Countless times in a game we merely stand and watch the guy dribbling the ball... Our offensive sets, or lack thereof, are horrible... Can you not tell your team how to defend that? As the commentators pointed out, why is it other teams get so many open shots whereas we hardly EVER have an open look? Is it because we have an inept coach? If he's defensive minded, then why can't we stop a simple play?

I don't quite understand the limiting of Shelden's minutes as well. I was at the Denver game and the guy was playin' great defense (he gets more hands on interior passes than anyone) and then he sits for like the WHOLE game?!?!? I'm assuming it has to be a physical concern because he should be getting more minutes. Unless they're worried about his transition from college to pro to last the whole season. I'd like to see the Hawks play more of the 3-2 defense. The times they used in against Denver they were successful more than 67% of the time. Plus, it seems to help our rebounding even though zones aren't supposed to.

the points needed to win... I think Woody only called one timeout in the last 5 minutes of the game... I think he doesn't have faith in his ability to draw up a good play... Remember how Lenny would make the last 5 minutes of a game last an hour? He would call a timeout for each possession near the end of the game... Here, Woody would rather fly be the seat of his pants... Frustrating...

I'll agree (bein' a GT fan)... Crittenton has been more impressive to me than Young... Crittenton gets to the hole with ease and has a lot of dispy do shots around the rim to get his shot off... Plus, a very good FT shooter... I'd like him to stick around a few years like Jarrett did to improve his game instead of sitting on the bench for 2-3 years... I didn't realize he was a possible one and done as well like Thaddeus Young... I just don't see it yet in Young... Maybe they'll both stick around another year... If so, look out Tobacco Rd...

Marvin due back early December... He'll play 3-4 games off the bench to get him back in the flow... Then what... Who goes to the pine? I assume it'd be Shelden. Then ya probably won't see Smoove foul out of another game since he'll be sharing more minutes with Shelden.

Did anyone else notice that we'd be down 15 or so, bring in Lue/Childress, okay we're back even or ahead... Bring Smoove back in, okay we're back down... Smoove currently is hurting us on both ends of the floor... Ill advised shots on the offensive end and lack of defense on the other end... I've always said he should defend the weakest offensive player on the other team... That way he can do what he does best... Come behind his teammate defender and get the block... I think he should defend the opposing team's center (assuming they're the last offensive option which is the case for most NBA teams)... Keeping up with a defender on the move is not his strong suit.. He always lags behind.. If he's in the paint lurking, he always has the potential to intimidate or get a block (which he did several times last night; altering shots near the goal)... Childress on the other hand is playing an all around game and has matured his game quicker than Smoove's... Lue is currently hitting big shots and is the only PG we have that can hit the consistent outside shot... So START'em both! UNLESS, you feel like you need both of those guys to come off the bench to spell JJ... Starting both of those guys really does hurt your "2nd string" so maybe that's BK's thought process... Keep the team more even keel then have a big dropoff when your starters go out...

It seems he's better under pressure with his threes as well... Seems like countless times last year he hit big threes near the end of regulation or in OT like the Sonics game... But his 3PT% is a lot less during other times... That is one good thing about Josh, he loves taking the pressure shot and doesn't seem affected by it... I assumed the coaching staff encouraged him to shoot more 3s towards the end of last year in hopes of opening up drives to the rim for him... But it appears teams are sagging off of him knowing it's the higher percentage play and the strategy may have backfired...
