Hawks, Washington, Portland 3-way. Hawks get Jarvis Hayes and Brendoan Heywood. Portland gets Salim, Este, and Lorenzen. Washington gets Magloire. Not bad I guess. Not going to turn our seaosn around BUT it does rid oursleves of LoWright and salim(who I just dont like).

Seems the losing has really started to get to everyone on the board as we are at each others throats, lol. I guess everyone just feels as disappointed as I do. I just cant believe we are still the worst team in the league. I have given up trying to place blame. Everyone is to blame. We need a shot in the arm with a HUGE draft pick this year that actually pans out. Sadly, we are most likely going to lose our pick to the suns and will have to look forward to another losing season. The way it is going in Coldlanta, I would bet if we were lucky enough to get the 1st pick, Greg Oden would decide to stay in school 1 more year, lol. I can see it now. Hawks lose again.

His offense does not fit him at all. Now that is not to say that petrino can't tweak it to take advantage of vicks strengths but to say that vick fits his system currently is foolish.

First off let me state for the record I wanted Deron Williams BUT I was very happy as a Tarheel to get MWill. The purpose of this post is not to question the pick but rather to examine Marvin's developement. I have been greatly disappointed in him so far. I did not expect him to come in and be the 1 guy to take us to the promised land but I am worried that I dont see the same guy that I saw at Carolina. I would like to put the blame on woody for not trying to run more but is that it? Even last yr marvin would drive to the basket but not so much this year. I see him take jumper after jumper. To be honest I am starting to be a little concerened that he might never become the player most thought he would. Am I jumping the gun here? Please someone make me feel better about Mr. Williams.

It amazes me how falcon fans [censored] about the team losing yet dont like the 1 coach who got them to the Super Bowl. My least favorite platers? I have to say Peerless Price, Mike Booker and Nathan Davis(not their fault), Matt Lehr and I will go ahead and inlcude either TO or Moss if we sign them this offseason. The most hated would have to be Eugene Robinson.

He will be the one who gets traded. He is the best all-around player of the bunch. (maybe I am slighting JSmoove). Chillz is my favorite player on the Hawks roster along with Smith. I love their energy and all-around play. So, it just stands to reason that if they are our best players they would be the guys we try to trade, not like we are trying to win or anything.

Its not something that you run on a regular basis but if you run it enough that a defense has to be aware of it then you open the other side of the field. Most teams will run zone against us fearing vicks ability to run. When he rolls to the left the safeties will cheat over to that side leaving the opposite side open. You can take advantage of this later in the game as the safeties will be forced to respect that option. They will have to keep their zones honest. If a team then decides to man-up well, you run wr's on deep routes to clear space and let vick run. A good OC is always trying to set the defense up. You call 1 play to call another. You get the defense thinking about 1 thing while you do another.

One of the best uses of a guy with an arm like Vick's is throwing back across the field. With his arm strength and running ability we should see more throw-backs on his sprint passes....but we never see it.

there not just helping us. They are getting a very popular player in Charlotte. Basically reuniting the Tarheel national champions. They need a shooter off the bench and they need an athletic 3. Throw in the 1st and it is a good deal for both sides.

I think they would be open to discussion. We might have to thrwo in our other 1st but I would still do it. Marvin salim and a 1st should be enough for them to bite. Now, if they dont get a top 3 pick they might not be so willing to do it. But, alas, it wont matter cause our braintrust wouldnt be that smart.

If we miss out on Oden and give our pic away to the suns why not contact Charlotte about Emeka Okafor. They will more thanlikely be in the top 3 and could draft another big to replace him and Marvin will be a big sale in Tarheel country. We could throw in Salim, a shooter they need as well. Imagine, if you will, JSmoove and Okafor manning the paint for the Hawks!!! WOW! No more layup central. Plus, he wouldnt slow us down if we ever decide to start pushing the ball. He is a good reb so he would get the break started. Thoughts?

Speedy is fine. He had what 8 steals last night? Good thing too as Zaza had 8 to's. Unreal, how do u have 8 to's as a center???? I am not as worried about this team as it seems most of you are. We have had a ton of injuries and I dont think we have had a full roster on the floor at the same time yet. Add that to being the youngets team in the league EVER and you are going to lose a lot of games. The most glaring need this team has is at the 5. There is no reaosn we cant get one next year. We may have a top 3 pick and a mid-first. Ideally we would get lucky and get #1 to draft Oden then get a PG later to groom. If we dont get Oden we can package our picks(s) and players to get our center. I like Solo as well, wish he could get some time to get experience. He just needs to bulk up which I am sure he can do. All is not lost in hotlanta, yet. The worst thing that could happen now is keep losing until the last month of the season then go on a winning streak to take oursleves out of the running for Oden.

Its not about thinking shaub is the next montanna but rather all we could get for Vick in trade. As far as the blame ame goes your right there is plenty to go around. I only attended 1 game this seaosn and it was the cowboy game and I was really shocked at how bad our wrs run routes. I was also shocked at how bad vick reads the field. I dont think getting vick great wrs is going to fix our problems nor do I think just changing the qb would do it. We need a fresh start but unlike the hawks and their fresh start we have a superstar player that we can trade just like someone mentioned earlier(Dallas and Minny). I just feel that our best option is clean house including vick.

Well, heres how it plays out. Either we keep Mora and coaching staff and trade vick or we keep vick and fire coaching staff. Which way do you think blank is going wiht that 1? Mora and pals are gone. Sadly we will prolly have the same problem next year. I love watching Vick, no doubt he is the most exciting player in the league, maybe tomlimson, but Vick is exciting. I do believe that Vick can win but he needs help. better players and better coaches BUT I would like to see the Falcons trade him for this reason. They would get a ton in return for him. The falcons dont have a lot of holes to fill and they could all be filled with a trade of vick. Heres how I see the roster.... QB-good with Shaub but will need a vet backup. RB-set Dunn and Norwood resign Griffin WR-definitely need to get a guy here. TE-set OL-OT and OG, get Forney back healthy. DL-add depth with another huge dt LB-ILB and depth DB-2 safeties and a CB(I like williams though) Thats 4 or 5 starter quality players we need to add and this team will be at the top of the league. A trade of Vick will supply the ammo to do this. Rich McKay is a good GM and I have faith that he would draft the right guys. I would hate to see him go but I would be willing to bet the Browns would offer a very nice deal to get their hands on Vick. Going to be an interesting offseason for sure in Hotlanta.

Man, the way this guy played sat I wouldnt be upset if we ended up with either oden or horford. He was hurting and absolutely balled. I was very impressed.

If the injury problems continue all season we are surely doomed to hit the lotto once again. If by some miracle we get the #1 pick, wow, BK better get it right. Heres what i would do...... Draft Oden(no brainer if he comes out) Sign Chauncey Billups(may be tough if we fire Woody) If we lose out on Billups go after Miller or Bibby. Billups/Speedy/Salim JJ/Chillz Marvin/Chillz JS/Marvin/Sheldon Oden/Solo/sheldon Billups plays 24 at pg 8 at sg Speedy plays 24 at pg JJ gets 32 at sg chillz gets 8 at sg Marvin gets 24 at sf then chillz gets 24 smoove gets 32 at pf then marvin get 8 and shel gets 8 Oden gets 32 then solo and sheldon split the rest. Billups, JJ, Chillz, Marvin, smoove and Oden get 32 mpg keeping them fresh for the playoffs. We would prolly have to send detroit lue and zaza to sign billups. Ok bring on the criticism, but this is do-able(pending the draft). P.S.- Hopefully we get out of the mash unit soon and stay out of the lottery and jump into the playoffs but as a longtime Hawks fan I am just prepariung myslef for the annual dissapiontment.

He will get in teamates faces if they are giving %150. My pt was we dont have that right now. I was saying nothing about how iverson would have fit in here only that he would have been a guy that got our young guys going when things were bad or they were not playing with energy.

I woujld love to do the first move if Bynum can play defense. I havent seen him enough to know much about him.

Thanks. So to sum up we have a team built to run but we choose not too. Thats what i thought. Only 1 thing to do, fire the head coach. I like woody cause he seems to be a nice guy who tries hard but as I have said before I dont think he is HC material, just an assistant. Oh, and please dont hire another assistant or a college guy lets get a real nba head coach who knows what he is doing. AND A DAMN CENETER WHO CAN DUNK AND PLAY DEFENSE. I will settle for just the defense. When is the last time you have seen zaza dunk the basketball?

I wonder if we really have a leader of this team? I dont think Joe is that kind of guy. For that reaosn alone I would have loved to have Iverson in here. I think we need someone like that that is a proven winner to lead this young core. We need someone that is going to get in peoples faces when things are going bad and get the ready to play. I dont think we have 1 person on the roster that would do that....maybe TLue.

I am a football coach and dont pretend to know the x and o's of basketball that much. I would love to know what the Hawks system is offensively? All I heard when BK took over was that he was trying to build an exciting team that got out and ran. Now we have all this young atletic talent and we dont run. I have watched almost every game this year and to this day I couldnt tell you what kind of offense the Hawks run. Maybe I am just ignorant....or maybe they dont know either.

I came in 4th and saw we had slaim, joe, sheldon, wright in the game where was js and marvin and zaza for that matter? I am really worried at this pt about this team. I am scared they are going to get discouraged and fall apart. I hope I am wrong but losing so many close games that they should have won is taking its toll. The injuries have hurt but we should still be winning games. This is the toughest stretch of the schedule for the hawks and we have played teams close so I guess there is hope. I can see it now, we are 18-50 then we win 14 straight to screw our chances at a top 3 pick. Sound familiar? I would love to win now but wouldnt this be nice.....Hawks draft Greg Oden, Hawks sign Chauncey Billups or Mike Bibby. Now that team would be worth watching.
