  1. Love Shabazz. If we could send Teague+Musky for Dieng+Shabazz id love it.
  2. Who said he starts? I was thinking we send the Spurs a 2nd for them to clear some space to sign Mike Conley this offseason and then we could send Teague to Milwaukee,NYK,or Minnesota for Parker,Affalo,or a package of Shabazz+Dieng. Then our lineup would be... PG-Schröder,Mills SG-Korver,Hardaway,Patterson SF-Sefolosha,Shabazz PF-Millsap,Scott,Muscala C-Horford,Dieng,Humphries So they can sign Conley. To clear cap.
  3. Alright alright alright. My tears have been cried and now we look forward to the offseason. With that in mind I have an idea for our highly debated PG debacle.... Rumor is the San Antonio Spurs and their little youth movement isn't as great as they'd hoped. Granted the best record in Spurs history is quite impressive , they ran outta gas coming down the stretch in the postseason. And it really showed vs OKC. So with that the rumor is they're going to be targeting Mike Conley this summer. So that leaves either Tony Parker and Patty Mills (more than likely Mills) up for grabs. With this in mind would y'all send a 2nd to the Spurs for Patty that way we can feel more safe with trading Teague?
  4. But is he a guy that'll get you a ring? That's the question with Melo.
  5. Nope. Melo couldn't play in this system.
  6. Starting SG..... Insert one of 3 names.... 1.Butler 2.Beal 3.Affalo
  7. Kept Schröder dump Teague. That game 4 was almost foreshadowing what's to come.... In the biggest game of the season Teague bowed out while Dennis stepped up. And in the closing minutes he have is a fighting chance as he hit clutch shot after clutch shot. Not his fault the refs blew 2 calls down the stretch to give CLE the sweep.
  8. Sap is on a short term deal. It is very friendly to our situation at hand and I'm sure once it's up he'll resign again for a cheaper cost. I expect Al to do the same and be loyal to ATL. However the MAIN THING we must do is get rid of the guys who are a waste of cap space. And by that I mean.... Muscala=1,000,000 Splitter=8,000,000 Teague=8,000,000 Baze=2,000,000 Hinrich=3,000,000 and maybe possibly even Hardaway (1,300,000) that right their gives you 22mil to shop around with.....
  9. Zaza is the only one who would help. Maybe Ezeli but he could be looking at a nice pay raise.
  10. Ok say we blow it up. Trade Sap and Teague, let Horf and Baze walk and our starting lineup next season is... PG-Schröder SG-Korver SF-Sefolosha PF-Scott C-Splitter 6th-Hardaway Ok that's a possible 8 seeded team if lucky, but not bad enough to be a top 5 lottery team. Then what? We're stuck in Knicks territory trying to provoke superstars with "promise" instead of having something concrete to give them. See with the guys we got now Horf,Sap,etc. we can at least get consideration because that's all we are... One superstar away from being legit contenders. Now until we do lure it you're dang right I wanna keep the group in tact because we can still compete and so we can have something to offer those top level guys if we ever do have the opportunity to get those guys here to contend
  11. Yes they might have HOFers. But we can't be just willy nilly throwing our core away for something that might not even work in the end.
  12. Great post. And that's something I can agree with. I want us to pursue that greatness you speak of, but I'm being bluntly honest here... This free agent pool aside from a slim few players just isn't for us. I mean lets get real here the ONLY way we're acquiring elite talent this season is 1 of 2 ways... Either 1. Trade for someone like PG13 or Butler or 2.Hope by some miracle KD decides he wants to play here. Aside from that the FA's we as fans are considering are laughable as "fits" for this team. D12?!?!? Seriously? Dwight Howard is the guy we're leaning on to put us over the top?
  13. Very good. And what do all those teams have in common? They stuck with their guns. Sure it might've took them a while to get where they are, but they stuck to what they began with. And I bet if you asked any fan of those when this is all said an done and the champion is crowned if they'd like to try an rebuild they'd say absolutely not. Why? Because they know what they have is good. And that's what I see in this Hawks team. Is is our team perfect? Nope sure isn't, but is it really bad enough to start from scratch when we're literally 1 all star wing away from being legitimate contenders?
  14. Spoken like Bobby himself. Lol. Look I want them to win one too. I watched Atlanta teams fumble away too many chances. Hawks last season (even tho that was more health related more than anything),Falcons in 2012,Braves all the time lol. I'm ready for a championship, but like I said at the beginning of the thread it's a mix. And while we must keep the critical pieces together we must also add to the fold. Read post above
  15. Question. Aside from Cleveland can you tell me how those good teams were built majorly?
  16. Hey man I get it. But just believe in the process. It'll see through.
  17. Is it getting the band back together or reloading for another shot? I think the best thing we can do right now is keep the core together. Don't just blow it up for possible disaster.
  18. I get that. We were an Eastern Conference Finals Team and this season we lose in round 2. But make no mistake this was definite improvement. We took the supposedly unstoppable big 3 theyve assembled in Cleveland to 3 competitive games. And with that we had a less talented team. And yeah it sucks to get the broom, but I think this team learned something that we've failed to recognize as fans FROM Cleveland. Save that energy for the postseason.
  19. I can understand the dissapointment. The dissapointment that sinks in when you lose to the same dickhead 12 times in a row in the postseason, but we grew a lot in these playoffs. For example.... 1.We flexed our muscles against a clearly inferior team in Boston in round 1. They were supposedly equal to us before the postseason began, but we used that veteran experience to rise above it and close out a series when it was nodded at 2 a piece. However in comparison to last season we seemed lost at times just trying to find out how to win. Much like Toronto this season against near the same opponent level. 2.Schröder grew big time. Say what you will about German Chocolate but he grew up in a BIG WAY this postseason. He went toe to toe in back to back series against 2 of the best PGs in the game. He even showed us his ability to be that guy that gets under the skin of others and say what you want but that's necessary in some series. 3.Bud mightve just learned in the I always 2 games that maybe benching Kyle isn't such a bad idea. 4.And lastly the group grew together. And they'll continue to do so. Y'all can call it stubborn or whatever but Bud knows that the biggest key in creating a team that competes on a consistent basis is one that is built together and stays together. Longevity is the word. And yes the result might look bad now losing in sweeps back to back seasons to Lebron, but we'll get our crack at it and in time. Hopefully sooner rather than later we'll get that ring for Atlanta.
  20. .... Call it how you see it, but I feel as if it's something we can build from.
  21. And just to further my point. We just witnessed the biggest game of the Atlanta Hawks season and would you take a gander at which PG stepped up? Schröder.
  22. Far off from being the team that's comes outta the east. We just lost in 4 to Cleveland with a team everyone agrees was less talented than last years. Not only that, but we were MILES more competitive than last season against a better Cleveland team.
