    Either way, it's not professional. If that was another player on the Hawks' roster, we'd never hear the end of it.

    I'm sure he regrets it, but I think it's similar to the Kelce-Reid mini-scuffle during the Super Bowl... I'm sure Bogi probably just got a little over-amped, but I think Quin is smart enough to recognize that it was coming from a good place, and not from trying to show him up.

    Bogi threw a bottle and got into Quin face and they were going back and fore. At the end, Quin back to Bogi and hugged Bogi.

    Yeah, that kinda came out of nowhere.  Think it happened when Quin decided to put the end of the bench into the game... maybe Bogi thought he was being benched without realizing Chicago was waving the white flag?

    Quin, if you got guys out there who aren't competing, THEN BENCH THEIR ASS AND PLAY GUYS WHO WILL!!  For the life of me, I don't know why he refuses to play the young bucks when our regular rotation guys are absolute ass out there.  I was one of Quin's staunchest supporters when we hired him, but he's losing me real quick.  He's doing a lot of the same things that used to bug me about Nate.

    Good memory, I thought he was further north. They have the Grizzlies though and he hasn’t played there either lol. Seems like most of Paul Hewitt one and dones haven’t really done much for GT or Atlanta in general.

    Are you saying the 10 days that Derrick Favors kept the Hawks bench nice and warm meant nothing to you????

    He’s been mentioned so many times over the years on here, I’m surprised we haven’t spoken him being an Hawk into existence.

    GT bias too @Phunkabilly, but he was there for such a short time lol. Probably just a short memory in his life considering he wasn’t from Atlanta.

    True, but didn't he live close by?  Memphis, I thought?

  6. Looks like Thaddeus Young is available.  I admittedly have a strong GT bias, but I do think he would be good for the Hawks as PF depth.  Not sure if he'd be willing to come home versus trying to latch onto a contender though...

    Pickup Thaddeus Young.   He is going to be released.

    Haha, beat me to it.

  7. @theheroatl, I might have to smack some sense into ya, lol.  The main piece you would be getting there (at least from a usage perspective) is Lavine, who doesn't play a lick of defense and would absolutely cripple our financial flexibility for the foreseeable future.  The dude is already not performing up to his salary and will likely only get worse in future years.

    I'd be fine with PWill as a buy-low candidate, but am not willing to pay a premium for him.  He's decent on the defensive side, but his offense leaves a lot to be desired, although I would be interested in seeing if Trae could help elevate him on that side of the ball.  But add in the fact that he's looking to be PAID this upcoming offseason, so I wouldn't count on him to help us beyond this year.  If anything, the Hawks should have learned not to overpay role players who haven't really shown much so far.

    I do like Caruso, and he would be the main guy of interest to me here.

    From a player-to-player value perspective, in comparing performance to price, here's how I roughly see the comparison:

    DJ >>>> Lavine
    Bey = PWill
    Bogi = Caruso

    If you truly wanted to do a offense-for-defense swap, I would just make it Bey + Bogi for PWill + Caruso.  I think that's pretty close on value and makes much more sense if helping our defense is the goal.  Including Lavine just absolutely kills it for me.

    I don't think Ben Simmons wants to play basketball anymore

    It's either that or his body won't allow him to play basketball anymore.  Either way, he should be viewed as a $60M sunk cost at this point.

  9. I'm mainly addressing this to the Hawks' insiders, but what is happening in practice that isn't happening in the actual games?  From DJ's comments, it sounds like the team is working well together in practice.  What is being changed during the game, and why?  Is he saying that he's allowed to be more of a playmaker in practice, but not during the games?  Has Trae been playing off-ball more in practice?
