  1. Happy Birthday Bebe Once again.... someone make sure you take him out to the strip club and waffle house afterwards. Welcome to ATL where the players play....
  2. can we get a quick repost of the rounds/picks as well
  3. Yeah Luther is one of the few series I had to tune into. I tried to "space it out" and restrain myself from running through the season in a day. So I just watched nightly. American Horror Story and Walking dead are my other must watch series. I have Copper queued up in the on deck spot.
  4. lol out here in Denver I past by Perkins all the time like wtf is a wafflehouse when you need one.... I wouldn't take perk for those 2 years if that's the case. Don't know what he has left in the tank but he is a big body with grit. Is the talent/price better than Ivan who kind of fills the same role
  5. I was trying to cook up a little drama/suspense with my pick initially. Not knowing I would have to step away for a couple of hours, I was not able to go into detail about my pick. So to clear up confusion, and to avoid having my player being picked(Novak,Thompson) while I play head games, I will go ahead and say that my first pick is Markieff Morris, and I will leave the other Morris up for grabs. Sorry about the confusion, but I expected to be online to jaw back and forth etc. That being said. With the 217th pick in the Hawksquawk summer dynasty draft Chinky Eyed Hawk does not pick the other Morris sibling and instead opts to go with Razor Ramon Sessions pg. PG Jrue Holiday/Dennis Schröder/Ramon Sessions SG Eric Gordon/Marcus Thornton/Kentavious Caldwell-Pope SF LeBron James/Carlos Delfino PF Chris Bosh/Markieff Morris C Spencer Hawes/Robin Lopez Led by the incomparable Rick Carlisle
  6. With pick #216 in the Hawksquawk Summer Dynasty Draft, Chinky Eyed Hawk is glad to welcome M. MORRIS to the team.
  7. Dammit!!! wait? I thought I was up next? what did I miss?
  8. Count your blessings. I started to draft him last round, but went with the homer decision in drafting Schröder.
  9. It should mean the return of both Schröder and possibly Muscala at least, maybe even BeBe. I am not sure we play in Vegas every year, and we don't usually find out until June/July anyway but I would be game to meet others
  10. If we are hearing about it.... Think the opposite. Prove me otherwise this off season.
  11. Are they still going by the whole quarters won system? If so, just because we lost the game doesn't mean we don't advance, it's more of a how many quarters did we win. I agree, we should have had that game.
  12. It sucks that everyone puts all their eggs in one basket with this team. For a lot of fans here it seems like there is this championship or bust mentality and while I agree with most, that we have been nothing more than a 2nd round playoff team at best, I don't agree with the championship or tank mentality. I try not to chime in on this subject as everyone has their opinion and most won't be swayed to the other side of the conversation no matter what side of the fence you are on. But I will like to point out a couple of things: In any offseason, for the most part there are no more than let's say 2-3 TOP tier free agents. These are the bonofied superstars, with their brand in place, multiple all-star appearances, best player on any team they would go to type players. Then there's the serviceable group, be it starters on the verge of being greater or key players to start or come off the bench. Then there's everyone else... be it potential, change of scenery, playing style, etc. No matter how much money you can throw at a player(max deals), who's on your rosters, the coaching staff, or the city, It's up to the player to make the decision. All that being said, You can make the best pitch possible no matter if you are the mighty lakers, the "treadmill" hawks", or the lowly bobcats it's ultimately up to the player to make the best decision for himself, his family, and his brand. It's easy to say that DF has failed because he didn't get that 1 player you thought you he should get, but its not that simple people. A gm's ahead of the curve if he gets close to 40-50% of his decisions right. That's how tough that role is people. If you did 40% of your job right, you probably wouldn't have the job in the first place, and it damn sure wouldn't be viewed as a success I assure you. All that being said, I don't think Danny has made a single "wrong" move. Sure Brand isn't Spry, but he still very serviceable. I would even dare to say more so at this stage in his career than when we got Bibby, which for this franchise was the most solid move in a very long time. It's not like we are resting out hopes on Antoine Walker or anything... lol If you can start by bringing in nice "secondary" personnel to the team, it makes the team more competitive overall and ultimately makes it easier for that "superstar of tomorrow" to say, "they have nice pieces, I like what they are doing in Atlanta, they've been a playoff team for the past 6 years and just need that piece to get over the hump, and I want to be a part of it." This is the hawks I see DF building. The one where he had to clean up Billy's choices FIRST. Get the type of players that will buy into the system next, then have those pieces attracted that $$$$$$$$$ FA everyone wants. CHURCH
  13. I think the important thing to recognize here is that throughout the signings, everyone has said the same thing be it returning guys or those new to the fold and that is... "Danny is building something special here and I want to be a part of that." I have to say it was said by everyone we signed if I am not mistaken. Whatever Kool-Aid DF is stirring up, whoever sips from glass wants more and that's key.
