Jazz aren’t winning anything now. They get a young player to build around and a Suns pick that could be gold in a couple years when KD deserts them.

Knicks have been a bigger clown-show than us past couple decades. The Spurs and Pop taking advantage of us is one thing…but I don’t see the Knicks doing the same.

The allure of DJM for BKN is most likely pairing him with Bridges.

But, a couple of their picks, especially that upcoming Phoenix unprotected FRP, could go a long way in helping us land another star to put around Trae and JJ who fits Quin’s scheme better.

If it’s a young player + picks for DJM, I could see those picks going out sooner rather than later to try and land that 3rd star to pair with Trae and Jalen.

Maybe as soon as getting a 3rd team into the trade. 

Don’t get me started on Travis….

Travis traded away Luka and bought way too high on Hunter. His best picks we thought at the time, Huerter and Collins, don’t look so great now. Cam never turned into anything either. We also could have had Hali, but went with OO. I don’t care if Hali didn’t want to come here. Deal with it, rookie.

And if he did his job scouting Luka, you think Ressler is going to veto that if your GM tells you he’s generational? That’s his scouting failure.

The DJM trade was the result of his failures to put another star around Trae. I’m glad he’s gone.

Not that I trust Landry anymore…but I do trust Quin.

Are we thinking NYK or BKN?

Seems like for the Knicks, DJM would have the same issue with Brunson he has here.

BKN has better assets. Could we swing Thomas and/or Claxton?

I wonder if we could "sell" just enough to make a run at Lauri. Recoup some draft picks sending Clint, Dre, etc. out and build around a trio of Trae/JJ/Lauri and maybe OO17 still.

Attach Lauri and we can discuss taking JC back…

JJ won’t be traded for Siakam.

In fact, I think we could get a lot more than Siakam right now if JJ were to ever hit the block.

Dre/Mills/Bey (maybe the Sac pick too) for Siakam and then I’d consider the Pels trade floated on here for DJM.

No way we trade JJ for Siakam.

Can’t imagine us giving up much for a rental. But we should honestly be sellers right now…not buyers.

If we could turn DJM into 75/80% of the assets to go get Lauri I would consider that.

But probably not too many DJM trades out there that make us better. Unless we’re just going to go the whole soft rebuild route.  Which might be our best bet looking at our record….
