  1. meh who cares....Good luck to him though
  2. Playoffs ? I havent been this excited for Hawks basketball EVER. (I'm 16 all I did was root for MJ when he played, now I care..)
  3. Honestly, I think Ben Gordon will not succeed in the NBA. Not sure he has the necessary PG skills and hes too small to be a SG. I think that Devin Harris was a much better prospect because he has the necessary PG skills and he is an EXPLOSIVE scorer. Given the right opportunity and minutes in Dallas I think Devin Harris will be rookie of the year.
  4. Too bad we couldnt get Devin Harris lol
  5. I wish JT the best, I actually LIKED him unlike some here lol, but hopefully now Hawks can sign Jamal Crawford and Stro..
  6. I hope hes the next Scottie P
  7. NBAdraft.tk B This was a puzzling draft for Atlanta, but overall it was successful. They had five picks and decided to draft a swingman with their first three. The Josh Childress pick is a bit of a surprise but the Hawks liked him over Deng and Iguodala. Childress should be a solid player in the NBA with his versatility and athleticism. The Smith pick was to be expected because he is a hometown player and has incredible athleticism and potential. Donta Smith was a steal in the second round. He is a great athlete who has the build and playing style of a young Scottie Pippen (don't get me wrong there is no chance Smith is going to be the next Pippen). It was a shock to see Ivey get drafted let alone in the early second round. Although the Hawks did nothing to fill their needs at point guard or center this was still a solid draft for them.
  8. I was really pissed when Hawks did not choose Jameer Nelson and instead chose Josh Smith...
  9. Draftcity on Josh Smith Raw. So very raw. Smith, as amazing a prospect he is, does not have anything amounting to a complete game (on offense or defense). While he can leap high, that is generally all he can do on offense. His handle is not yet proficient enough to be able to drive against the better defenders in the NBA. Nor is his outside shot consistent enough (some games he can get very hot though) to deserve respect from a smart defender who would rather lay off and prevent the drive, daring Smith to shoot. Most of his scoring comes near the basket where he can simply sky over the smaller defenders or from putbacks. He cannot yet create his own shot consistently. His defense, other than the eerie shotblocking ability, is atrocious. For all his speed and athleticism he doesn't have the lateral quickness to play the faster players on the perimeter. He is also very lax on defense, barely trying at times. He simply cannot be asked to cover any better than average offensive player on the perimeter. The key in his weaknesses can be summed up in one word really: consistency. He needs more consistency instead of simply the flashes that he does show.
  10. Devin Harris better be in that group
  11. I wanat DEVIN HARRIS and Luke Jackson/Kirk Snyder...
