  1. Anderson played in 31 games last year, and 2 the year before. He hasn't played a complete season since his early Boston days..Knight hasn't played in more than 56 games in 4 years..I say that equals injury prone..
  2. Together they might make a decent combination..They are both injury prone so playing them limited minutes would be good. Ivy would have 2 capable mentors..Just a thought
  3. Cause we are stuck with his no defense playing, no rebounding, no shot blocking, poor shooting, making 2 million a year ass..
  4. 41% the year before..That is not a good shooter. So..if you can't shoot, you can't rebound, and you can't play defense, and can't block shots you are a decent center? Like we used to say about Koncak..he's tall and thats all....
  5. Signed with the Raps, 2 years 1.7 to 2 million with incentives..Damn, thought he would be a nice fit for us, long, athletic, young, and cheap. I don't understand BK saying he wants to be long and athletic, then wasting money on a guy like DROB while making no attempt on Woods or Keon Clark. DROB plays no defense and is a horrible rebounder..He is the prototypical euro-stiff.
  6. Maybe thats why we traded for him, can't see any other reason.
  7. Talk about a big stiff..He is a horrible rebounder..Why not sign Pryz? This move makes absolutely no sense..Rebracca or Pryz would have been a better move...If Babcock had made this move, this board would be exploding....
  8. I thought a player was only restricted if his curent team made a quailifying offer..We didn't offer on either one of them..They are gone.
  9. If we don't land Damp we might go with a frontcourt of Walker, Harrington, and Smooth..While Smooth needs to gain strength and weight, his quickness and leaping ability might allow him to do okay against the bigger less-skilled frontcourt types..That might be a good way to let him develope.Don't forget that Smooth is a longarmed 6'9'' guy..He is almost as big as Swift who many think could play center in the east.
  10. I heard that question to Walker also, BK came off as a rude and condesending..There was absolutely no need for him to jump in and answer that question..It won't take long for him to get a reputation as a GM you don't want to play for if he keeps this attitude. We already lost last years 2nd round draft pick because of his lack of communication, we don't need to run off free agents that can help us. I don't doubt his basketball knowledge, but people skills are very important these days in the NBA.
  11. Sounds like BK communicates as poorly to his players as he does the media..
  12. If not more..he was the 7th overall pick and had a very nice rookie season..Diaw showed a few flashes but is one of the most passive offensive players I have ever watched.
  13. Would be a total waste of money and a roster spot..He is always hurt and hasn't had a decent year in a long time.
  14. While I may or may not agree with any post its not like there is so much activity here that it makes a difference. I think as long as its basketball/Hawks related it is entirely ok..If you guys are so burdened by reading trade posts....THEN DON"T READ THEM!!!!!!!
  15. I don't think S. Smith was ever in AW's class. Not even close..
  16. Almost everything I have read lately points to a 50 mil deal on the table..I suspect it is a 5 year 50 mil deal with a player option after 3.
  17. Interested in others thoughts on this..Steve Smith, SAR, Sheed for one game?..Walker at 27 is a 3 time all-star, has led his team to a conference final, and is a career 20-8-4 guy...I would say he is our 1st real star in a decade.
  18. Walker has been on the verge of being a superstar and JT is a extremely flawed player that has done absolutely nothing but lose since he entered the league..I don't blame all the losing on him but come on, he sure hasn't done anything to turn it around..And some of you guys fretting over Hendu,,OMG, he should be in jail for stealing money the last few years..Then the rest are whining over a lottery protected 1st 2 or 3 years down the line..Damn..Are you guys scared we might actually be decent?..I don't know about the rest, but a frontline of Harrington, Walker, and Damp sounds pretty good to me. And worst case, Walker is gone at the end of the year and we have tons of cash....again!
  19. If Portland wants an overpaid bench scrub we have their guys..Especally if Damp signed, a frontline of Damp, SAR, and Harrington wouldn't be too bad..Then at the end of the year, we have his 14 mill to spend..
  20. If Memphis is willing to trade Swift for Damp, why not just do the deal with Golden State?..If Indy was willing to trade Bender, why not do the deal with Golden State?..Outside of Swift or Bender, who else would we want?
  21. SJax signed for the exemption..We could have done a sign and trade regardless..And Theo, a quality center in the last year of his contract would have been a very hot commodity...
  22. SAR and Theo had nothing to do with Harrington..And what good is all this capspace, if you are not gonna use it? He also picked Jacque Vaughn over Damon Jones and other much better players last year...He is like every other GM, some good and some not..Some of you guys are just silly in your praise of him..Especially some of the guys in the media who are scared to piss him off..It is almost funny, looks like old school communist propaganda...." The genius of BK is overwheming....blah blah, blah"..Give me a better team then I will be happy..And the next time he decimates the team for a better draft choice..TELL THEM NOT TO WINNNNNN>>>One more loss and we have Okafor or Livingston and Josh Smith...
  23. In quite possibly the weakest division in the history of the NBA?..We have some solid pieces, add a little talent and we should at least be competitive..I won't be happy with 4th.
  24. Or BK is not the basketball god some of you seem to think he is..Orlando was the worst team in the league, Washington was as bad as the Hawks, why would they be better next year unless the had better management? If BK spends our cap wisely, we should be better than both..No more Jacque Vaughn over Damon Jones signings I hope.....
  25. I truely think if we really offered 6 years and 50 mil he would be a Hawk..I also believe the extreme lowball offers like 3 years and 27 mil are false also..Its probably somewhere in the middle. I wouldn't mind a large one year deal for him..Let him prove his worth and be free again next year..Maybe one year at 10 or 11 mil. That would work for him and us. If not, go get Pryz.
