut us out of that trade. They would be rebuilding if they traded Westbrook, why would they send Ingram to us for 32 year old Millsap?

Schröder is the only young asset we have (and sadly our only hope for the future). We have done a horrible job collecting assets to trade for a star. For a team who wants to stay competitive, so won't tank for a drafted star, nor can get top guys to sign as free agents, you would think trades would be how we do it. Yet when you throw away draft picks it's hard to trade for a star when you have nothing that teams in need of a rebuild would want.

Westbrook is my favorite non-Hawk. Would be ecstatic to have him. But, there is literally no way Thunder would trade him for any package we have. To add to that, Westbrook probably would like to go to a LA or NY destination, and I don't blame him.
