  1. There is an article breaking down the Abraham trade and how it effects the draft. Can someone please cut and paste it here. Thanks in advance. Here is the link:http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/insider/columns/story?columnist=green_jeremy&id=2379896&CMP=ILC-INHEAD&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fnfl%2finsider%2fcolumns%2fstory%3fcolumnist%3dgreen_jeremy%26id%3d2379896%26CMP%3dILC-INHEAD I don't know why it has so much jibberish attached to it. Hopefully it will still work.

  3. We apparently traded our first round pick to Denver for their pick(#29) and we picked up another 3rd rounder this year, plus a 4th next. We traded the pick(#29)to the Jets for Abraham. Just waiting on the Jets to sign the paperwork and it has already been approved by the league. I think this puts us near the top. The defense should really be able to put pressure on opposing QBs while the safeties deliver some pain across the middle. We can now just draft BPA in the upcoming draft.
  4. What amazes me about this mess it his gall in wanting to be paid many times more than what he has invested. How a judge would even consider letting him get away with that, while admitting that he wants to buyout the other owners for only the amount they have invested so far would be laughable. Hopefully the ball will finally bounce in favor of the righteous, instead of...
  5. While that is true, the situation is different now. Woody seems to be gaining confidence in Ivey, while Salim has been struggling. I hope Woody plays Ivey slightly more than Salim, at least in the beginning. This may be the extra motivation needed to make BK do a trade, sooner rather than later.

    Al at the 3?

Someone help me out. I live in west TN, and since the Grizzlies came along my chances to actually watch a Hawks game is lousy. I mostly listen on the NBA-Live radio on the web. We have been playing Al mostly at the 4 right? How often does he play the 3? I know he can play both, but where has Woody been playing him? The reason I asked, is because it has been mentioned that BK will try to sign him to an extension, and I found the following quote by Al: ""Harrington also said he would prefer to play small forward in the future. If he joined the Bulls, the 6-foot-9 forward would be needed at power forward. “I’d rather play the three,” he said. “But I’ll do whatever it takes for my team to win. That’s another issue in my mind when I’m a free agent. I would like to play a little bit more three, so sometimes I can take advantage of the smaller guys guarding me instead of having to go against guys that are a lot of times bigger than myself. “We’ll see. I’ve proven I can play both.” http://www.dailyherald.com/sports/sportsstory.asp?id=148593 Unless Woody is playing him alot at the 3, this is a hint that Al is actually leaning to signing elsewhere. He doesn't want to play alot of minutes at the 4 and this is his chance to get away from being asked to bang inside, which he hasn't done much of this year anyway.
  7. I was wondering yesterday if we could make a trade with Golden State. It is no secrect that Baron Davis and the coach does not get along. Mullins mentioned it himself and restated his commitment to the coach. We could possibly make a trade for Davis now, trading AL/Delk. It would give the warriors more cap room to maneuver. They have enough young guys, just like we do, and I read that Mullin is thinking of making major changes. Baron averages about the same points as Al, but he is averaging at least 9 assist per game right now.

    possible trade

Thanks, I forgot to check that. Too bad, I don't they will do a trade with AL/Delk for Wilcox/ Livingston (no pick) or Wilcox/Cassell w/the pick. Both of these trades checks out on RealGM.
  9. In the past some of you have mentioned wanting to trade for Chris Wilcox. Considering this (despite it coming from the NY Post): ""Early last month, the Clippers, 14-5 to start the season, harbored absolutely no intention of trading Maggette for Artest. Their first fishing expedition had Chris Wilcox's name on the hook, in addition to a No. 1 pick. Cuttino Mobley was the bait on their second foray." New York Post" how many of you would tade Al to the Clippers for Wilcox and a 1st round pick?
  10. I'm not 100% on this but Tiger had a similar build. He only started to put on muscle mass, over the last 2-3 years and I believe he just turned 30, although he is still lean. Childress could be similar to what Trace is stating or he could stay like Reggie Miller, only time will tell.
  11. I find it funny how he only wants to buyout the rest of the owners for the amount they already contributed to the partnership thus far, but he wants them to pay him a share based on double the supposed valued of the teams and arena. "It asks the court to find that the Dec. 17 appraisal is binding, that the defendants have 60 days from that date to complete the purchase of Belkin's stake and that, if they fail to do so, they be required to sell out to him for an amount equal to their "aggregate contributed capital"in the venture." I hope this don't drag into the offseason.
  12. I hate to post this after a Victory, but he that cries foul is at it again. "Belkin, Spirit team feuding again Ex-Hawks, Thrashers partner suing over appraisal of his stakes up for sale By TIM TUCKER , BOB KEMPER The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Published on: 01/07/06 Here we go again." Here is the link: http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/sports/s...0107spirit.html He didn't like the appraisal that a firm of his choosing came back with, so he decided to pick another one, and went back to court to have it be the deciding one. Luckily the partners foresaw this and made sure it wouldn't be decided in a Boston court.
  13. It looks like the Hawks will miss out on playing against Paul this weekend. "Sports Illustrated - New Orleans point guard Chris Paul left the Hornets' game against Portland on Friday night with a torn ligament in his right thumb and will miss at least two weeks. Paul grabbed his right thumb and walked toward the Hornets bench after a basket by Portland's Juan Dixon with 11:24 left in the third quarter. [READ]"
  14. With Potapenko wanting to be traded and Seattle liking Wilkins at PG what do you guys think of this trade. I would also like to pick up a draft pick from Seattle.
  15. I agree with KB. I think ZsaZsa will stay at center barring a trade for someone better. Also everything that I have read so far about Anderson has him listed with weighing around 215/225. He will probably have to find time in the forward spots, unless he put on some weight and gain some strength.
  16. Can anyone hear the game on 790 using the net??? I was listening to the pregame show and then it went blank.
  17. According to this article Morris was reinstated by the NCAA. He just has to sit out a year before he can play. http://www.ajc.com/gatech/content/shared-g...cky_Morris.html
  18. I was watching "Quite Frankly" yesterday and a member of the audience asked Steven A. about the best unsung rookie for this season. He stated that he has been hearing doubts about MW's desire to be the man. He said that Marvin just wants to get by with his natural talent and not work hard at the game. I was wondering if anyone else heard him say this and what you guys think. From what I heard and read so far I don't see it this way. During the preseason MW was hurt too much to gage it. Sekou wrote the folowing article that could be slanted that way by someone looking to diss him, but overall even this is positive about MW. I respect him for being his own man at 19. http://www.ajc.com/sports/content/sports/h...03williams.html
  19. My condolences to the Colliers and the team.
  20. I agree with this assessment the most: "Whether Zaza is better than Andrew doesn't matter". All I really want from our big men is what Woody has stated. Someone who will fight down low and do the dirty work. With that in mind remember how Edwards handled Bogut, although it was only 1 summer league game. That is what I like most of what I have read about the attitudes of Zaza and Batista. Bogut could turn out to be more like Collier than average big rebound numbers against more physical players.
  21. Thank you Mr. Levenson, I can't express it enough how good it is to have the Hawks in such wonderful and caring hands. I haven't been this excited about the future of the team in a mighty long time. Good luck to you and the rest of the owners and management. I just check my ticketmaster account and they have assigned me seats, section 120-L-11 thru 15. I can't wait to bring the family
  22. My order has been cancelled too. Did anyone get any response as to why?
  23. Thanks, Let me know when you get a chance. I'll wait until next week before I look into buying some then. I'm located in Clarksville.
  24. I am planning on catching the preseason game the Hawks has against the Heat, in Nashville on Oct 25. I was just wondering if anyone received any tickets for it they want to move before I go out and buy some. If so please PM me.
  25. What is this guy's name and where did he come from? I haven't found any sign of him.
