I don’t get it. Seems like we have more injuries with load management in today’s game than when players played more back in the day. What gives? Nutrition and training have gotten like 1000x better. I mean.. I dunno 🤷‍♀️

More lateral movement is a contributing factor.

These last couple of games don't prove much(small sample size), but they do open the door up more to Quin and Landry(if they didnt already know) that the Trae-Murray fit is one of the primary problems.........

It's not the only problem of course, but their offensive games don't compliment each other very well IMO.

They dont pick up the slack for what the other is bad at on the offensive end.

Both are good facilitators, but neither is a great knock down shooter(streaky), or plays that well off the ball. It makes it tough for them to feed off one another, so they just take turns on offense.

And defensively, its just a damn disaster..

Trae likes playing with chuckers/scorers. Michael Porter Jr, Bogi, Gallo, even AJ played well next to him. It's not pretty when guys play too methodical.

His screen navigation is some of the best I've seen, he moves like water on defense, it's beautiful.  I think the time in College Park was probably well spent refining his game, and for his confidence

He leads with his hips/core and lower body and is very fluid. Deandre tries to play like that at times but he's too stiff. Can't wait to see Mouhamed Gueye, all the players gas him up too much for him not to be good player.

Hawks can potentially turnaround this embarrassment of a season next year if they draft the right players and beef up the bench.

damn that's the best i've seen trae execute out of a trap. Excellent end to the half

Jalen's the only guy who naturally occupies that area that gets opened up when he gets trapped. JC tried to do it, but was a poor decision maker when the ball would find him.

That Clint was a role playing superstar. Limited but extremely impactful. We noticed a massive difference when he wasn't on the floor even if on the floor, it was sometimes shaky.

The next two years were filled with injuries.

This year, he's been healthy but just isn't the same athlete and that's the difference. His BBIQ and skills have improved. You can Clearly see he's healthy. But he ain't the same athlete he used to be. The speed just ain't there anymore.

Plus the vertical spacing. The pnr floater/lob threat can't be spammed every play anymore.

Man JJ should have been given significant minutes his rookie season. Can’t imagine where he’d be right now had he been playing a bigger role.

I don’t miss collins at all cause everything I felt we needed from the 4 , JJ possessed those skills. Outside of shooting anyways but I wouldn’t put it past JJ that it won’t be added to his arsenal.

JC was more of a high percentage shooter vs output even when he was shooting well. 40% shooting is nice, but it's a bit like fools gold when you only take 3 a game and you're not contested.

  7. Never-mind sticking, King Kong will never even get acknowledged as a potential nickname. If you want him to drop Big O, you're gonna have to think of something different.

Clint is a good player for what he can do.  What he can do though is going to be a dinosaur in the game soon.  It’s going to be hard to function in the modern NBA with a big that cannot play on the perimeter.

OO is the he model for the new age center.  He’s a player that can guard 1-5 on the perimeter.  He has inherent shooting ability that has not been encouraged during his career.  He can rebound.  He can rim protect.  He can be a pick and roll roll man as well as a pick and pop big.

He can also make quick decisions/reads with the ball

  9. I expect a good year from Hunter this season. If he doesn't add much over the offseason, I'd still expect a better season than last year just cause of the coaching change. Having Quin being able to put him in actual spots on the floor that would suit his scoring profile would make a big difference for him.
