Our competiton in the East(the Cletics) have just gotten better with the acquisiton of Vin Baker and Shammond Williams. They were already better than us now this helps them even more. I thought Ira would have been signed to a contract by now.We might as well cut the spot for Leon because he isn't going to make the team. Futhermore if Eric Mussleman leaves the Hawks who replaces him? We already have to get some one to replace Mahorn,so we would have 2vacant coaching spots.

I like Mash but something is always wrong with him(strain abdomen, unknown virus that causes him to miss playoffs). I thought Magloire was okay,but he couldn't even guard Todd Macculloch in the playoffs.

I have a question that I have been wondering about. Why is it that a good PG like Vaughn can't get a long term deal or a deal that's more than the vetran's minimum? How can a guy like Brevin Knight(I like Brevin,this is no derespect)Who is no better of a player to me than Jacque get a big contract for 4 years 20million and he is more undersized than Vaughn. Is it that Cleveland was stupid in giving Knight that kind of money or is Brevin better at making decisions on the floor than JV.

Dermarr will not become a better ballhandler until he decides to stay low with the ball while he is dribbling. I am pretty sure the coaches have told him this,heck I even remember Mike Glenn commenting that DJ needs to stay low with the ball to have more control of his dribble and to keep it from getting batted away. Maybe Dermarr needs to spend sometime during the offseason with George Gervin like Dion didin the past or have Mark Price come in and tutor him, doesn't seem like Lon is getting through to him.

If you watched the entire game today, there was a segment where one of the commentators held up a Hawks T-shirt that read "Playoff Bound". What did yall think about that? Anyone going to purchase one when it becomes available?

Yeah, I agree but he just caught a lob pass for a dunk from Dickau. The announcers are saying DJ isn't ready when he gets the ball. I guess they mean he doens't know whether he want to shoot it or drive. They also said that in the 1st half it seemed like he was sulking because he wasn't getting the ball. I was watching some of the Spurs vs the Magic game today. I had turned away from the game at one point when I turned back they were doing a interview with Brevin Knight. He was saying something about wanting to be a GM someday in the NBA. Did anybody else see this?

Okay here is my opinion on Hawksfreak and his 411 . 1. I think that if he does know Pete Babcock it is through one of his parents. He makes it sound like Pete is his personal friend but it is probably through his dad that he knows him. 2. I think some of his information is true,but he isn't telling us the whole story. 3. There is just a chance he may be in Boston because he told Jaywalker he didn't see him at the game, and Jason said he didn't go to Boston. I don't think I would tell someone I didn't see them at a place if I wasn't there myself.

Diesel, you Dolfan and Uga should lighten up on lil Mike, I mean he is only acting and talking his age which is 12 years old.

I don't really want Spree with us mainly because he is getting old. What is he about 32 or 33years old? He would only be a short term solution for us, any deal would not only have to help us now,but have future benefits as well.

The article didn't say that Dickau wasn't quick. It stated that despite him not getting his legs off the ground he still can shoot the jumper quickly and accurately. I love the things in the article about Dermarr. I am rooting for Dermarr all the way and can't wait to see the game on ESPN2 this wednesday.

It will take some time for him to develop a post up game since he hasn't been playing that way at all. I don't about Dermarr doing a fadeaway jumper, he appears so stiff in the knees. At times his movements do not appear fluid, the same goes for his dribbling. I am just hoping next year he gets better at slashing to the basket. That would help his game tremendously.

I know this is kind of a silly topic in that morally JT is a better person than AI and AI is the better ball player. On the other hand, JT isn't "The boy next door". I like JT but don't try to make him out to be "Mr inncoent." Believe it or not but JT has a "Thug side" to him as well,maybe not to the point of Iverson but it is there. I will point out some examples: 1. Getting involved in the scuffle between Reef & Kenny Thomas. Yeah I know he was trying to help out his teammate but the fight was between Reef & Thomas and not JT. Futhermore JT swings and hits Eddie Griffin from behind who wasn't bothering Shareef. 2. JT was one of the few guys on the team who hung out with Rider away from the court, when Rider was with the Hawks. We know what kind of person Rider was and probably still is,and they always say "Birds of a feather flock together".3. JT took money from an agent while in college. I know alot of players in college have done this but it is just to prove my point that JT isn't as innocent as he might seem.

I hope DJ finds his game and keeps his postive attitude because we sure need his talent.

Hawksfreak Michael Redd isn't included in the deal only Big Dog. It would take 3 of our guys just to get Glenn Robinson straight up we could get a young talent by signing one of the guys from the summer leagues like Simon or Carr.

What if we sent Henderson,Crawford and Glover to Milwaukee for Glenn Robinson & a future 1st or 2nd rounder? Milwaukee does it because they would like to start Thomas at SF and they get rid of Big Dog's contract plus they get a backup SG in Dion if Redd leaves via free agency then they get better help at PF with Alan Henderson. This creates a log jam at PF for them with Mason, Caffey and Hendu but they could move Mason over to Sf or they could trade Caffey if need be. Atlanta could then go out and sign Scott Williams to backup Shareef at PFand backup Theo and Nazr as the 3rd string Center. We could use our final spot(this is if we sign Ira) and sign one of our summer league guys like Miles Simon or Chris Carr. What do you think?

SOme interesting stuff in this article. One being is that Dion is one of the players we want to get rid of,but he needs to elevate his stock in order to be traded. The other issue is that "Problem Child" Leon Smith has left Atlanta and went back home to Chi Town, and could possibly not come back. All I say is that frees up more roster space for the team, now if only we could move Hendu, Toni, and Davis.
