Merry Christmas, everyone!

I hope we can make a splash and swing Lauri. As much as I wanted KP to pair with Trae, I want Lauri even more. Younger, healthier, and just overall better.
OG would be nice too.

Team is having a serious discussion with Ressler about should the team try to swing for the faces for a big name to help OR soft rebuild around Trae/JJ/OO.
I hope they go for the latter personally.
I called for a 1 year tank about a month ago.
Last year owning our pick…make the most of it. Trade the players who aren’t the best fit around Trae and go into the offseason with some spending money/recouped draft picks.

Trae needs 3 more….
There it is boys. And the refs f’ed us out of 4 points at the end. Should be tied now.

Closes the night with an EGREGIOUS missed goaltend.
Neither was even debatable.
Add the foul on Trae being non-shooting. Just as egregious.

Jalen Johnson has been cleared to return to full team practice and the Hawks forward is nearing a return from a left distal radius fracture, the team announced Wednesday.
In addition, guard Kobe Bufkin, who has been out since Nov. 2 with a left thumb fracture, has been cleared to return to full team practice.
Forward Mouhamed Gueye, who has been out with a right low back stress fracture, underwent a CT scan on Monday. He has been cleared to begin light on-court individual workouts. He will be re-evaluated in four weeks.
Guard AJ Griffin remains out for personal reasons.
Guard Bogdan Bogdanovic, who missed the past two games with right ankle inflammation, remains questionable for tonight’s game against the Rockets.

Where’s Nique been lately? Feel like he hasn’t been on commentary in a while.

Been told the new wrinkle for a Siakam deal with the Raptors is them insisting on JJ in a deal. Really, really wish the team would just move on from the Raps. Look at the amount of trade chatter from that FO and how few actual trades are made.
Good. Now that Lauri is available he should be the focus.

How do you play 32 minutes and only come up with 7 points AT HOME.... AGAINST THE HAWKS?
Tanking his value for us. Love to see it.

I'm gonna say it - Lauri: a guy putting up numbers on a bad team. Don't @ me. I said what I said.
Yeah we got one of them on the Hawks too. But put 2 of them together and maybe…just maybe…a bad team becomes a good team?

I really only advocate for Lauri IF we can somehow swing OG too, which would help compensate on the defensive end. I don't think just purely adding Lauri to what we have right now would be ideal.

higher than Traschal's and Lori's. He actually has a chance to be 2-way. No way in hell those 2 become defensive standouts.
And why are people crying for Siakam/Lauri AND complaining about our defense at the same time? One cannot make both of those complaints without being a complete hypocrisy.I don't think he'll touch where Lauri is today offensively, but don't disagree he could be better defensively.

I couldnt care less.. Its just funny how fans use certain criteria to fit their narrative..
Im not giving up JJ for either one of those dudes.. lol
Just depends on what you think JJ's ceiling is.

But Stathead says he's better than Siakam and JJ..
That's the standard now I guess.....
Ill have to use that site in all of my arguments now. lol
Literally no one on that Jazz roster including what everyone around here says is a net negative in John Collins and somehow the same number of wins as us and one less than the vaunted Siakam.

And these boys out here fallin in love with that 20-game sample size of Lauri but ignoring the 4-5 years worth of mediocrity too.
What yall think? Yall seeing something Chicago, Cleveland, and now UTA (if they trade him) are missing?
Duh, the reason UTA went from a 1-2 seed early last season to a lotto-bound mess is BECAUSE Markkanen ain't that dude, not in spite of it.
He was traded for allstar Donovan Mitchell on a team that just drafted a PF 3rd overall and needed a SG...
Completely different player now than he was 2 years ago. He actually improved and took that leap - something people around here keep praying one of our guys do.
He ain't that dude? Yeah most teams recognize until you have a top 10 superstar it's better to play the lottery than be middle of the pack where he kept them most of last year.

But honestly though f*** it, would rather start swinging for the fences and have a chance to be winning. Sooooo tired of the >= .500 experience.
Seriously. Swing for the fences vs stay put and watch 3 really good FRP's transfer to the Spurs.

My gut tells me we go into the LT this upcoming summer. Otherwise, we're a lottery team without a pick. You almost have to go into the tax to keep a great pick from transferring to SAS. Otherwise, you risk losing the locker-room and even worse the fanba$e.

Nope. Your issue with this lineup is still the frontline defense.
12 is not a lockdown defender. I think we can all agree to that right now.
Lauri barely plays any defense.
OO plays defense, but tends to rebound poorly for the position.
I think this lineup makes us harder to defend offensively, but we'd still get killed on the boards and have issues on defense.
Not many players out there are lockdown defenders and certainly not many on the block. Going to be hard to upgrade what 12 is currently giving us on defense. At least OG is an improvement over DJM on defense. OG / Dre would be fine on D.
At least Lauri is 7 ft tall. He's literally doing everything better right now than Siakam. Defensive ratings are about the same.
Keep Cap then if you're worried about rebounding.

I don't agree. This is a big issue on defense:
