OO and AJ imo will not and should not be included on any trade.

JJ Bufkin Hunter and Capela are it. They can be used.

JJ, while athletic, doesn’t have as many skills as you would need for a starting 3-4. Maybe 3 and D but needs better 3 shooting.

JJ is just really a worse shooting, more aggressive Dre. I don’t trust his handles just like I don’t trust Dre’s handles even in year 5.

JJ has better court vision and is a MUCH better passer than Dre.  I agree that his three point shot needs to improve, but he has a good stroke.  I expect that part of his game to get much better this year.  He's also a better finisher than Dre, although not as good of a mid-range game.  Although frankly, I expect Snyder to push most of the guys to get away from the mid-range shot.

  2. Think I'm in agreement with Jaybird and Hawkish, and would keep the same 10.  To me, there's a clear top 11 worthy of keeping (Capela being the other).  I'd really, really hate to expose Capela, but I don't think I could bring myself to exposing any of the other 10.  I think Capela would have like a 95% chance of getting selected in the expansion draft, but so would the 10 we're keeping, I think.  I was considering keeping Capela and exposing Gueye, just because he has a chance to survive since he did last into the 2nd round of this year's draft and he hasn't had much exposure yet.  MAYBE an expansion team would overlook him due to the sheer volume of similar type of players that would be available to them.  But I really like his skillset and think he's the perfect developmental big for the Hawks, so ultimately I don't think I would risk exposing him.  As others have said, Bogi is a possibility as well, but I think his shooting and overall offensive game is too important for a team trying to compete for a 'chip like the Hawks.

  3. I believe I recall TyTy being mocked to us in a few drafts last year.  Kentucky guards DO have a pretty good track record for panning out in the NBA.  Certainly seems like we could do worse for a College Park stash and emergency PG.  @NBASupes, do you think he has a better chance of sticking with us, compared to say Tyrese Martin or Trent Forrest?

Pass because @JayBirdHawk scares me if I agree with @Phunkabilly for obvious reasons.

    Lol.

I went back and looked at the case against him... in my head, I thought he pleaded "not guilty" and it was still being decided in the courts.  But I see now that he pleaded "no contest" a while back.  I think everyone deserves a second chance, but man, he's gonna have to prove he's converted to a saint to have any hope of making up for those actions.  So yeahhhhh..... neeeeeeevermind

Who from this list interests you?

This is going to be a real unpopular pick for obvious reasons, but purely from a basketball standpoint, I've always wanted Miles Bridges.  Has a good all-around skill-set and has that dog in him.

Translation: Screw you, Liami!  Yall better go get some assets if'n you wanna play bawl!  Dame is under contract, he goin' where we says so.

I'm with you.  I'm really rooting for Portland on this one.  It just blows my mind how much power NBA players have in choosing their destination when they're under contract for VERY lucrative amounts.  Especially when you see just how powerless NFL players are in comparison (well, outside the top 10-15 QB's at least).

Nick is officially an owner now but he's not meddling as much as it was stated months ago to me and he's just involved but not 2k involved as was stated previously to me.

Yeah, that's why I put the "almost" in my statement.  He definitely hasn't been nearly as meddlesome as most of us feared.

Simple answer is this is what you get when the owner puts his son in the front office.

We went from a first class organization, to being bought by a bad owner, to to becoming a third rate one.

You don't know how close that (almost) hits home with Hawks fans, lol

Is Brook Lopez still on the market? That's one guy we could genuinely use.

Still available.  Rumor had it the Rockets were looking to sign him at 2 years/$40M.  Considering that's pretty much the exact same contract that Capela has, I'll ask everybody this... would you rather have Capela or Brook Lopez on the same 2 year/$43M contract?

Seriously who is that dude? Why does he look so familiar. He’s not a Braves player is he? If he’s not then a bunch our guys look alik:batman:

I think this same picture was discussed in a Braves forum a while back.  Turns out the dude is Daniel Lockhart, who is/was a minor league journeyman, including a stop with the Braves farm system.  His dad is Keith Lockhart, who played for the Braves back in the 90's.  But yeah, I thought he looked familiar too, although I definitely didn't know who Daniel Lockhart was.
