  1. I gave them a C Mostly because of a bad draft Picking Sheldon at #5 could end up costing Bk his Job.
  2. I would say KB, since he would'nt even admit that sigining John Edwards to a 2 year deal was a mistake But, he was here long before A.S took over, so i guess it's not him.
  3. Quote: Bonzi Wells has to be the best remaining FA out there. He's a pretty nice player, but we'd have absolutely no use for him on this team. Trying to address needs, there are no really good big men out there. What there are are decent backup types ala Cato, but the need for a backup big should have been addressed with the Lo Wright signing. So I guess there's no one out there right now I'd really want. I'd rather see the team pocket the money and save it to either facilitate a move at the trade deadline, and/or make a splash in next years free agency. I would sign Kato to a one year contract. But BK seems to like to give out 2 years deals.
  4. Quote: Smoove: Theo/SAR got us Sheed got us #17 pick got us Smoove This was a great trade sequence; who would trade smoove for theo/sar now? JJ: 1mil cash for Sjax contract for Al for 2007 indy pick JT for walker/delk for lal pick late 1st to draft diaw those 3 became JJ so JJ cost us a late first and JT and our great signing of sjax to a 1mil/year contract and swapping ours/indy's pick this year (which could be a GOOD thing if we finish above them!) This was a great trade sequence; Who would trade JJ for JT/late first/Sjax/swap back from indy's 2007 pick now? So our old team assets that BK had when he started the rebuilding 30 months ago was traded for JJ/Smoove We get Chill regardless since pre-post sar/theo trade had roughly same record, so Chill is either way We got Marvin from this rebuilding since we wouldn't have had #2 if we had kept sar/theo/jt So the JJ/Smoove/Marvin trio is pretty much what bk got for the assets he inherited Zaza/speedy/batman/lo were good signings that had nothing to do with our old assets Slim/Ivey were 2nd rounders we'd have either way (altho without the rebuilding, we wouldn't have gotten slim since he wouldn't have fallen to 40th pick) I, for one, would take JJ/Smoove/Marvin/Slim over Theo/SAR/JT/#40 last year any day of the week So I think BK has done a good job of upgrading our assets I also like the drafting of chill and the speedy/zaza/batman signings Lue/lo are just temporary jury is out on shelden Yes, we possibly could have done MORE without making the 'mistakes' that get harped on here all the time, like getting paul instead of marvin (jury still out there tho), not really getting anything for nazr, etc...but can u really say we haven't done a GOOD job of improving our assets in the past 30 months? I think if we can improve our assets and potential that much in the first 30 months of rebuilding, that we are doing a good job; nobody (other than kb) is saying we are doing a PERFECT job, but we are still doing a good job nonetheless and i think we shouldn't be so quick to call for BK's head i don't understand one thing.. sjax was traded for straight up for harrington..so what does that have to do with JJ??????
  5. Quote: I think ASAP Bird and Company will look for deals for Tinsley/Jax... However, they have Yessircabbages, Daniels, Granger, Al and JO. That's a very strong young team. They do lack the speed we have but they have lots and lots of technical skill. For instance, they will not suffer with Low post scoring. They will not suffer because of their midrange game. They won't suffer much defensively. They will put out a complete team. They will suffer without having guys with desent outside shots. And a lack of a "go to " player.JO is as about as clutch as AL
  6. think about it PG:Speedy/Lue >>>>> Tinsley,Jasikevicius SG:JJ/Salim>>>>>Jackson/Daniels SF:Marvin/Childress>>>> Granger S.williams PF:Smith/Sheldon = Harrington/Baston((If Josh puts up 15pts 8reb 4ast 3blks like he did post allstar break.)) C:Zaza/Lo Coach: Carlisle>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Woody Better coaching is the main reason they are ahead of us.
  7. Quote: Good luck to Al. Thanks for being professional during your time in ATL. Yes you have to admit that al was very professional in his time here.I like Al as a person, He was just not the right person for this team. I wish him well against everyone except the Hawks.
  8. Because if He didn't sign with the Bulls, we might have lost Al to the Bulls for nothing.
  9. There roster is still kind of week and injury prone. Starter(As Pacer fan see it) C. J.Oneal: played in only 51 games in 2006-- 41 in 2005 No outside shooters to free him from doulble teams Pf.Harrington: He the best 3pt shooter on the team.Thats sad Also has knee issues. As unclutch as it gets(can't even hit a ft down the stretch, much less a fg. sf.Granger: is he ready to step up and start? Sg.S.Jackson: a chucker who gets booed at home more than Kobe got booed in denver. Pg. J.Tinsley: 52,40,42 those are the amount of games he played the last 3 years.Has a career fg% of 40%. THE BENCH C. Foster A solid back up C pf/C, Harrison: Lue is a better rebounder than this guy sf. Shawne Williams/James White i dont think these rookies will be much of a factor M.Danials: good slasher/ but can't shoot pg.Jasikevicius i dont know much about him, but he shot 39fg% They really have no shooters at all.Noone to help spread the floor for Al and JO. When you think about it our roster is better than theirs.. they just have a much better coach than we do.Everytime i look at that roster i gain more respect for Coach Carlisle. But IMO they are a JO/Tinsley injury from giving us a good pick.If they get hurt, we all know Harrington and Jackson can't carry the team
  10. I guess JJ can be our guy with the post game, like Steve Smith used to be.

    What happens....

Doug Edwards will be on the next Dream team before John Edwards get a triple double
  12. I like the lakers pic better, because it's harder ro make the playoffs in the west. Last year,in the east , 3 teams maded the playoffs without a winning record. So the pacers could stink and still make the playoffs.
  13. Teams like THE Warriors , Nuggets, Celtics and Lakers would pay him 10 million per.But they haven't offered a sign n trade deal that the Hawks are willing to take.
  14. I Can't really blame A.S for not wanting to spend alot of money this year. After all the did loose 20 million dollars last year. They are going have a hard time making a profit with attendence the way it is.And it was the worst i ever seen last year.Plus they have to put up 11 million in the court case VS Belkin. But , they have to understand that the fans will not come, until they start winning...and not getting players back for Harrington, makes it more likey that will be giving a lotto pick to the Suns.So we wont even have the draft to look foward. Hell.. i dont know maybe we should form some kind of rally and march in to the Phil, and let management know how we feel.
  15. At this piont , i dont think Al would resign. The hawks let it be known that they rather play the young guys, than bring Harrington back.Al knows that if he resigns, that he would be traded, as soon as possible, and he would have no say in what team he goes to.
  16. Quote: getting owned by a "garbage team". They are still mad about that 4 game sweep last year
  17. If Augmon had a decent jumpshot.... dunks
  18. This is a great video! I'm not going to say who won, because i don't wanna spoil it for you. I's nice to see to see Nique, Willis, Doc, spud and even Koncak together again.
  19. it was directed towards Blount, I just hit reply on the last post in the thread.
  20. Quote: If we had 12 Zaza's we'd be a playoff team easily. With 12 Zaza's, we would give up 150 pgg on defense. But on the bright side, we would get about 50 offensive rebounds a game.
  21. People like PRYZ better because he is a better shotblocker Pryz was 7th in the nba in bpg while just playing 25 mpg
  22. Quote: I'm looking strictly at salary. Salary wise, Dunleavy Jr. is a BYC player and in order for the trade to work, we'd have to take on 25% of his salary. That's about 1.85 million... roughly Biedrins. If we sent Edwards, then it goes from being Biedrins to being Pietrus. Playing wise, why would LAC want Dunleavy Jr. over Maggette? Media would say coaches son. That's about the only reason. Maggette is much better than Dunleavy Jr. in every way but games played. LAC would probably be getting a pick from somebody.. probably denver. Denver has Dallas' pick to give. I heard a few times before that Maggette has fallen out of favor with the Clippers. He was also pissed that he lost his starting job. They view him as a blackhole that kills ball movement.I dont think they even played him that much in the playoffs.
  23. I agree that we have no room for Petrius We already have JJ, Childress, and Salim getting mins at sg. And Marvin, Smith, and Childress can play sf. Maybe we could trade him later for another pick
  24. We have to get a pick or biedrins to go along with Smith, or else the deal sucks.
