I saw this on espn and wondered if Krstic could be the center we need to pair with AL. I have to say i havent seen him play much so I dont know what his game is. Just looking at his stats he doesnt look like a reb which is ok since smoove and al reb. If he is a good passer then i say lets offer chill for krstic and see what happens.

We need our everyday players healthy and we need to realize that kelly johnson isn't our 2nd baseman. I mentioned in another post that we trade tex since we wont resign him anyway. Well, I have since changed my mind. If there is 1 guy that could completely change this team's offense, its brian roberts. Takes care of 2 problems for us...2nd base and leadoff. he is a switch hitter and has good speed and gets on base. If we keep kelly then move him to left. Roberts escobar chipper tex mcann kotsay frenchy johnson That is a very strong lineup. Even with frenchy struggling we should score enough to be serious contenders. The bench would be very strong as well. Blanco, Diaz(or jones if diaz not healthy), norton, infante and corky. The way our young starters have pitched we would be in great shape. 1 more thing i would like to add. I have read that Jason Bay may be avaiable. He owuld be a verry nice get to play lf. He would be nice protection hitting behind mcann. With 4 young starters making the minimum we maybe able to afford both bay and roberts next season.

I have never been so disgusted with this team as I am right now. Players not performing or even playing hard. Bobby looking like a rookie manager. I cannot believe some of his decisions lately. How do you leave Reyes in to hit for himself with bases loaded? then, go figure, reyes blows up next half inning and gives up the lead. Not the first time this has happenede this yr. I realize they are shorthanded on bench but whaty better time to use pinch hitter than that? I really dont see this team doing any damage even if they make the playoffs. So, please for God's sake, please dont trade away any more young talent for rentals to try to make it this yr. How about instead lets do the opposite. Lets trade Tex and maybe KJ. I say call up baltimore and offer tex for roberts and a pitching prospect. This will fix our leadoff spot and cover 2nd. We will not be resigning tex anyway so lets get something for him.

If he doesnt resign until july 1st what does that mean for our offseason plans? Who will be making decisions at the draft. I know we have zero picks but we should at least get trade offers. Who will be making those decisions?

Did anyone watch closely to what happened right after thje KG and Zaza scuffle? There were a couple of interesting things I noticed. First off, Horford is the man! He was the one who was walking Zaza away from the action and calming him down. Not your typical rookie. Very composed. Also, It looked to me as if he told Woody to back off when he came out yelling at Zaza. Chillz had his arm around Woody as they were walking behind horf and zaza. It looked to me as if chillz was trying to smile and act like there was no beef between woody and zaza. Watch the replay and you'll see what I mean. Woody seemed to want no part as he ducks under chillz zarm and walks off. Now, maybe I read this all wrong but it seems to me there is no doubt this team and its coach have a bad relationship. I just dont understand why woody would go at zaza and yell at him. I get that we cant afford to lose zaza to suspension but damn it woody how about standing behind your players. In my mind Zaza did the right thing. He got right in garnetts face and showed that the hawks were not going to be pushed around.

Paul Pierce has long since been one of my least favorite NBA players. I dont know what it was about him but I just didnt like him. Now, if its true what you guys are saying, I feel a little justified in my opinion of him. I wish scalabrine had let him keep coming to Horford, lol. Its now time to see just how good our new front office is. The later rds in the draft are so important to a teams success. I think we will be targeting DT, DB, OL and maybe a DE. If we could come out of rd 3 with Marcus Harrison, Carl Nicks and Craig Steltz I would be stoked. There are still some very good players out there and a few gems to be found, hopefully the Falcons can find a few finally. I am content with our 1st day. I hate that we had to reach on Baker but all-in-all a pretty good day. I heard the "experts" saying Baker may have to move inside which is cool because If Forney doesnt have a good yr we can slide him down there and get our LT in next yrs draft, which as I have posted before is absolutely loaded with outstanding OL. I watched a couple of OU games and thought Loften was very good LB so I was happy with that selection but still left wishing we had drafted Willis last yr. Hopefully we can look back on this day as the day that started the Falcons on the path to a SB title.

OK I give in...we should select Matt Ryan. It kinda makes sense. We arent going to win for 2 or 3 yrs so let him come in now and start learning the offense from the sideline. While he is developing we can spend our time and later draft picks on giving him protection on the line and filling our other holes. I just keep thinking that what happens if we pass on him and by the time we fill lour other holes we still need to get a qb and then we have to give him time to develope? Man, what a pickle! One thing I really dont want to see happen is that we have to trade up to get a QB later in draft. I can say this for sure, I will not be disappointed either way. well, at least not yet!!

Mcfadden is going to be the biggest bust of all the top 10 players from this draft. Go back and watch him at Arkansas. HE DOESNT BREAK TACKLES! Sure he has great speed and I'm sure he will break a few but he just isnt the great back that everyone seems to make him out to be. He runs too tall as well. I would take Stewart or Mendenhall in a heartbeat over him. As far as Ellis goes, I guess he would be a nice consolation prize if we lose out on Dorsey but only if we can trade back to draft him. If we stay at 3 it has to be Ryan if Dorsey is gone.

I think you misunderstood what I am saying. We dont have to package our picks to get a 1st next yr. We can trade the 3rd pick of the 2nd rd this yr for a 1st next yr and probaby get a 3rd or 4th as well.. We could could do the same with the 6th pick of the 2nd rd. Does anyone remember when we traded away a 1st rd pick to get a 2nd that we used on Reggie Kelly? That pick turned out to be Jamal Lewis. Think about it. It makes good sense.

Why not trade our 3 2nd rd picks for 1st rd picks next yr? Would be real nice to have 4 1st rd picks in a terrific draft next yr. Andre Smith, Mike Oher, James Laurinitus, Mathew Stafford, Mallauga, Boone and Herman Johnson. Really strong draft for OL and LB.

I hope I misunderstood Verrette during the pregame when he said that woody wanted his players to be cool tonight and NOT to look at this game as a do or die situation. ARE YOU F$%^ing kidding me? Again, I hope i read that wrong but if not this, to me, is the final nail in the proverbial woody coffin. I just cant believe a coach would not get his players in the mindset that tonights game was a MUST HAVE. Just unbelievable to me.

I'm not sure who elite xtreme has at 185 but I would bet my life that Henderson and Silva would eat him alive. Unfortunately we will prolly never find out. I wish the different promos would get together in december and each put forth 1 fighter in each weight class to see who's the best. The Super Bowl of MMA. Imagine the $$$$$ that kind of show would bring in. Never happen though, at least with UFC. I think other promos are much more willing to do this than UFC. Speaking of. I saw the fight and I am happy to see either Shamrock get beat. easily my least favorite MMA fighters. Going back to Frank vs Renzo Gracie I think that frank is a punk. If you havent seen that fight look it up on youtube, maybe its there. He was DQ'd for illegal knee to bacjk of the head. He said he didnt realuize whathe did but if you look closely his arm was around his neck and he moved his arm tpo allow the kneed tpo connect. Where does he think he was connecting? Once again I never said taking Brohm at 3 was smart. That was someone else. As far as him dropping to 2nd rd. There is always the possibility of trading up into end of 1st. OK, I'm going to say this only 1 more time. Your argument that we not take brohm because he played in a conference usa(again he was in BIG EAST) against weak competition doesnt fly when you then advocate drafting a guy that played at Delaware. That is all I was saying.

i suspect the signing of simon fraser says a lot about Anderson. He did a great job vs the run so now we bring in fraser to rush the passer. Could be a very nice duo and great protection for abraham in case of injury. I think this draft will be one we all look back on as the start of something great in hotlanta. We have 7 of the first 113 picks. We should come away with 5-6 starters from this draft. That is huge. If we add OT, DT, QB, OG, CB, ILB with players that are starter quality we will be in great shape to seriously compete in 2 years. We may even surprise some people and win 8 games.

uuummm.....38-48 million dollars? I dont believe I ever said anything about taking Brohm at the top of the draft. If you hadnt noticed we dont have any Patriots coaches on this staff. Our OC is Mike Mularkey(sp?) He likes the power run game. Think more steelers and less patriots. Combine that to the fact that our new HC is a defensive guy, it doesnt take a rocket scientist to see that we are going to run, run, run. You have basically side-stepped my statement that your argument for Flacco and against Brohm is "crazy talk" but I'll just let it go. I dont think you get it. Thank you. I am suggesting that Marvin may never live up to his potential because of all the talk. He needs a fresh start and we need to move on as well. The 1 guy I would love to see us get is Mehemet Okur. He would be a perfect fit for our offense,. He can stretch the d from the 5 which will help JSmoove as he takes smaller, weaker SF's to the post. I think Smoove would be pretty much unstoppable in the post playing the 3. Now, back to reality cause there is little to no chance utah gives us okur for marvin. Maybe throw in Zaza? Nah, I doubt it. It would be a dream trade for us though. Its like this someone has to go as we just cant pay everyone wqhen we still have some holesw to fill so I say get Marvin outta here for his sake(I am a tarheal fan) and ours.

I only saw a few minutes of this game and I see Marvin sry azz fumble the ball out of bounds under the basket losing an easy 2 pts. Marvin just isnt that good right now.
