We all know Lue is nothing but a backup and Anderson is past his time..Why not see if Diaw and Ivy can play..I personally believe Diaw has some potential..Ivy, I still can't believe we selected him over Duhon.

Not only about Woodson's ability to utilize his talents but in general about Woodsons decision making process..For example, why does Woodson insist on playing one of his awful centers all the time. Collier is just awful, Drobs has the game of a 6'3" shooting guard(all outside shooting , NO DEFENSE, NO REBOUNDING), Ekezzie has a 1" vertical leap, and might hit 30 percent if he shot all by himself about 2 feet from the basket. Why not just let Walker play the 5, have Harrington at the 4, Smoove and Chills at the 3, Delk as much as possible at the 2, and let Diaw and Ivy split time at the point. Walker has at least as much of a chance to defend the post as Drobs or Collier, he would make the opposing center work on defense, and is a much better rebounder than either one. Harrington could play what appears to be his more natural 4 spot, and we don't hold back the developement of the young guys..Why not let Diaw and Ivy play alot to see if either has any future..Lue has a decent game occasionally but is obviously nothing more than a backup in this league. Anderson needs to go, and Donta needs a few minutes..Lets see what these guys can do..

We never play a game that means a damn thing..It is a huge surprise if we actually win..The only topics discussed here, among the very best of Hawks fans, are who's salary we can dump, how high we can get in the lottery, and who will we select with that pick..Hell, some people here are already talking about NEXT YEARS lottery and who we can get then..Does anyone else here actually wish we could be talking about playoff standings, homecourt advantages, or a meaningful game against a division rival?..I know, BK said it might take 5 years to retool..I think that is a load of crap, that is just someone setting extremely low expectations so nothing will be expected of them. It didn't take Indy, Detroit, or Miami 5 years to become competitive, why should we expect any less for the Hawks?

He looks like the real deal, he is big, fluid, tough, competition tested, and loaded with post moves..He reminds me a little of Kevin McHale with his lost post assortment. While Bogut looks like the best all around big man in the draft Josh Boone looks like the best defensive big man..I would really rather go big early then pick up a point guard later..The draft is so loaded with point guards we may be able to get one in the 2nd round..

And it made no difference in players wanting to come to a horrible team..And, in case you haven't noticed, we don't play hard every game, about 1 in 3 we get literally blown off the court..And if, BK didn't tell Stotts to tank the season, he should be fired, cause that was the whole purpose of gutting the team, to get a better pick.

It looked like Walker and Lue were lecturing Harrington as they walked off the court, I have a feeling that was supposed to be Harringtons play.

Swifts game is basically the just like Smooves, and he is 4 years into the league..He has abosolutely no offensive skills.

Nazr salary was not a burden on the team, and while he may not be a star, he all, by himself puts up better numbers than Collier, Drob, and Willis combined..Bk could have also made it very clear to Stotts last year, DO NOT WINNNNN..That would have been easy since it is a very common practice in the NBA to tank for a better draft pick..As for Smooth, we would have had at least a top 17 pick last year even if we didn't trade anyone..We may not have Chills, but Smoove would have been around for BK to take.

If we actually pulled this trade off, how would we keep Artest from poisoning the attitude of our babies..The Smiths, Chills, Ivy, and 2 or 3 more young guys next year need some decent veteran influence..Even if you don't care for Walkers game there is no doubt he is a quality person, and if you love Artests game, there is no doubt he is a lunatic..I hope the only way we do this trade is if there is something else for us..I would take Artest, Pollard, and either a number 1 this year or Harrison, for Walker, and a number 2 from us..If we do it without either the number 1 or Harrison, then we risk trading Walker for 1 year of Pollard and have nothing else to show for the trade if Artest goes nuts again..I think it is widely believed that if Artest has anymore incidents he might get a lifetime ban.

As we watch our team desperately need a PG and a C we should remember the self proclaimed "basketball expert" BK, traded both of them(DD and Nazr) away last year for basically nothing..Everytime I see one of the "BK is an genius" posts I am amazed..It does not take a genius to dump salary to try to be bad..Dumping salary and remaining competitive is the trick..Then when you factor in that along with the high salaries, we dumped some reasonably priced young players at positions that are hard to fill, it does not sound so genius to me.

Deng is 2 years YOUNGER than Chills, and already is much better..

To anyone that says, give Chills time, he will be better than Deng, he is 2 years older than Deng and not as good, its not even close..Deng is only 7 months older than Smoove..

So far.. The good: *Cleared cap space(which so far we can't give away) *Got completely lucky Smoove was there at 17 *Traded SJax for Harrington The bad: *Drafted Chills over Deng *Drafted Ivy over Duhon *Traded Nazr(a decent center when they are so hard to come by) for a mid 2nd(basically for nothing) *Instead of signing someone like Damon Jones or Bobby Sura, wasting our time with the likes of Kenny Anderson and Jon Barry.(Remember last season he signed Jacque Vaughn over Damon Jones and others) *Signed Collier to more than a one year deal. *Let Hansen go for nothing. *Blew up the team last season with the hopes of a top draft choice, then not telling the coach and the team to tank it..Instead, we played our way to the 6th pick instead of a 1 or 2.Remember we finished one game in front of the Clips which ended up getting the 2nd choice.(Sure would be nice to have Okafur) Not good or bad: *Drafting Diaw..He has skills he just refuses to use them. *Hiring Woodson..Who knows if he can coach with this bunch. With a few different decisions we could have a team of ?? *Duhon, SJax, Deng, Walker, Nazr *Duhon, Terry, Deng, Harrington, Nazr You would still have Smoove, still have Donta, still have DRob to backup the 5, we would be in pretty good shape. I think either of those easily puts you in the playoffs, you still have alot of capspace, and you still are building WITHOUT being an embarassment..You know, on draft night I was screaming for Deng , then I was screaming for Duhon, along with 4 other huge Hawks fans, and none of us are "Experts" like BK says he is..

You would have to have something Chicago really needs, we don't. The Bulls are the best looking young team I have seen in a long time..Now that Curry has come into his own, they are gonna get better and better..They have size, athletic ability, shooters, good veteran leadership, and good coaching..They don't need anything we could offer.

So what, we get killed anyway, we are awful, we need to develope our young guys not play 42 year olds.

He drafted Chills over Deng,he drafted Ivy over Duhon..He traded a servicable center in Nazr for nothing..So far his track record is very questionable.

Why do we activate 42 year old Kevin Willis and send 20 year old Donta to the IL????Just release Kevin, make him a coach and let the kids play..That is so pointless.;

He has..Tremendous atheletic ability, great instincts for the ball that result in very good rebounding and shotblocking.. He lacks..Absolutely any ball handling ability and he has very small hands for his size so that does not bode well for alot of developement in that area..He also has a very poor outside shot, this can be improved .. Overall..His natural skillset and size are much more in line with a Shawn Kemp type of 4, than a Dominique style 3. I know the "we want another Nique crowd" will think I am critisizing Smoove. That is far from the case, I just see a great scoring ,atheletic, rebounding, defensive 4 in Smoove..To play the 3 you need to be able to handle the ball pretty well and shoot with decent consistency..

Sure, and most here thought Dermar Johnson would be a star too..For every star player that is drafted in the lottery there are 3 or 4 misses..To completely depend on getting good through the lottery is just stupid..Look at the Clippers, how many top 5 picks have they had and how many playoff appearances?

For about 5 years..I really was hoping we wouldn't take 5 years to get to .500..

My problem is BK costructing a horrible team..Our point guards suck, our centers can't rebound or defend at all, and we don't have anything that resembles a 2 guard..Bk created a huge mess and his only answer seems to be to lose and hope to get lucky..We might as well trade Walker, see what we can get for him, that would guarantee very few wins and cement us as at least the 2nd worse team..

Please help me, I don't see a LeBron on the horizon this year..Trying to get lucky in the lottery is a LOSERS game..

When they do nothing that a center is supposed to do? They can't defend the 5, they can't rebound a lick, I just don't understand why we don't go with a small lineup..We should play Chills, Smoove, Harrington, and Walker along with whichever horrible point guard we decide to play..Collier and Drob both suck.

BK has assembled a team that will lose, I guess he is holding out hope for the miraculous lottery pick that will turn the hawks around.. Our best 4 players, Chills, Smoove, Harrington and Walker are all basically 3/4 tweeners. We can say Smoove is a 3, or Chills is a 2, but their games are all those of a 3/4 tweener. We have the worst centers and point guards in basketball, and we have no outside shooters except Delk. This is truely a horrible team..
