LaBron Schmrabron.

Everyone is upset about not getting this kid. I hear everyone saying it is two years before we can make any real moves.

Etc and so on and so forth ... Yadda-yadda....

LaBron is 18. LaBron is going to have to mature and as everyone knows -- there is no SURE THING in transition between competitive levels.

Who cares that we lost our number 8 draft pick. After the top 3, no one is really stellar.

Personally, I think LeBron would boost attendance and not much else. I could be wrong. He may come out and be the next MJ or Magic... but, I think it will take a couple years ... at least.

More important than getting another overhyped punk ... we should be looking at ditching off our dead weight. Ala' Glenn Robinson.

This team needs any talent in can get...We have Ira

starting most of the time...We have no bench,no PG,

no starting worthy SG.

Hype is something we sure could use right now.

Hype doesn't win games.

LeBron would fill the stands for awhile, but wouldn't do much to our winning percentage.

The best thing about him is that he might decide to pass more.

But, overall it isn't what we need.

We need to pick up role players. Let Reef be the focal point for the next two years. He may not be the All-Star that everyone wants ... but guess what ... there are only 4 of those guys in the league ... and one just retired.

He already has been LONG enough and he hasn;t got

the job done.I'm tired of the careless Reef being a

first option when he isnt good enough to be one.

"LeBron would fill the stands for awhile, but wouldn't do much to our winning percentage."

We could even have traded the pick and got ALOT for

it.We would have lots of power had we got that pick.

Oh and Shareef will never sell tickets I can promise

you that.He's boring.

HotLanta,

Tim Duncan is the same as Reef in terms of excitement. His team wins. There is the difference. But, it isn't because they are stacked with superstars.

They are a bunch of decent roleplayers around one REAL stud.

Reef could be that type of player. He never had the cast. There is always someone on the team that THINKS they are better, and expect Reef to adapt. The coach goes along with it, because Reef doesn't complain.

Your real reason for hating Reef isn't his talent level or what he can accomplish -- it is because he isn't a ballhog/selfish thug. He's a TEAM PLAYER.

Sorry, that doesn't amount to a strike in my book.

Reef isn't half as good as Tim Duncan is.

How many teams has Reef averaged 10RPG?Only

once?

How many times has he averaged 25PPG?Never

He isn't as good of a defender,rebounder,passer,

shot blocker.

There is also something that TD has that Reef doesn't..

SIZE

" The coach goes along with it, because Reef doesn't complain. "

Reef whines all the time.He cries to the refs every

game.

Reef isn't as good as you want him to be.You are biased.

I am definatly biased. No doubt.

Tim Duncan is the best in the game. But, his game is Reef's game, he just has more desire and is more mature at this point.

But, on the offensive end -- Reef is just as talented as Duncan. More so, even. He is just less imposing and cares less. He can pass with Duncan now, too. TD averages more in both areas due to the system and the way the players gel together.

On the defensive end, TD is better in every category. No contest.

Reef may whine to refs, but he doesn't complain after the game or to the coaches. He isn't Kobe "Give Me The Darn Ball" Bryant ...

No he's not...Duncan being 7'1 can shoot over guys

and SAR can't.Duncan is even a better ball handler.

SAR is a 3rd option a best.Just ask the coaches

around the league.Even other players will tell you

Reef is predictable and can be stoped when he

really needs to be stoped.

"I am definatly biased. No doubt"

Not much else to say..

I like you,you're a good guy...but I think you are

wrong in this arguement.

I'll take Kobe over Reef anyday...Atleast Kobe wants

to win...Cna't say that for Reef.

Kobe may WANT to win, but was proven that he can't even lead him team to a 30% record in the absense of Shaq. And that is one darn good team overall. They didn't miss a beat when Kobe's out.

As for Duncan, he isn't a better ball handler. He doesn't really move too much while dribbling.

As for the coaches and player's comments... it is an amazing thing that Reef torches most of them nightly then.

As for being a 3rd option ... that is even more ludicrious than saying Reef is the next MJ.

Tell me how many of these players you want:

Derek Fisher

Rick Fox

Robert Horry(he was terrible this year)

Slava Mevedenko

Samki Walker

Deaven George

Isn't exactually a good list of players is it?

Fisher is the Lakers weak link.Funny that Nick was

the weak link when he was there but now it's Fisher.

Everytime I hear somebody call Fisher a good defender

I want to throw up.

Other than Shaq and Kobe the Hawks are more talented

than the Lakers in every position including the bench.

Alan Henderson probably would start instead of Walker

over there.JT surely would start over Fisher..And Dog

would start over Fox.

Newble/Dickau/Nazr/hendu/Moore is better than

Horry/Pargo/Slava/Shaw

"s for the coaches and player's comments... it is an amazing thing that Reef torches most of them nightly then. "

19.9PPG isn't exactually torching them everynight.

"As for being a 3rd option ... that is even more ludicrious than saying Reef is the next MJ. "

To a homer it probably is=)

Hotlanta,

I disagree. The Lakers talent isn't high, but their desire and ability to play WITHIN the scope of the team concept is what helps them win.

We don't do that.

The only reason the Celtics are worth a darn is that the other players play their role.

I mean, we have 20 options on a team with 12 players. Dion Glover thinks he is a no.1 option. Dog thinks he is. Terry thinks he is. Ira goes off sometimes and just hoists them.

No one wants to be the defender or the rebounder.

You got adjust to the players around you...

Duncan used to carry the Spurs...but now they have

Parker is becoming more offensive and so is Ginobilli

(I'd love to have this guy on our team)

It's not all Reef's fault...but there was games to where

we could have won if he had tried harder.

"he only reason the Celtics are worth a darn is that the other players play their role."

The Celtics have Paul Pierce and we don't.

I understand what you are trying to say, but Reef

dissappears for large parts of times and so other

guys take shots.Reef isn't good enough to build

around him like you can Duncan.

Reef might be as good as Walker or Rasheed Wallace

at best...but not Duncan/KG/Dirk or even a healthy

McDyess.
